My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Old Powder House Inn! We wanted a place to stay in the midst of old downtown St. Augustine. Our room, Serenity, was perfect for us. We loved having access to the veranda and enjoyed our happy hour soaking up the ambiance in the heart of town; watching the people come and go at a nearby restaurant and watching the people in their horse drawn carriages. Breakfast was fantasic, the best breakfast I have ever had! Their homemade cereal was delicious along with the french toast, muffins & Mimosa's!! One of the best parts of our stay was that we were able to park our car and walk every where we wanted to go. We did not get in the car once during our entire stay at the Inn. My husband said it was the best Birthday weekend he has ever had!!

I would definitely recommend the Old Powder House to anyone looking for a B&B in St. Augustine. Katy and Kal (the Innkeepers) were very warm and friendly. They did everything possible to make sure our stay was enjoyable and memorable. The only negative was that although the Grace Darling room where we stayed was very nice, it was smaller and less luxurious than I expected. We paid what I consider a premium price for the was is (presumably) the best room in the inn, but it did not seem "premium". Perhaps the other rooms were a better value.

Wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend in St. Augustine, with no real agenda. Without the kids, decided to try a bed & breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were relaxed & pleased with the quaintness of the room & the exceptional customer service & attention to our needs. Loved the ability to park on Friday in the back and not touch the car till Sunday. We were able to walk everywhere! Thanks for a memorable visit, we will be back! (Couple aged 25-35, Orlando, FL)

What a lovely place to stay, the hosts are gracious and its so close to everything, it was our second time there and we are glad to stay at the Old Powder House Inn.

Very nice Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine. We were only there for one night,but wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was fantastically comfortable!! The service was exceptional. The only thing I didn't love about it was that our room was on the bottom floor by the landing and we could hear people out on the porch and coming and going early in the morning.

I love everything about the Old Powder House Inn except for two important things. The first one is that I stayed in the Queen Anne's Lace room in which the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by only a flimsy louvered door. Though visually separated, the sounds and smells of the bathroom were literally a part of the bedroom. My wife and I actually had to leave the room in order to give the other some privacy, but the smells remained due to poor ventilation. Also, Cordova street is very loud, so sleeping was not uninterrupted. I hate to write this because the house and hosts are phenomenal! Simply the best people, ever. Perhaps other rooms have better separation of facilities, but I only know my own experience.

We loved our room! We stayed in the Grace Darling Room, it has a private entrance near the parking area. The room is laid out perfectly, the fireplace helps for the cold nights and adds to the romance of this room. This room is perfect for anyone who wants to reconnect with their significant other. No TV, the jacuzzi tub is located in the bedroom area, there is a separate bathroom that contains a shower. Our couple days there were very rainy, so we spent a lot of time in our room. Every morning Katy & Kal make a fresh healthy breakfast, our first morning we were served French toast stuffed with cream cheese, pineapple & apricot (I think). Our stay was very memorable, we will definitely return! :)

Great location, close to downtown area, can easily walk to restaurants and shops

The accommodation was perfect. The location and setting were idyllic and allowed easy access to all points of interest. Comfortable porch and lovely landlady.

Great place to stay and close to Old City and restaurants. The room we stayed at was called "Enchanted Hideaway". This room is in the back of the house . This room is perfect if you don't like the noise coming out from across the street, "the Tasting Room to go" has a live band on Thursday night and it can get a little loud. It also blocks the traffic noise. On the "con" side; this room is very small, the bathroom and especially the shower are not designed for a "full figure" person, lucky for me I'm a small guy and so is my wife. The breakfast creations are great, overall service; great!

The Old Powder House Inn was wonderful. The Miranda room was very nice. The two breakfasts (one made by Kal and one made by Katie) were delicious! The inn is conveniently located to all areas of downtown and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit St. Augustine!

We had a pretty pleasant stay at this Inn (Miranda Room). The room was clean and neat, the property was very nice as well. The best parts are the breakfast (it was delicious) and the location (you are in the heart of the old town)! Overall, however, i think the stay was a little pricey for what you get-we stayed on the night from Sat to Sun and paid $214 (taxes included) just to sleep in the room and wake up to a pretty good breakfast; the rest of the time0 we spent walking around and enjoying the town.

A good bargain in a great location. The owners were helpful and knowledgeable about the area, sites and dining options. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Breakfast was a culinary delight.

