EASTER EGG FRENCH TOAST: Breakfast-Brunch

egg-shaped or oval cookie cutter
12-16 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 beaten eggs
1 cup half and half cream
1/8 tablespoon nutmeg
1/4 tablespoon vanilla
8 oz softened low fat cream cheese
8 oz low fat yogurt (your choice of flavor)
jam (your choice of flavor, preferable same as yogurt)
Tip: To keep warm for a few minutes until serving time, turn oven to about 150-200 degrees, line baking sheet with foil and overlap the edge of one piece of toast just slightly on the one next to it so the toast does not become soggy.
Combine the softened cream cheese, yogurt and preserves. Spread the mixture on top of half of the French toast and put another piece of toast on top. Spread jam on top of the second piece.
