Very nice place to stay. Bed was very comfortable. Would have liked to have had a choice for breakfast. Within walking distance of St. George St. in St. Augustine. Just park your car and have a good time!

My wife and I really enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Serenity room. Really liked having direct access to the veranda from our room. Also liked all of the light from the many windows surrounding the room.

The location and setting of the Inn are absolutely perfect. Everything is in walking distance. The Inn keepers were very hospitable and friendly, adding to the warm feeling of the Inn. The rooms were very comfortable and tidy. We had several great meals at local restaurants, however the breakfasts at the Inn were our favorites. Cannot recommend this place enough....an overall outstanding experience!!

This was the first Inn we have visited and it was a wonderful experience. The room, cleanliness and the friendly welcome were all first rate. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Old Powder Inn is definitely one of the best places to stay in St. Augustine. Katie and Kal make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are extremely clean and the breakfast are exceptional. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here!

My wife I had had not be on a vacation for some time and it was well over due. This was our first time here and we will be coming back. It was very clean and relaxing, breakfest was good like all the comments I had read on the reviews. We only stayed for 2 days but wish we would have had time to stay longer. We didn't get a whole lot of time to explore due to it raining for most of the time we where there but that was ok. We stayed in the Memories Room and I'll have to say that it had plenty of room, hot tub was nice, private and the mattress was very comfortable, enough so that my wife wanted buy a new one as soon as we got back home... We got a new one..LOL..

This is a delightful inn, and the hosts are superb.

My wife and I wanted a staycation for our first anniversary so we decided to stay at a bed and breakfast nearby. We loved the location since it was pretty much within walking distance to everything Old Town St. Augustine. The staff upgraded us to a larger room gratis which was unexpected, but appreciated. The breakfast was definitely something to write home about. We loved the birds in the nest. We would definitely come again.

This B&B was the perfect place! The location to dining and shops in St Augustine was perfect! The amazing couple that was taking care of us took extra steps to ensure that everyone in my group was satisfied. That included them making a different breakfast just for one person because of dietary preferences. The rooms were themed and adorable and while there was no Internet or TV in my room it provided me the opportunity to relax more! I plan to stay again the next time I go to St Augustine and would recommend it to those looking for a B&B.

We had a great weekend at the Old Powder House. From our second-floor room, we watched the Celtic parade after a great breakfast. My daughter and I loved the Victorian feel of our stay at this cozy bed and breakfast.

We stayed for two nights. Our room was upgraded from what we had initially planned with no increase in price. Breakfast was excellent. All major area attractions that we wanted to see were within easy walking distance.

The location is great. The rooms are always very clean. The bathrooms are a little bit small but very clean and useable. Breakfast setting is wonderful and the food is very good. Hopitality is awsome.

We were running late and unable to arrive before the 6:00 pm check-in time so our room key and directions to the room were left in an envelope at the parlor door. Our room (The Splendid Time) was very cozy and well decorated with different styles of clocks. The bathroom was of a good size and the shower felt great. The entire inn was spotlessly clean which is very important to us while traveling. After a good nights sleep, we were treated to a wonderful breakfast at 8:45 am in the dining room set up with tables for two or more depending on your party size. Although we weren't sitting with other guests, the tables were placed so we were able to met and talk with others comfortable. Katie and Kal are very pleasant inn keepers. Sherry in the parlor for a nightcap, a screened in front porch area, and onsite parking behingd the inn are all nice additions to a very nice bed and breakfast experience .A note on parking - we were traveling in my husband's full size pickup truck and the parking area is a bit small. There is public parking less than a block away which you may want to consider using if parking close together is not your thing. Katie "scolded" us for not planning a longer stay in the beautiful historic city of Saint Augustine. She also collects hugs as you say your goodbyes! I love hugs! We will recommand this inn to anyone traveling to the area. Thanks for a wonderful (but to short) stay!

We were warmly welcomed. The added little touches done by our hosts made us feel at home. They were always willings to help with our plans.

We stayed one night at this B&B and were pleased with the cleanliness of our room and the friendliness of the owners. Only complaint was a rather "perfume like smell everywhere".The breakfast was delicious and the owner very helpful.

Wish I could give more stars for service and dining!! We were there on Valentine's Day and Katie made it extra special. 'nough said. Kal had KP duty the next morning and breakfast was excellent. Other guests there were repeat visitors and we will be too.