My husband and I spent one night at The Old Powder House Inn. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine. We were told we had the smallest room there. It was beautiful, cozy, very clean and we would definately choose that room again. The atmosphere was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious. The lemonade and cookies were scrumptious. You could never find nicer, friendlier Innkeepers anywhere. If we ever get a night away from our children again, we will definately pack our bag, leave Ga. and head to St. Augustine to the Old Powder House Inn.

My husband and I stayed at the inn for a romantic weekend getaway. It was centrally located and close to all the action. We didn't have to use our car once the entire weekend, everything was within walking distance. The room was cozy and comfortable. Katie and Kal were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return again and again.

My wife and I were is Saint Augustine for our first visit to the historical city. The Old Powder House Inn was in the central location with the historical districts within walking distance. Resturants were easy to find and the Inn was exactly what we required. Katie & Kal were most helpful and hospitable. Saint Augustine was our first stop for a couple of days than we went to St Simons for the remainder of our trip. Great place!

My husband and I have made day trips to St Augustine 2-3 times a year for many years, but this is the first time we stayed overnight. This beautiful Bed and Breakfast is just wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by Katie and spent a beautiful weekend that was just made even better by the Kalietas hospitality. We stayed in the Serenity Room, on the second floor surrounded by leafy trees. We even had a small table and chairs reserved just for us on the porch so we could "people watch". Yes, we will stay there again. The Old Powder House in is just a half block or so from great restaurants and the old city. We were able to park our car on Friday evening when we arrived, and didnt have to touch it until it was time to leave. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to avoid that touristy feeling. We plan on returning at least once a year. And, to top off a great place, breakfasts were delicious!

My girlfriends and I stayed in the Garden Room this past weekend while visiting for the St. Augustine Pirate Gathering. We were thrilled to be Katie and Kal's first pirate guests! The Garden Room was incredibly accomodating for three young women and many piratical accessories. The breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday was delicious (the ambrosia Sunday morning - YUM!) and Katie and Kal always made sure we had everything we could have needed for a perfect Girls Getaway!

We stayed in the Enchanted Hideaway, and while the room is small, its location is great--very private and very quiet. Katie and Kal are great hosts.

This inn was perfectly situated close to Flagler College and the old city. We could walk everywhere. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Inn to anyone wanting to get the feel and flavor of beautiful St. Augustine.

Katie could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The Inn was quaint and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good but my husband is a big breakfast person and would have liked a little more for breakfast, for me it was perfect. Would definitely go visit again!!

The Inn Keepers were so gracious and the food was wonderful. Great location and very safe. The Inn was quite charming and very relaxful. We enjoyed the upper porch with swinging bench. It was very romantic drinking champagne and watching the horse and buggys go by at night. Dana

We enjoyed our stay very much and will probably be returning some time in the near future. The room was lovely the food was excellent but the best part was the hospitality of the Kalieta's. We also enjoyed the conversation at breakfast with the other guests.

This was the second time my wife and I have stayed at the Old Powder House in the last year. The location is perfect, and Katie and Kal are very hospitable innkeepers. The best part of the stay is the breakfast-- a different and wonderful creation each morning.

The room was lovely and the innkeepers were wonderful. The location was perfect for walking every where. The only complaint was the size of the shower but we did opt for the least expensive room.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Old Powder House Inn. Our "Splendid Room" was just that! Very clean, superior service, delicious breakfast every morning and just perfectly located!! Walking distance from a majority of the sites and the trolley took us where we couldn't walk so we didn't have to move our car. We will definitely stay there again & again!!

This was a fantastic B&B. We have stayed in 4 different ones in St. Augustine and this is by far the best. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful, the staff keeps the place spotless and the location so close to the old, downtown amenities means you park your car when you get there and shouldn't need to drive it again until it's time to leave. The price, location and fabulous food make this a must stay for anyone visiting St Augustine or (like us) has a child in school at Flagler College. It's only a block away!

Unfortunately, ours was a 1-night stay because we were en route to another destination. I would love to have stayed much longer. The room was just beautiful...comfortable...a real treat. Our hosts were engaging, warm and welcoming. The food was excellent! We will definitely go back and stay longer another time. Wonderful place!

