Aloha Granola

Ingrédients

  • 10 cups oatmeal (uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, (unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts or almonds, (unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, (unsalted)
  • 1/2 cup dried pineapple pieces - chopped
  • 1/4 cup coconut flakes
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup dried mango pieces - chopped
  • 1/2 cup hot water or apple juice
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  1. Stir together all dry ingrediants in a large bowl.
  2. Mix in a 2 cup glass measuring cup the honey and water or apple juice with the brown sugar until the brown sugar has dissolved completely.
  3. Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients in the large bowl and mix until well coated.
  4. Spread your granola mix out evenly on a baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes. Remove and stir the granola and respread out and bake for an additional 5 minutes then set out to cool completely before eating.
  5. Store in an airtight container once the granola has cooled off.