Our stay was so much fun. Within easy walking distance to old St. Augustine and wonderful restaurants and shops. The innkeepers were very gracious and the breakfasts were to die for!! We met a delightful couple we plan on keeping in touch with which just enhanced our visit.

We found Katie and Kal to be informative and enthusiastic hosts. Very attentive and genuinely seemed concerned with making sure our stay would be memorable. We stayed in the Memories suite and can't wait to come back!

This was our second and absolutely NOT the last visit to the Old Powder House. Every time we go the, the whole experience is wonderful.

My husband does not like B&B's so talking him into this one was a bit difficult but he is so happy that I did. When first arriving you are immediately made to feel comfortable and that continues until you say goodbye. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other rooms.....and breakfasts.

Had a chance to spend a couple days in St. Augustine in Jan 2013. Found this B&B online and made a reservation. Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. Historical house close to everything in St. Augustine. Would strongly recommend the "Old Powder House Inn" for those looking for a stress free getaway. Oh, and the breakfast was top drawer.

This was a planned celebration for my wife's sister on her birthday. Being a milestone birthday (we won't mention which one!), it had to be special. When selecting a place to stay in St. Augustine, we looked at motels and decided that we wanted a bed and breakfast for the occasion. After review we made our decision and reservations. Upon arriving we were met by Katie in the parking area, who helped us park our truck. Next we went in to check in and that was where we really saw the difference! Everything about the place was explained in great detail and we knew that there wasn't much these guys wouldn't do to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. We were given the grand tour of the facilities and shown to our room. This was one of the best features; each room has a theme and charm all its own! Our room was the Grace Darling room. Of course we had to research it and learned the story of this brave young lady. As for location, you don't get much closer to everything you come to St. Augustine to see. Everything is within walking distance. Then you wake up and go to the dining room and Katie and Kal treat you to a home cooked breakfast that was more than I expected. Felt like I was visiting family! And of course, when you check out, you don't leave until Katie gives you a big hug! We will definitely be back!

Katie and Kal are wonderful hosts, a location that makes discovering the old city on foot a breeze, good food, comfortable rooms (although the plug in air freshener in the room was a little strong... easily fixed) and this stay we discovered the bakery hidden across the street. Cheeses, fresh baggette, coffees, fresh made sandwiches, sweets... yummmm! Thanks again for a great stay.

From the beginning we were treated royally. The hostess was exceedingly helpful even helping my sister in law with getting treats for us. Also helping us the place to eat for my wife's special birthday.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B for our first inn experience. The inn keepers were pleasant, breakfast was delightful, and our room was very comfortable and very clean. The inn is situated in a GREAT location. We didn't use our car for the entire 3 1/2 days we were there. The surroundings were quiet with a miriad of restaraunts and shops within walking distance. The inn keeper made reservations for us for dinner and a carriage ride. It was nice to be able to walk around and then go back to the room for an hour and rest if wanted. Made for a relaxed and pleasant trip. We can hardly wait to find time to go back!

The Old Powder House Inn was an exceptional experience. This was our first time in a Bed & Breakfast, and we could not have chosen a nicer place. Katie is an extremely warm person and made us feel as if The Old Powder House Inn was our own home. We truly recommend this for a wonderful vacation.

We have stayed at the Powder House three times, always over the holiday break. We love the area and enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. Katie and Cal are wonderful hosts. The location is fantastic, with everything being within a couple minutes walking distance. The onsite parking is very nice feature as well. We highly recommend this location.

Overall clean and comfortable. Breakfast fantastic. Locaton great. My only concern was the bathroom in our unit. A shower curtain on an old piped rail should be replaced with a sliding glass door to allow the patron more room as the bathroom being from the 1800s is small enough.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for our wedding on New Years Eve 2012!! Katie and Kal was the greatest they helped with all our needs and made sure we had everything we needed for our special day!! Our stay was great!! We will be back for our One year anniversary !!

This was what we were expecting, after doing internet research. Don't expect it to be hotel-like. It was noisy at night, being on the "Holly Jolly Trolley" tour at Christmas, but that was to be expected. It's on the horse carriage route, too, and we enjoyed seeing the various decorated carriages and watching the horses from the second floor balcony. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. (We were in the Serenity Room, the only room with a frig and wet bar area.) The owners were very nice and gladly accommodated our gluten-free dietary restrictions at breakfast. This B&B is also within easy walking of St. George Street and all of the old downtown area.