I got a little misty when Miss Katie informed me of the surprise she had in store for us when we arrived for our 39th wedding anniversary. It was a great gift and we were treated like royalty. We did a St Augustine/Savannah/Charleston trip. We enjoyed our stay at the Old Powder Inn so much that on our way back, we stayed another night. Katie is wonderful and has a great place!!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to fax some documents and they helped me accomplish this. Would definitely go back.

We had a lovely one night, mid-week getaway! Inn is in a great location. Room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable, which is saying a lot since I was 9 months pregnant! Breakfast was delicious and Katie & Kal were very hospitable hosts.

We stayed for the 4th of July. Room was clean and ready when we checked in. We missed breakfast because the alarm did not go off on our phone for unknown reasons...I had looked forward to the breakfast too. We only stayed one night. Check out was very easy-just turn in the key. Only complaint is parking area is very small. We were afraid the car might be hit, but luckily that didn't occur!

Excellent location to historic downtown. Two great resturants just across the street. Service was great. Katie and Kal were friendly and great host. Breakfast was perfect. Outstanding quality and quanity.

Barely blocks from most landmarks in the city we were blown away by the service, the room, the breakfast and the balcony. Better than any chain hotel experience I have had in years. We will be returning.

enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient to all the places you want to be in st. augustine. 5 min walk got you to the main scene there. our room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable for the night. our room was right on the street, and was very quiet during the night. the only reason i gave the dining a below average rating was because of the time they do breakfast. it is at 8:45am and as i found out too late it was the only sitting, and we were not up in time to enjoy it. that time of morning is a bit early for us. i wish instead of one seating they would have a time period that guests could come in for breakfast.

Katie & Kal & staff were excellent. They truly made our special occasion memorable. My wife was in tears upon arrival as she is from another time & place where Victorian rules. They had that "I can arrange that, attitude." The breakfast was excellent and the accomodations were truly Victorian. We will be back and tell our friends & family.Our only negative was the horse and carriage ride on our anniversary night.That had nothing to do with Katie & Kal.The horse had new shoes and a new bit and was unruly. Our drinks were spilled all over us and we had to throw them out because of being jostled back & forth.The girl was nice and informative, but our ride was shortened because of the horse behavior.That horse shouldn't have been sent out on a "peaceful" carriage ride. Overall, St Augustine was beautiful and we will be back.

The reason I chose "Met my expectations is that we have stayed with Katie & Cal twice before and knew what great things to expect.

This was our first visit to the Old Powder House Inn, but I'll be surprised if it's our last. We had the smallest room and absolutely loved it. If you visit St. Augustine so that you can tour the city, this is a perfect place to stay - easy walking distance to almost everything!

Great location just two blocks from St. George Street, one can easily walk everywhere. Discounts for older guests and military (includes retirees) add value. Breakfast offerings change daily, are delightful, and somewhat on the "too much" end of the food scale - makes it harder to enjoy all the great opportunities in St. Augustine (but what the heck, you're on vacation). We will definitely return. Saw many other places not as well positioned or without on site parking which is a huge benefit there.

I have been at home recooping from recent surgery and my husband surprised me with an overnight trip to St. Augustine. Our stay at The Old Powder Inn was perfect!! Simply put, Our stay exceeded our expectations and was the most romantic getaways possible.We stayed in the Grace Darling Room. I would highly recommend the powder house B&B to family and friends as I would also recommend the Collage Resturant and the private horse and carraige ride in the evening, with a bottle of wine. We stayed our first night of this years tour at the Old Powder House after vflying in from the UK. We stayed in Serenity Room it was exceptional and the verandah rounded off the perfect accommodation. The reception when we arrived and during the stay was friendly and everythinng we coud have wished for and the breakfast especially eggs cordova was a real event. It is a place towhich we will return.

Our first visit to this historic city was made even better with or stay here

We enjoyed the location, price and laid back atmosphere. My recommendation is that this BB purchase a small ice machine in case you are looking for some ice late at night or in the early hours of the morning. The owners did tell me that ice was available and I just had to ask for it. However, what if you don't feel comfortable waking up the owners at a inconveinent time. Otherwise, this was a positive experience overall.

We celebrated a special anniversary here and would do it again. The innkeepers shared their enthusiasm and expertise about the city as well as helped us get tour tickets, restaurant reservations etc. There is excellent eating and sightseeing within the immediate area and a shuttle stop at the end of the block for easy access to everything else.

