Finnish Casserole: Breakfast-Brunch

1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk
3/4 cup butter, divided
Melt 1/4 cup butter in the bottom of a 9x13" pan while oven preheats to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl mix the eggs, sugar, flour, salt, milk and the other 1/2 cup of butter, melted (and slightly cooled).
Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and cool for several minutes before cutting into squares.
Note: The entire dish can be cooked and refrigerated then individual portions reheated in the microwave before serving.