This was not only our first visit to St. Augustine, but also our first experience with a B&B....and we can't wait to get back down there and do it all again! The Old Powder House is in a PERFECT location, right in the middle of historical downtown's restaurants, shops, etc. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't move it until we had to leave to head home. Seriously, GREAT location. We were met at the door by Katie, who was wonderfully welcoming. She was a tremendous source of information for places to go and eat and things to see, which was very valuable considering it was our first time. Breakfast was not only yummy, but Katie was eager to meet my necessary food needs and offered delicious alternatives. Lastly, the room....it was above and beyond what we expected. We had our own private entrance, and loved coming back to the cozy fireplace. Can't WAIT to go back!!!

Katie and Kal are outstanding Innkeepers! They went out of their way to insure our stay was pleasant. The room was delightful and packed full of interesting objects. Bed was heavenly! We recently stayed at The Old Powder House B&B and it was magical and wonderful. Katie and Kal made us feel so at home in their magnificent home. Everything was as expected. We loved it. The lady that welcomed us gave us a run down of all restaurants and to-do in St. Augustine. Their location is amazing. We parked the car on Friday and didnt move it for 3 days. The only draw back was the breakfast which is at 8:45am or you miss it. Either you are there or you loose it. Other than that, great! Worth every penny.

Another fantastic stay (over 8 now). Food is always marvelous, Inn is clean, neat and the rooms are decorated tastefully and the beds are always comfortable. Stayed in Memories room this time. Hot tub was very nice and the king bed was a delight.

Katie & Kal are the warmest, most genuine & helpful hosts. The Old Powder House is more than a beautiful place to stay, it truly feels like a home away from home. We have stayed at B&Bs in St. Augustine before, but our stay at the OPH was by far our best experience - we can't wait to return!

My husband and I were looking for a nice quite spot to spend a few days. This was just what we wanted. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff was super friendly.

We had opted for the Queen Anne Lace Room which corresponded more or less to the photo on the Internet. The room was charmingly decorated but far too small - hardly any surfaces to put small items. As to be expected in a building of that type the bathroom was also way too small. The air-conditioning unit was set at 73 with the fan permanently on which was too low for us. There was no way this could be adjusted. Another reason we would not choose this room again is the fact that it is located right by the large guest terrace and with people assembling there until midnight, there is not much chance of getting any sleep. We would certainly use the Old Powderhouse B&B again but likely choose a larger room (provided there is one).

This was our first experience in a B&B and we totally enjoyed it ! The entire experience was a delight ! The breakfast was special and we shall return to the The Old Powder House Inn next trip to St. Augustine.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The owners were very sweet and helpful as well. Breakfast was always delicious. It would have been nice to have a sizable tv for the days when it rained. Another thing we would have liked to use were bath robes. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to our friends and family.

The hospitality of Katie and Kal at the Old Powder House is extraordianry! Exeriencing historic St. Augustine--being in the center of things--and returning to the comfort and delight of the Garden Room...there's nothing quite like it! Wonderful food, beautiful decor, and a delightful atmosphere...

We stayed at the Miranda Room. We had an interestig time reviewing the historical facts about the Miranda family. We are from Cuba and that made it so much more interesting.

The location of this inn was perfect for going about on foot. Being an old house & the location of our room, about 20 feet from the road, it was a little noisier than we would have liked. Breakfast was at 8:45. The food was very good but we are used to eating a little earlier. I'm sure the night owl guests were pleased with the time though.

I traveled to St. Augustine for my birthday weekend, and I stayed at the Old Powder House Inn. The Garden room was wonderful. So beautiful and cozy! The breakfasts were amazing! Eggs benedict on Saturday and a special egg souffle on Sunday! My son and his friend stayed at another location, but Katie invited them to join us for Sunday breakfast. Then she asked everyone to sing to me for my birthday! I was so touched at her thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you for making me feel so pampered on my birthday! I will be back for the festival of lights in December. Pattie

What a wonderful setting and locaion for a B & B. The location was absolutely perfect....everything within walking distance. Our room over looked historic Cordova Street where we had the opportunity to watch the horse drawn carriages go by and listen to the wonderful stories of old St. Augustine. Staying at the Old Powder House Inn made staying in one of my favorite cities even more enjoyable. The inn is within walking distance of the entire historic area which includes dining, shopping and attractions. The room was extremely clean and felt both luxurious and like being at home. Breakfast was delicious and filling including fruit, homemade muffins and a unique main item each morning. It felt private but was also fun to share in others adventures when seated for breakfast. This was my first visit to a b&b and it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this inn.