The breakfasts were superb, the attention to the guests was magnificent, recommendations for tours and restaurants was "spot-on," the location could not be more convenient - we parked the car and enjoyed walking and relaxing for the entire visit.

This was an ideal stay at a wonderful inn. We stayed over for only one night for a business trip and it was delightful. It's perfectly located near Flagler College and the heart of the historic district.

Stayed in the Enchanted Cottage room with a girlfriend for our Girl's Weekend Away. The room, while small, is still a decent size and has its own private porch which more than makes up for any possible downside. The bathroom was a good sized and included all the basic amenities. This being a weekend getaway we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Breakfast was delicious and since I don't eat pork was treated to my own mini quiche that was beyond amazing. Add that to the mimosas(a treat for Sundays), the cream filled peach starter, custom cereal and muffins, and fresh coffee. The owners were very friendly and made you feel like you're at home(or better than at home). I will definitely be back and I cannot wait to do so!!!

Our host were friendly and fantastic. We stayed in their smallest room and it was perfect since we spent most of our time in the old city. We walked to everything since it's location is right in downtown district. I will make sure to visit again. It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful old Inn.

Warm hospitality great food close to everything we wanted to see

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the everyday stress of life. We were recommended the Old Powder House by a friend of mine. We both loved it and couldn't believe how welcome we felt. I felt as if was staying with family because the owners made us feel so at home. It was a great way to get closer to one another. We stayed in the cozy Garden room and loved how clean and welcoming it was. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was so close to everything too! We could walk everywhere!

Our stay at The Old Powder House Inn in Saint Augustine was delightful. The Inn is beautiful, and the location is perfect. It's right in the historic downtown district, which makes walking the beautiful city easy and convenient. We are already talking about making another trip to The Old Powder House Inn next year.

We just got back from spending our honeymoon here. We stayed in the room Splendid Time and it was wonderful! The room was very comfortable and my husband was surprised that with it being an older house that it had great water pressure and the water was always hot. The ambiance of it all made it so peaceful and relaxing. We so enjoyed the cookies, coffee and cordials every afternoon when we got back from shopping and looking around. It is located in the perfect spot close to everything, but on a nice quiet peaceful street where you can sit on the porch and just relax. We loved the breakfast each day and their cereal blend is to die for! Katie and Kal are great and we looked forward to seeing what amazing entree they had for breakfast. If you are looking for a unique, fun, peaceful and romantic place you found it! We will definitely go back!

We took the smallest economical room but were pleasantly surprised that it was more spacious and comfortable than expected. It was adorably decorated, true to its theme and had all the amenities needed. Very fancy setting for breakfast. Great location to walk anywhere in historic area.

We really enjoyed our weekend in this room. The balcony table and chairs outside our room were reserved just for us and we spent much time sitting outdoors just enjoying the view of the horse and carriages. The room had wonderful windows that let in an abundance of light. And the bed was awesome. Extremely fluffy and very comfortable. We also enjoyed use of the coffee maker and wet bar. And we kept our leftovers in the mini fridge to be eaten as late night snacks. The only drawbacks about this room would be the level of noise coming from the street at night. Lots of walking traffic that sometimes got a little loud. Even at 2:30 in the morning. But even still, we enjoyed this room very much. Breakfast at 8:45 was good for us. I was expecting more of a variety since we were staying for three breakfasts, but every morning we were served cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, OJ, and an egg dish. The fruit changed each day and the muffin flavor changed, but the cereal was the same. As a gourmet cook myself, I was expecting more creative dishes. But granted, it was all very tasty. All in all, we had a wonderful stay. And we would do it again!

A perfect little spot right in the heart of everything but with the feeling of being in the charming south with large homes with great verands to slowly sip a glass of wine and unwind. Loved it all and our hosts Katie and Kal were wonderful and made you feel like family. Loved our room Spendid Time

A very nice B&B with friendly and helpful hostess, very good 8:45am breakfast and efficient accomodations. We stayed in the small private space outside the main house expecting it to be small and quiet and it was quite small and very quiet. The rooms we saw in the main house were larger and nicely appointed. There is a delightful upstairs deck to sit and watch the people go by. Definitely a recommended place to stay.

