Whole Wheat Brownies

Ingrédients

  • 10 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  1. Melt butter over low heat in medium saucepan. Add sugar, stirring to blend.
  2. Whisk cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, salt. Add to pan & stir. Mixture will be dry. Remove from heat.
  3. Whisk eggs & vanilla and add to brownie mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips quickly and turn into a 9X13 foil-lined baking pan.
  4. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until crust is set but middle is still soft. Cool & cut into 24 squares, then into 48 triangles, if desired.