A very charming and well kept inn with delicious homemade breakfasts and personable hosts. My room was nicely decorated, had a very comfortable bed and was exceptionally clean. This B&B is nicely located. We were able to park our car and not touch it for two days! All points of interest were within easy walking distance. The room was nicely appointed, clean, and airy. Breakfast was well done, but I would have liked more flexibility with the time. 8:45am was the stated time, but one morning we thought we were early, but service had already begun. Overall, a nice place and I would stay there again.

Rooms were clean and was located in the heart of the historic district. No need to drive anywhere. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We were there in the middle of summer and the outdoor porches could have used some ceiling fans. Breakfast was very good but only offered 1 entree each day and a specific dinning time of 8:45 AM.

We love the OPH. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. We love the beautiful turn-of-the-century architecture, the detailed decorations, the luxurious amenities, the delicious breakfasts, the perfect location in Historic St. Augustine, the cordial and welcoming personalities of Katie and Kal. Its an exceptional package. Could not ask for more. We'll will most definitely return. Hmmm, how about next week?

Our stay at the Old Powderhouse Inn was superb! Katie and Kal are inkeepers extraordinare. They take the time to get to know all their guests and make the entire stay so personal you leave feeling like it was home. The accommodations were "squeeky clean" - Andrea does a great job. The breakfasts were so good, and so filling. You are never rushed to leave the dining room - we lingered over coffee and conversation at least for an hour each morning. We will be going back as often as we find ourselves in the area, and prbably schedule a getaway trip or more to just relax at this very enjoyable B&B. Joe & Ellen Smith

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the location of the inn central to all I wanted to do in St. Augustine. The breakfast was particularly delicious and abundant. The only drawback was my inability to access wifi from my room. I had to go to the parlor or the porch which was mildly inconvenient.

This was my wife's and my 1st B&B stay - and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The food and service were excellent. Katie was very welcoming and helpful. The Splendid Time room was clean, comfortable and met our needs almost perfectly (I like to watch the weather channel in the evening, but the TV was a bit too small). We loved having all those windows and the bed was the perfect size for us. And having our own entrance from the porch was a huge plus. We most definitely want to go back, and would certainly recommend the OPH Inn to everyone!

We came right after Tropical Storm Beryl hit. So the weather wasn't all that great however there is always something to do in St. Augustine. Our room was good. Because this is an older home I'm not used to taking things up a very narrow staircase. The bed was not comfortable and because of that we left a day before we were to leave. However, the breakfast was great and the charm of the place is always nice.

This was our first stay at a B&B, not knowing what to expect, anxiety was thick, but we were welcomed by Kate and immediately felt like we were old friends. Actually taken and shown our room! Left no questions needed to be asked! We were unpacked and ready for our weekend. The B&B is just steps away from everything in the Historic part of town! Kate even arranged a carriage to pick us up at the B&B (a surprise for my wife). The room was full of wonderful history, the bed plush, no need to ask for anything extra everything was already thought of. The second floor porch with ice cold lemonaide swinging on the swing, watching all the tourists go by.. as they looked up at us, you know they were thinking like we have in the past "why did we not stay here!". The breakfast is world class gourmet and the snack left for you during the day are scrumptious! Do not forget after a long day out and about, a cordial of sherry, off to bed to awaken to another relaxed day!

Quaint Old Victorian perfectly located in beautiful St Augustine. Parking was tight so don't bring your gas guzzler. Katie was the perfect host and because of her we will return again and again. Breakfast was superb and it was plain to see, all of the quests were very satisfied. It was the perfect intimate local for our small wedding... Thanks for all your special touches!! I stayed in the Hideaway. Loved the private entrance and how it was set off from the rest of the house, even if it was a bit small. Food was delicious and Cal and Katie were very helpful! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful accomadations for a trip to St. Augustine. Great location close to almost everything. Enjoyed sitting on veranda drinking wine and watching the carriages and people. Kate was very knowledgeable of places to eat and things to see.

I had stayed here last year with my sister-in-law and found it delightful. So my husband and I decided to come back for a couple of days. The Inn is in the heart of St. Augustine and an easy walk to everything - museums, restaurants, the fort, etc.

