Candlelight Inn Fudge Bars: Dessert

Ingredients:

• 

  12 oz Pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

• 

  14 oz Can sweetened condensed milk

• 

  1 cup plus 2 Tbl. butter

• 

  2 1/4 cups Brown sugar

• 

  2 Eggs

• 

  2 cups Flour

• 

  1 teaspoon Salt

• 

  1 teaspoon Vanilla

• 

  1/2 cup Chopped nuts

• 

  1/2 cup Grated coconut

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x13 baking pan.

Step 2:

Melt 1 cup butter, mix together with brown sugar, eggs, flour, salt, vanilla, nuts, and coconut.

Step 3:

Melt chocolate chips, 2 Tb. butter, and sweetened condensed milk in double boiler, stirring until smooth.

Step 4:

Spread 1/2 of brown sugar dough into prepared pan. Spread with chocolate mixture. Spread remaining brown sugar dough over chocolate and swirl slightly.

Step 5:

Bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool, slice into squares or rectangles. Yields approx. 32 bars.