We chose the "smallest" room with a private terrace for its excellent value. The room was immaculate, effectively furnished, with a new bath, and a private entrance and patio. Our hosts spoiled us with wine, wonderful food and recommendations for dinner. The location is perfect, in the old town, yet quiet.

We wanted to comment on the wonderful breakfast and the great service. The porch was a nice and relaxing place to drink coffee or surf the web. Location is fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the linens soft. Enjoyed our stay.

My Husband and I recently stayed for a long weekend. The innkeepers, Katie and Kal were absolutely the wonderful. Be ready to experience very kind hospitality! We stayed in The Memories room. It was undoubtedly one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Our daily breakfast was fresh and delicious each day. The location of the Inn is convenient to everything and if you need/want to go anywhere Katie and Kal are happy to arrange any tickets or vehicles. This is a wonderful Inn to relax as it is very quite. We would absolutely will be back to visit and hope to see you there are well!

I unfortunately was very sick and basically stayed in the room my entire stay but couldn't have asked for a more comfortable experience. I also recommend The Floridian, directly across the street. Absolutely delicious!

We had a wonderful weekend at the Powder House Inn. The Inn is close to shopping and dining. The room was clean and comfortable and Katie and Kal were very nice and helpful. I felt it was a little pricey but comparable to others in the area. The breakfast was wonderful!

Our host and hostess were friendly and knowledgeble about the area and its attractions. Our room was small but quite nice and quiet at the back of the house. There was on site parking, a real plus in this Old Town area. The breakfasts were wonderful! We'd certainly stay here again on our next visit.

Rooms are just as described. Breakfast was a delicious 5 course meal! Office closed at 6pm so call if you are going to be later they can make accommodations.

This is a charming Inn walking distance from fine dining and shopping. The upstairs porch is the place to be in the evening where you can watch the horse-drawn carriages go by.

We stayed Thursday night before New Year's Eve. My husband was a skeptic of the B&B experience, but after our night at The Old Powder House Inn, he has changed his tune! We will come back for hopefully a longer stay. The room was clean, the food was very good.

We stayed here for our short honeymoon, and found it to be wonderful. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful, and the inn was gorgeous. We may return!

Had a fire alarm in the room beep all night the first night; this was due to low batteries. After it was fixed the next morning, we had no other problems with it. This B&B is in a prime location in downtown St Augustine. You could stay there a full week, eating out every meal, and still not go to the same restaurant -- all within 8 blocks of the property.

We think this is the only place to stay, for quality, convenience, hospitality, perfect spot. Peter & jean Brown

Our hosts were delightful, the room spotless and very comfortable.

Katie was very gracious when we showed up 4 hours early. She took the time to give us maps and direct us around town, giving us lots to do and recomendations for good places to visit and places to eat. Breakfast was wonderful - lots of variety and very different.

The bed was extremely soft and uncomfortable. The bathroom weas very small and only one person could be in it at a time. The shower head was way to high and could not be moved so I could not avoid gettin my hair wet inless I stepped out of the tub and got in at the other end. Also the sink did not drain properly. The inn keepers were nice, but I did not feel overly comfortable with them.

We have only stayed twice at B & B's, so do not have a lot of experience for comparison. However, we did enjoy our stay. We chose the cheapest room, as we were only staying one night. It was a spotless room, but smaller than anticipated. The welcome and orientation by the inn owner was very informative. The breakfast was delicious and presented well in a very cozy dining room.

Katie and her husband who are the owners were very nice. Katie went out of her way to make reservations for us at restaurants and set up carriage rides. The breakfast was outstanding and you will love her cereal wich is her special blend that she makes. Everything was so wonderful. We went during Thanksgiving holiday.

The friendliness and hospitality at this B&B was wonderful. Katie's enthusiasm, warmth, and humor contributed to a memorable vacation. Breakfasts were outstanding.

Service is wonderful. Rooms nicely appointed. Try to avoid the two first floor rooms at front of inn - very noisy. Time to update the televisions and position them for comfortable viewing.

Katie & Kal are very warm and helpful! The breakfasts and afternoon snacks were fantastic -- we would definitely stay there again if we return to St. Augustine.

It was very nice to have a key to the parlor where guests could help themselves to Sherry and cookies. It was convenient to downtown. On the downside, the music from Sarlett O'Hara's kept us awake at night. The Powder House Inn gardens were lovely and the atmosphere serene.