I'm not really a B&B guy (I tend to be hardwired to stay at places with the words "Holiday" and "Inn" somehwere on the door) but my girlfriend suggested we try this and boy was I glad. Everything was just perfect. Kal and Katie were wonderful hosts, very freindly and welcoming. They provided great advice as to where to visit in St. Augustine and generally made us feel at ease. The room we statyed at (Splendid Time) was great as well. Right at the frint fo the house so we could hear the sounds of the horse carreiges, it was clean and comfortable, with a nice in-suite bathroom and a very nice queen sized bed. Breakfast was a little earlier than we normally got up for but it was worth it. Fresh baked muffins, cereal and fruit, and a very filling main course (we were served an nice egg and salsa patry and a egg casserole during our stay and Katie and Kal made sure to ask if we had dietary requirements) that kept us fueled for a full morning of sight seeing. The best part fo the Old Powder House is the location: central to everything, I didn't have to drive once I got there. This is a great place to stay and we can't wait to return.

St. Augustine is a wonderful city to visit and staying at The Opld Powder House makes our visits more so. The owners Cal and Katie are outstanding. They make you feel part of their extended family. The rooms are comfortable and clean as a pin, with great styling. Being just one block off the main street, the location is perfect. We left our car parked during our stay and visited the Town on foot. By the way, breakfast is outstanding, with fresh, locally grown ingredients. Katie prepares most of the meals, but Cal does step in occasionally with his speciaities.

Our second visit to The Old Powder House was as enjoyable as our first. Katie and Kal are very welcoming hosts and provide a quite pleasant ambiance. The breakfasts are second to none, and the rooms are pleasant and comfortable. The location is perfect for enjoying historic St. Augustine; convenient to the entire historic district. This second stay will not be our last. We highly recommend it to all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the breakfasts which were great. Close to everything...no need to move the car. Like a miracle, our room was cleaned and spruced up while we were at breakfast. Someone must have cruise ship training! Katie and Kal are super hosts. Will definitelly return.

Quiet, Great Location, Comfortable, Affordable, and the Porch Swing was Awesome!

I was in a group of three adults staying in the Garden Room. It was the perfect set-up for us; the "window seat" daybeds in the sunroom were very comfortable for sleeping. We hated to leave the Old Powder House Inn--the location couldn't possibly be more ideal, the courtyard, veranda, and general ambiance were lovely, and breakfast is sensational. Katy and Kal are wonderful, warm, helpful hosts. I would reccommend this lovely inn to anyone!

This was our first trip to St. Augustine and what a treat. We love staying in B & B's so I did a little internet research and found "The Old Powder House Inn". We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location was within walking distance to everything, and the owners were friendly and very informative on restaurants, etc. We stayed in the Serenity room on the 2nd floor which included a private balcony area. We enjoyed some wine while watching the horse pulled carriages go by. I must mention how great the breakfast is. When we visit St. Augustine we will stay here again.

The Inn-owners were great, very friendly and took the time to sit down with us upon arrival and explain about the inn and St. Augustine (which not all places do). Room was lovely and the bed.. oh my goodness.. was THE most comfortable bed ever!! We slept the best we have in forever! Whatever air freshener they put in the rooms (baby powdery scent) was a tad bit too strong and Grandmother-ish smelling.. but other than that, the room was great. Also, the second floor balcony was just wonderful. We sat and drank coffee and tea, played checkers on the large table, and just watched walkers-by from the swinging chair. As for the breakfast, it was pretty standard. Most people would probably be satisfied enough from it, but we are admittedly quite the foodies (and health-conscious) and found it to be very starch-based, standard American diet and plain. Cereal, fruit, muffin, french toast, and pre-made frozen or refrigerated sausage. We would have preferred more proteins (eggs, meat, cheese?) for our meals, and perhaps more of a culinary, homemade touch rather than prepared cereals and such.. but, that said, the hosts were very hospitable and kind, and the setup was lovely. We will definitely stay here again for a great nights sleep and great atmosphere, but will probably skip the breakfast. :)

My husband & I stayed at the Old Powder House Inn on March 27 for 2 nights. We booked the Enchanted Hideaway. Although it is small, it is great value for the money, especially when you are only going to be in the room to sleep! The decor is very appropriate, it really does have a cottage feel to it & there is no TV, but who needs it? As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom is tiny, but spotless. It has a corner shower (no tub) so I would not recommend it for those with mobility issues or large people. We enjoyed having our own entrance at the rear, but the lock needs attention as it sticks & the air conditioner should be sealed better. The best thing about this place, besides the location and the hosts who are both friendly & outgoing, is the breakfast! It includes fresh fruit, their own special cereal, OJ, coffee, home-made muffins straight from the oven & an entree. We had Kal's speciality, spanish eggs, the first day & eggs benedict the second day. On check in we were asked about dietary requirements & I noted that my eggs need to be well-done & was impressed that my poached ones actually were. When in St. Augustine be sure to visit the Pirate Museum - you won't regret it!

