Brule of Brie & Artichoke

  • Steamed Artichoke Hearts (canned are Ok, just soak in fresh water and drain thoroughly, pat dry)
  • GOOD Brie (hating to sound snobby, but imported is best)
  • Blackened Red Pepper (canned roasted peppers are ok, soaked and drained)
  • Heads of Elephant Garlic
  • Mayonnaise(preferably extra heavy)
  • fresh chives or scallions chopped
  • Lemon Pepper
  • Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper

  1. Cut the brie into 1/2 inch squares; coarsely chop the artichokes; Finely chopped the elephant Garlic
  2. Mix All Ingredients in a Large Bowl, making sure that everything is well incorporated.
  3. Baked in a 375F Oven for Approx. 20 min, until top starts to form a brown crust. If pools of oil start to form, remove immediately.
  4. Serve with small bowls and serving spoon and provide guests with an array of crackers (Carrs Cracked Pepper Crackers work well) ENJOY
  5. Spoon mixture into a Cassarole Dish, with an even depth of approx. 1 inch