Very charming and quaint place. The room was nice and the food was great. The hosts went out of their way to show hospitality.

The place is right downtown and within walking distance to everything. The hosts are very friendly; they made us feel more like family than guests at B&B. The only negative was we stayed in one of the rooms on the street and we could hear noise from outside pretty late into the night. Recommend you pick a room not directly on the street. Other than that, we had a great experience.

My wife and I have stayed at the old powder house inn on numerous occasions. We have never been disappointed. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Gracious hosts and outstanding location! Everything was only minutes, walking. Loved that we could park our car off the street behind house so we never had to worry about it. Already recommended it to family and friends and will stay again.

Was a very nice place overall. This was our first time at a B&B, and based on this experience, we will be visiting more of them. Room was very nice and the staff was friendly. Shower pressure was not great but it worked.

After 2 recents stays at the Old Powder House, I rate it very highly. The reason we returned was mostly for the location, value and the hospitality. The rooms are a bit small but I think that goes with the territory of old victorian homes. The location is smack dab in the middle of old town within walking distance to most of the attractions in town including our son's dorm at Flagler College:) The breakfasts prepared by Katie and Kal are very tasty. (My only suggestion would be for them to include more fresh fruit, not canned.) All in all, St. Augustine is our favorite little vacation spot thanks to the B&B's such as the Powder House.

My best friend and I took a girls trip and chose to stay at the old powder house because of the great price and great reviews I read. What a great decision! The inn is lovely and relaxing! The staff are sweet as pie, the rooms super comfy, and the complimentary sherry is divine! We were even surprised with a free upgrade! I plan on returning soon with my mother and neice. I may even succeed in talking my husband into a visit! 5 stars and two thumbs up!

Breakfast was a significant disappointment, and nothing like the sumptuous "gourmet" breakfast described and depicted on their website. The inn is very well located (and close to good sites for delicious food). The room was clean and comfortable but dried and plastic foliage detracted from the decor.

Stayed for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was a wondeful experience. This was the first time we stayed at this b and b and it was very nice. We really liked the balcony on the second floor. The innkeepers were very hospitable and made you feel welcome and at home.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn even though the hosts were off on a well deserved vacation. We found the person they hired to take care of the inn very welcoming and she made a delicious breakfast:)

Our stay proved to be even more than expected. Great city, great sightseeing and the Old Powder House Inn was a delightful beginning to the day (with great food) and a quiet and relaxing finish to a long day of sun and sightseeing. We were very pleased in our stay at The Old Powder House. The location is ideal, close to everything but not right on the very noisey and crowded main drag. Our room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was very tasty. The service and hospitality was outstanding. We would definitely come back

The front room was very nice but a bit stuffy. Air conditioner was not working well. In cooler months it's perfect but not in 98 weather. Otherwise a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Weekdays are more reasonable and worth the price. Close to everything is a big plus. The horse and carriage drive right past the house. Nice.

We decided on the spur of the moment to go to St. Augustine. We were lucky to find the Old Powder House Inn. Our stay at the Inn made it a most wonderful weekend. Katie outdid herself with hospitality, breakfast and with her congenial manner! We woul definitely stay there again.

As first time B&Bers The Old Powder House was a perfect match! Joined by our best friends we spent 3 nights at the Inn. We celebrated my sweet husband's 60th birthday during our stay and Miss Katie put a candle in the delicious eggs benedict while our fellow B&Bers sang Happy Birthday! Attention to every detail- thoughtful decor- impeccably clean- these are all signatures of the Inn, yes, however what I take away is a feeling. While exploring the educational city of St. Augustine you feel at home grounded, if you will, by the Inn. The Serenity Room located on the 2nd floor facing Cordova St. is the best the Inn has to offer; in my opinion. Thanks Katie & Kal we look forward to seeing you again if you'll have us!!!

The warmth and hospitality of of Katie and Kal is one reason to keep visiting this wonderful inn, year after year. We loved staying in the second floor in the Miranda room during our recent visit. Staying here is like visiting dear friends. The attention to detail is everywhere; from the Victorian decor to the amazing breakfasts. Our favorite dish: the cream filled french toast. Simply stated: if you haven't stayed at this inn, what are you waiting for? I's the finest B&B in St. Augustine.