We stayed two nights at the Old Powder House Inn. The Inn was right in the middle of historic St. Augustine so walking was easy! Our innkeepers were most hospitable, the room was beautiful and clean. There were great porches to sit on both downstairs and up and breakfast was delicious, complete with mimosas on Sunday morning! I'd highly recommend this inn to anyone wanting a convenient place to stay in this wonderful town!

We had a great time in St Augustine, what an awesome city! But, we were on a getaway from our busy lives and our children. When I am spending the kind of money I am at a B&B, I feel I should not be told I have to be at breakfast at 8:45am, no exceptions. We thought we would be able to sleep in at a B&B until at the earliest 10am breakfast. But, the food was good. I guess my wife and I are going to need to open a bed and brunch for those of us that are on a retreat to get some much needed rest!

This was our first experience staying in a B&B, we'd always stay at a hotel outside of St. Augustine because typically B&B's are expensive. So we thought we'd give it a try and we we're pleasently surprised with The Powderhouse Inn. The room we stayed in was the Serenity Hideaway which was the smallest room, however my husband and I are used to traveling in Europe where most rooms are small so it didn't bother us a bit. I think it's the best room because it's very quiet being that it sits in the back of the house and it's away from the noisey streets in which the other rooms face. It's evident that the Innkeepers take great pride in keeping the rooms very clean and they are decorated so lovely. Their's a skylight in the ceiling of this particular room so I recommend you bring a eye mask to cover your eyes ,especially if you like it dark in the morning. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend this particular room to couples and singles. Breakfast was good but it's not a lot of food and it's served only at 8:45 a.m. so if you're not a morning person, I recommend you consider this when booking a B&B because it's part of the experience. St. Augustine is a charming and a beautiful town, we particularly enjoyed the mornings when no one is around and it's quiet. Overall, we had a great time and we highly recommend The Powder House Inn!

It was elegant and charming, the hosts are very gracious and go all out to please their guests. The breakfast is scrumptious in a wonderful atmosphere.

We loved St. Augustine and this place made the stay so enjoyable. The house is beautiful and the room was very clean. The best part is that it's within walking distance of everything! We parked when we arrived & never got back in our car till we left. And there's great night life right across the street!

Excellent location in walking distance of all of the Historic District and attractions as well as many restaurants. On site parking is appreciated as parking is scarce. Innkeeerers are very knowledgeable and helpful. Note that fr ont rooms face east with many windows are likely to be hot in summer; view from these rooms was disappointing.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at The Old Powder House Inn! We wanted a place to stay in the midst of old downtown St. Augustine. Our room, Serenity, was perfect for us. We loved having access to the veranda and enjoyed our happy hour soaking up the ambiance in the heart of town; watching the people come and go at a nearby restaurant and watching the people in their horse drawn carriages. Breakfast was fantasic, the best breakfast I have ever had! Their homemade cereal was delicious along with the french toast, muffins & Mimosa's!! One of the best parts of our stay was that we were able to park our car and walk every where we wanted to go. We did not get in the car once during our entire stay at the Inn. My husband said it was the best Birthday weekend he has ever had!!

I would definitely recommend the Old Powder House to anyone looking for a B&B in St. Augustine. Katy and Kal (the Innkeepers) were very warm and friendly. They did everything possible to make sure our stay was enjoyable and memorable. The only negative was that although the Grace Darling room where we stayed was very nice, it was smaller and less luxurious than I expected. We paid what I consider a premium price for the was is (presumably) the best room in the inn, but it did not seem "premium". Perhaps the other rooms were a better value.

