Little English Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast

Location, Location Location....very convenient to the capitol, shopping and great restaurants. Rooms were clean and tastefully decorated with great spa shower. Breakfast room was delightful and stocked with "extras". Our host Tracey was charming and made us feel right at home. Great place to meet up with family and friends and have a nice sitting area to share.

Truly exceptional service - my family and I felt right at home! Thanks, Tracey - we'll be back! :-)

This BB is warm and welcoming. From the moment I approached the door I felt at home. It has a beautiful garden and the rooms are very peaceful and inviting. Lovely, comfortable room and bath. Breakfast area was small and breakfast was very simple. Bagels, english muffins and bowl of fruit. Nice chocolates and ice cream available in evenings. Tracey was super friendly. Lots of British decor and reading material. Living area was small also. Nice entry gardens but off a busy road. Nice for us since we just were there late at night and left early in am.

When arriving the landscaping was very welcoming and beautiful. Tracy was very informative and professional. Never saw her again the rest of the stay however. The British charm was a fresh change from typical Florida or country decor usually in a Inn, bnb or guesthouse. Breakfast was very minimal and the second morning I did not see Tracy at all. The area's available to guest are small so it is challenging to visit with other guest. However, if there on business and you are only sleeping and bathing it is perfect for the need. Quiet neighborhood great shopping and dining close by. The room was a bit warm and there was no thermostats or way to climate control your room. The room was very clean Tracy was accommodating when checking in. Tallahassee is a beautiful city to visit.

We're glad you appreciated our beautiful landscaping, clean room and accomodating innkeeper - and that you enjoyed our British charm - we try hard not to be just like all the "other" places! I'm so sorry you didn't see the innkeeper, it's likely I was in another room, or nearby somewhere. I always point out the bell to guests, so they can let me know if/when they're ready to chat and it's an acquired skill knowing when to chat and when a guest just wants a few minutes alone - obviously I goofed on this one! The conservatory (see photo in the album below) has seating for 7 with lots of walking space and the breakfast room seats 6, although we don't usually have 6 people all appear at the same time. And of course we have a Little English garden with 3-4 benches dotted around for guests to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. I do offer my apologies if you found it challenging to visit other guests, but I'm not sure I understand the reason. It is true we do not offer a large, hotel style lobby/bar, but if we did, we wouldn't be quite so little, English or charming - characteristics we love! Our rooms all have ceiling fans, oscillating fans and heaters and we do ask guests if the temperature is ok. We would have been happy to adjust the central A/C had we known you were a bit warm as your comfort is our goal. I do hope you'll give us another try next time you're in our beautiful city as we'd love to sit and chat over a cup of tea!

This is a wonderful B&B. Tracey's thoughtful attention to every detail provides a comfortable, quiet and enjoyable place to stay. The beds are so comfy and the rooms are very clean. Tracey provides a wonderful assortment of breakfast offerings each morning with delicious fresh fruit, and even has ice cream in the freezer for a midnight snack. There is such a peaceful tranquility about the Little English Guesthouse; one immediately feels relaxed upon entering. When the Florida legislature is in session (as it was during our stay at this delightful B&B), things in Tallahassee can get hectic. Fortunately, the Statffordshire Room at the Little English Guesthouse is a place away from all of the craziness. Strong attention to detail and important details top off the strong benefits of this slice of Anglo comfort in the midst of an upscale suburb of the capital city. Hostess, Vickey was most gracious and she looked after all of our needs and made us feel right at home. We recommend it.

Comfortable and well apportioned. What more could you ask for? Easy access from Interstate 10 and only minutes from downtown Tallahassee make the Little English Guesthouse a pleasure. Typical continental breakfast was more than adequate; loved the fresh sliced strawberries and bran muffins. So much more pleasurable than a motel room. I should know. As Chief Engineer at a well known Marriott I would pick the Little English Guesthouse any day of the week. It really is that nice.

Charming & comfortable, convenient & cost-effective

We went to visit our son who has just started college. The local motels had very poor reviews so we decided to try a bed and breakfast. What a great idea that was! The room was lovely, the decorations charming – a real labor of love. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast served in a wonderful charming breakfast room. The fresh cut fruit and choice of continental style breads and cereal were very, very nice. The price was fantastic – and I will try to go there each time I visit my son (very convenient). The English garden outside was a extra unexpected treat.

Spent 2 nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast in Tallahassee while visiting family. The room was exceptional whilst maintaing privacy with everything you expect to find in a big name chain hotel. Great vaule for money with lots of freebies like Wifi, parking and even ice cream. The free healthy breakfast of cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit and yogurt etc was more than ample and a great way to start any day. The fact Tracey is from England and owns this English Guesthouse gives a perfect authentic experience. Tracey and Tom were more than helpful and a perfect hosts. Convenient and close to down town - perfect. Great value for money. we will be returning.

We had a wonderful time in Tallahassee, and it was great to call the Little English Guesthouse home while we were there. It's a very comfortable location with a charming warmth. The guest areas are small, but not cramped tight - they're cozy. We would definitely stay again, and recommend to our friends.

It wasn't exactly what I expected for a bed a breakfast form the outside. We expected a home that was more historic and colonial. We also expected that we would be served a hot breakfastBut it was nice and the room was cozy and clean and decorated nicely. The owner was nice, pleasant and courteous and we will visit another bed and breakfast again. this was our first experience.

We stayed for one night and only wish that it could have been longer. Tracey and Thom are lovely people, and made us feel not just at home, but like family. We stayed in the Essex room, which was very comfy, and had the best shower I've ever used! Staying here again would be as good a reason as any to return to Tallahassee :)

We are sorry this guest did not feel his stay was good value for money. Most of our guests agree we offer excellent value for money! We inform guests on our website, in our emails and on the telephone exactly what our deluxe continental breakfast consists of so they are not surprised, and usually very pleased. While very unassuming from the exterior, the rooms and appointment of this charming B&B were quite enjoyable. Tracey was very friendly and helpful in our search for nearby shopping opportunities. The only downside to our room was the lack of a dresser or other bit of furniture to temporarily store clothes. My rating on dining was due to the fact that none was specifically prepared as I have come to expect at B&B's. Instead, a full compliment of fruits, cereals, pastries and other usual breakfast foods and beverages are made available for guests at their own convenience. On the up side, free wi-fi was a treat and the remodeled bathroom was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I discovered this little gem while traveling on business. The accomodations are first-rate and the value is incredible! I highly recommend it to anyone!

Stayed one night and had a comfortable stay, but later discovered that I had been overcharged. When I complained, the overcharge was quickly corrected, but it was a bit disconcerting.

This bed and breakfast was by far home from home to me. It was just like being back in Englnad. The service and friendliness from Tracey and Thom were without question, better than any hotel i have stayed in. I shall be back here when next on business in TLH I was pleased to find it was close to downtown and the interstate. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to any businessman/women wanting a change from the same old hotel scene. I have stayed in 2 out of the 3 bedrooms and look forward to satying in 3rd bedroom.
