1 drop red food coloring (to make a pale pink frosting)
Mix first 4 ingredients. Form into 1-inch balls, use flour to handle. Makes 36 cookies. Indent thumbprint. Refrigerate for 1 hour
Bake 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes. Cookies should be a pale color with only a ting of color on the bottom of the cookie. Let cool.
For Frosting: Cream 2 tablespoons of melted butter with 1 cup confectioners sugar, 1 tablespoon almond extract, 2 teaspoons half and half and 1 drop of red food coloring. Ice each cookie with a star decorating tip. Enjoy!