Wanted to get away for a relaxing weekend in St. Augustine, with no real agenda. Without the kids, decided to try a bed & breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were relaxed & pleased with the quaintness of the room & the exceptional customer service & attention to our needs. Loved the ability to park on Friday in the back and not touch the car till Sunday. We were able to walk everywhere! Thanks for a memorable visit, we will be back! (Couple aged 25-35, Orlando, FL)

Very nice Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine. We were only there for one night,but wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was fantastically comfortable!! The service was exceptional. The only thing I didn't love about it was that our room was on the bottom floor by the landing and we could hear people out on the porch and coming and going early in the morning.

I love everything about the Old Powder House Inn except for two important things. The first one is that I stayed in the Queen Anne's Lace room in which the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by only a flimsy louvered door. Though visually separated, the sounds and smells of the bathroom were literally a part of the bedroom. My wife and I actually had to leave the room in order to give the other some privacy, but the smells remained due to poor ventilation. Also, Cordova street is very loud, so sleeping was not uninterrupted. I hate to write this because the house and hosts are phenomenal! Simply the best people, ever. Perhaps other rooms have better separation of facilities, but I only know my own experience.

We loved our room! We stayed in the Grace Darling Room, it has a private entrance near the parking area. The room is laid out perfectly, the fireplace helps for the cold nights and adds to the romance of this room. This room is perfect for anyone who wants to reconnect with their significant other. No TV, the jacuzzi tub is located in the bedroom area, there is a separate bathroom that contains a shower. Our couple days there were very rainy, so we spent a lot of time in our room. Every morning Katy & Kal make a fresh healthy breakfast, our first morning we were served French toast stuffed with cream cheese, pineapple & apricot (I think). Our stay was very memorable, we will definitely return! :)

Great place to stay and close to Old City and restaurants. The room we stayed at was called "Enchanted Hideaway". This room is in the back of the house . This room is perfect if you don't like the noise coming out from across the street, "the Tasting Room to go" has a live band on Thursday night and it can get a little loud. It also blocks the traffic noise. On the "con" side; this room is very small, the bathroom and especially the shower are not designed for a "full figure" person, lucky for me I'm a small guy and so is my wife. The breakfast creations are great, overall service; great!

The Old Powder House Inn was wonderful. The Miranda room was very nice. The two breakfasts (one made by Kal and one made by Katie) were delicious! The inn is conveniently located to all areas of downtown and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit St. Augustine!

We had a pretty pleasant stay at this Inn (Miranda Room). The room was clean and neat, the property was very nice as well. The best parts are the breakfast (it was delicious) and the location (you are in the heart of the old town)! Overall, however, i think the stay was a little pricey for what you get-we stayed on the night from Sat to Sun and paid $214 (taxes included) just to sleep in the room and wake up to a pretty good breakfast; the rest of the time0 we spent walking around and enjoying the town.

My husband and I spent one night at The Old Powder House Inn. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a Bed and Breakfast in St. Augustine. We were told we had the smallest room there. It was beautiful, cozy, very clean and we would definately choose that room again. The atmosphere was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious. The lemonade and cookies were scrumptious. You could never find nicer, friendlier Innkeepers anywhere. If we ever get a night away from our children again, we will definately pack our bag, leave Ga. and head to St. Augustine to the Old Powder House Inn.

We didn't have to use our car once the entire weekend, everything was within walking distance. The room was cozy and comfortable. Katie and Kal were very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I were is Saint Augustine for our first visit to the historical city. The Old Powder House Inn was in the central location with the historical districts within walking distance. Resturants were easy to find and the Inn was exactly what we required. Katie & Kal were most helpful and hospitable. Saint Augustine was our first stop for a couple of days than we went to St Simons for the remainder of our trip. Great place!

My husband and I have made day trips to St Augustine 2-3 times a year for many years, but this is the first time we stayed overnight. This beautiful Bed and Breakfast is just wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by Katie and spent a beautiful weekend that was just made even better by the Kalietas hospitality. We stayed in the Serenity Room, on the second floor surrounded by leafy trees. We even had a small table and chairs reserved just for us on the porch so we could "people watch". Yes, we will stay there again. The Old Powder House in is just a half block or so from great restaurants and the old city. We were able to park our car on Friday evening when we arrived, and didnt have to touch it until it was time to leave. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to avoid that touristy feeling. We plan on returning at least once a year. And, to top off a great place, breakfasts were delicious!

My girlfriends and I stayed in the Garden Room this past weekend while visiting for the St. Augustine Pirate Gathering. We were thrilled to be Katie and Kal's first pirate guests! The Garden Room was incredibly accomodating for three young women and many piratical accessories. The breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday was delicious (the ambrosia Sunday morning - YUM!) and Katie and Kal always made sure we had everything we could have needed for a perfect Girls Getaway!

