Lemon Bread: Bread

1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup milk
juice of one lemon
1/3 cup sugar
Combine wet ingredients except lemon juice.
Combine dry ingredients, except 1/3 cup sugar. Then mix with wet ingredients; stir thoroughly.
Pour batter into a 4-1/2" X 8-1/2" greased loaf pan and bake 325 degrees until toothpick inserted in center comes out dry -- approximately 1 hour.
Make lemon glaze by combining lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar; heat in microwave at full power for one minute.
Cool bread for 10 minutes, then using a chop stick or ice pick, poke 15-20 holes in top of loaf. Drizzle hot lemon glaze over loaf. Cool completely, then slice.