My husband and I stayed at the Old Powered House for 4 day/3 nights for our honeymoon and it could not have been any better. The Inn is exquisite and its history and beauty are not nearly as evident on the website as they are in person. Katie and Kal should be voted #1 Innkeeper in St. Augustine as they are extremely hospitably, gracious and their welcoming manner will just draw you in. We will NEVER forget our honeymoon stay and will be going back each year to celebrate our anniversary at their INN.

I just have to say I was very happy with our stay at the Old Powder House Inn. Katie and Kal were both very friendly, and very good with our granddaughter who stayed with us. The location is so close to Old City St Augustine, you can walk anywhere you want to go. The room was beautiful and well cared for. The rest of the house as well was very beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. We will definitely get back there asap.

My previous experience with B&B's has all been in Vermont, which were all wonderful. I and two friends booked this Inn based upon reviewing information online. We planned a fun trip to St. Augustine and wanted to treat ourselves. The Inn is perfectly located in the Historic District for site seeing. The inn advertised gracious hospitality, which we found nonexistant. I was told we could park onsite and leave the car at the inn, even though we had not checked in yet. Upon arrival, at 3pm, we parked and rang the bell to let the innkeepers know our car was in the back. The reception we received from Katie was "You're early, I'm not ready for you yet." What a first impression. We did not meet Kal until the next morning at breakfast. He has a delightful way about him. Unfortunately, our contact with him was limited. Another writer had stated they received assistance with their luggage. We struggled up the narrow, difficult staircase by ourselves. We stayed in the Garden Room. The Inn's website portrayed this as great accommodations for a girl's getaway. I and another friend slept on the window seat beds on the porch. These beds were physically uncomfortable, along with the rest of the Inn. The porch beds consisted of a twin mattress on top of plywood. The Victorian surroundings are not conducive to relaxation. We had three wrought iron chairs in the room. It was so bad when we went out to dine I refused to sit at the wrought iron chair at the restaurant. During the three day stay we did not experience the hospitality/service as advertised and expected. We felt like we were an intrusion on Katie's life. Kal and Katie have been running the Inn for ten years. Maybe she is burnt out. I could go on further, but I just wanted readers to be aware. For the room charge you can do much better somewhere else.

Saint Augustine is a great walking city, and The Old Powder House could not be more perfectly postitioned! From the warm welcome of Katie to fresh cookies and hot tea, arrival and recommendations were just wonderful. A well-appointed room, great linens and worlds of sunshine highlight the spirit. It was a bit too cool to enjoy the porch and gardens, but we know they had much to offer. Thumbs Up and perfect location!

We love the Old Powder House!! We've stayed there several times & love it. The breakfasts are delicious and the rooms comfortable and clean. The best part is the innkeepers, Katie & Kal. The go out of their way to make your stay the best. We always feel like we are visiting family when we stay there. Excellent bed and breakfast!!

This was our first B&B stay and we couldn't have picked a better one! Katie was a charming hostess and made us feel right at home. Driving from North Carolina to Miami for business we stopped overnight at this lovely romantic B&Bin St Augustine. Gracious hosts and charming accomodations. Absolutely delightful.

I cannot say enough about our recent visit to the Old Powder House Inn. The service was just wonderful. The home is immaculate, the Hosts are kind and thoughtful, and the food wonderful! There is nothing amiss here!

My wife and I are abusers of Bed and Breakfasts! Sneaking away from our daily lives every chance we get. We would selectively stalk our prey, sneaking in and out at our pleasure. Moving from B &B to B & B Performing drive by’s to seek our delight. We were good at what we did, so we never got caught. Always moving on to the next unsuspecting victim. Until the day we were caught! That day started out just like all the other hits we had performed. Then we came across The Old Powder House Inn. We were no match for the inn keepers there (Kal & Katie) as they call themselves. By the time we had finished checking in our hearts had been arrested by those two notorious sidewinders. Their sweet disposition grabs hold of you. Then you move in to the choice rooms, taken back in time to a place where charm visited every home. This old house with its seductive charm and marvelous staff has ended our search for the perfect Bed & Breakfast. We have been prisoners of paradise since that fateful day! We have tried no less than ten B & B’s in St. Augustine and having tried rest we have ended our search with the Best! We Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast to you!!!!!!!!