We stayed in the Enchanted Hideaway, and while the room is small, its location is great--very private and very quiet. Katie and Kal are great hosts.

This inn was perfectly situated close to Flagler College and the old city. We could walk everywhere. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Inn to anyone wanting to get the feel and flavor of beautiful St. Augustine.

Katie could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The Inn was quaint and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good but my husband is a big breakfast person and would have liked a little more for breakfast, for me it was perfect. Would definitely go visit again!!

We enjoyed our stay very much and will probably be returning some time in the near future. The room was lovely the food was excellent but the best part was the hospitality of the Kalieta's. We also enjoyed the conversation at breakfast with the other guests.

This was a fantastic B&B. We have stayed in 4 different ones in St. Augustine and this is by far the best. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful, the staff keeps the place spotless and the location so close to the old, downtown amenities means you park your car when you get there and shouldn't need to drive it again until it's time to leave. The price, location and fabulous food make this a must stay for anyone visiting St Augustine or (like us) has a child in school at Flagler College. It's only a block away!

Unfortunately, ours was a 1-night stay because we were en route to another destination. I would love to have stayed much longer. The room was just beautiful...comfortable...a real treat. Our hosts were engaging, warm and welcoming. The food was excellent! We will definitely go back and stay longer another time. Wonderful place!

We did a St Augustine/Savannah/Charleston trip. We enjoyed our stay at the Old Powder Inn so much that on our way back, we stayed another night. Katie is wonderful and has a great place!!!

We had a lovely one night, mid-week getaway! Inn is in a great location. Room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable, which is saying a lot since I was 9 months pregnant! Breakfast was delicious and Katie & Kal were very hospitable hosts.

We stayed for the 4th of July. Room was clean and ready when we checked in. We missed breakfast because the alarm did not go off on our phone for unknown reasons...I had looked forward to the breakfast too. We only stayed one night. Check out was very easy-just turn in the key. Only complaint is parking area is very small. We were afraid the car might be hit, but luckily that didn't occur!

Barely blocks from most landmarks in the city we were blown away by the service, the room, the breakfast and the balcony. Better than any chain hotel experience I have had in years. We will be returning.

enjoyed our stay and it was very convenient to all the places you want to be in st. augustine. 5 min walk got you to the main scene there. our room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable for the night. our room was right on the street, and was very quiet during the night. the only reason i gave the dining a below average rating was because of the time they do breakfast. it is at 8:45am and as i found out too late it was the only sitting, and we were not up in time to enjoy it. that time of morning is a bit early for us. i wish instead of one seating they would have a time period that guests could come in for breakfast.

Katie & Kal & staff were excellent. They truly made our special occasion memorable. My wife was in tears upon arrival as she is from another time & place where Victorian rules. They had that "I can arrange that, attitude." The breakfast was excellent and the accomodations were truly Victorian. We will be back and tell our friends & family.Our only negative was the horse and carriage ride on our anniversary night.That had nothing to do with Katie & Kal.The horse had new shoes and a new bit and was unruly. Our drinks were spilled all over us and we had to throw them out because of being jostled back & forth.The girl was nice and informative, but our ride was shortened because of the horse behavior.That horse shouldn't have been sent out on a "peaceful" carriage ride. Overall, St Augustine was beautiful and we will be back.

This was our first visit to the Old Powder House Inn, but I'll be surprised if it's our last. We had the smallest room and absolutely loved it. If you visit St. Augustine so that you can tour the city, this is a perfect place to stay - easy walking distance to almost everything!

Great location just two blocks from St. George Street, one can easily walk everywhere. Discounts for older guests and military (includes retirees) add value. Breakfast offerings change daily, are delightful, and somewhat on the "too much" end of the food scale - makes it harder to enjoy all the great opportunities in St. Augustine (but what the heck, you're on vacation). We will definitely return. Saw many other places not as well positioned or without on site parking which is a huge benefit there.

We stayed our first night of this years tour at the Old Powder House after vflying in from the UK. We stayed in Serenity Room it was exceptional and the verandah rounded off the perfect accommodation. The reception when we arrived and during the stay was friendly and everythinng we coud have wished for and the breakfast especially eggs cordova was a real event. It is a place towhich we will return.
