Cream Cheese Breakfast Cake with Walnuts

Ingrédients

  • 1 cup Softened butter
  • 1/3 cup Chopped Walnuts
  • 8 oz package Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • TOPPING
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup choped walnuts

  1. Butter a 10-inch springform pan. Spread 1/3 cup chopped walnuts over the bottom.
  2. Beat together butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in orange peel and vanilla.
  3. Sift together dry ingredients; add to butter mixture blending well. Stir in 1 cup chopped walnuts. Pour into prepared pan.
  4. Mix together the topping ingredients and sprinkle on top, pressing gently.
  5. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until tester comes out clean. Serve warm right from the oven.
