Stayed here in the Overlook Room for two nights in September 2012. Forgot to write a review about this wonderful place! I am from MA and met my old friend Donna from FL. We decided to go to Saint Augustine and she suggested the Saint Francis. In such an historical city it was the perfect place to stay. The room was as if I had stepped back in time but with modern amenities. I was tired from recent surgery and the third floor was so quiet. The staff could not have done enough for their guests. Always asking if you wanted a drink or snack if they saw you around. Met interesting people at the social hour and breakfast was great. Also Dessert at 8:00 PM was nice. Only regret was that we could not stay longer. If I ever have the opportunity to go back, I will stay for at least four nights! The price might be a little higher than the chain hotels but is well worth it! Pat in MA

Our stay at St Francis Inn was perfect. We prefer staying in Bed and Breakfasts, and the St Francis did not disappoint. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. The location is nice and central to the old town, and we were able to walk to many of the points of interest. The staff went above and beyond. I misplaced one of my rings. When I asked the maid if it was possible she vacuumed it by mistake, she didn't hesitate, and dumped out the mornings dust bag. I'm happy to say, I found it in the bottom of my suitcase when I got home. It's service people who go the extra mile that really make a place stand out from others. If we return to St Augustine, we would absolutely be back at the St Francis. Thank you all for a wonderful trip! Betsy Silvestri David Cruse

We loved the inn. The room was what was advertised with no disappointments. The Staff was wonderful, breakfast was delightful, and all in all it was a great experience. The St Francis will be recommended to all our friends.

This was the third stay at St. Francis Inn and won't be our last. The reason I did not give five stars in "value" was, I feel, is to stay for a minimum of two nights to take advantage of all amenities offered. Unfortunately, our stay this visit was only one night. Four stars were given for cleanliness, although the room was very, very clean, I felt the outdoor pool was just a little too green around the edges.

What a Great Get-Away! My husband and I stayed in the Overlook Suite (upstairs, 3rd floor not bad if you don't mind stairs; they have so many different rooms to choose from though). It had a King-size Bed, Garden Tub with jets, Wi-Fi, TV, fridge & microwave all in the room along with complimentary Cream Sherry. They had an Awesome breakfast each morning, a Social Hour with vegetables, crackers, dip, wine or beer. As well as a dessert hour. Nice pool, and court yard area. Zeke, the outside cat, was their everyday, very friendly... There was a short walk (like 10mins top) to downtown area to shop and maybe 20mins away from the Fort. Everyone was really awesome who worked at the St. Francis Inn. We had so much fun, we were a bit sad after leaving. Definitely want to go again.

We so enjoyed our stay - everything was wonderful. The staff are so welcoming and hospitable, you just feel at home from the minute you arrive. I just wish we had stayed more than one night. Can't wait to return in the future.

I just concluded my visit with the St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast this morning and was sad to leave. My best friend and I spent 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were immaculate, the staff was so incredibly friendly and courteous, and the amenities were out of this world. I felt spoiled and pampered and will return to St. Augustine just so I can stay in this B&B again!!! They made my first experience in St. Augustine a very enjoyable experience and after traveling throughout many states and staying in many of the finest hotels I would have to say I have now found a place that truly felt like a home away from home!

Great stay!!! we have all ready made my return reservations for December. Great service by all the folks there. We only had 1 problem during our stay the air conditioner broke in our room which made it very un comfortable. These things happen, we were disappointed but the staff put us in a different room and it was wonderful.

St. Francis has the perfect relaxed vibe. It is a place that allows the stillness and quietness of life to breathe all the while making you feel very connected. I highly recommend staying at the St. Francis Inn to my friends and family. They are tucked away perfectly, but so close to all the sights of St. Augustine. The FREE bikes they have on hand are a GREAT treat. As well as the complimentary evening social hours, evening desserts, to the in room creamed Sherry are just a few of the little extra comforts provided. There are a ton of B&B's in St. Augustine, but staying at this historical gem truly is a treat. The grounds and Inn are kept up VERY nicely. The Finnegan's and their staff are amazing and make you feel right at home. This little charming Inn feels like home. The history of this place just can't be take for granted either. Me and my (2) older daughters (19) had a great time. On that note, I would recommend this Inn for only mature well-behaved children, if you even are thinking of bringing the little ones. I can't wait to get the time to return. Thank you for the GREAT B&B experience! - Wendy from Winter Park, FL

We have stayed here at least 3 maybe 4 times. The 1st time won us over and we've never considered staying anywhere else in St. Augustine. Conveniently located. Park your car on arrival and never drive again until departure. The innkeeper have secured superior staff at every level. Breakfasts are superb. Social hour transitions your attitude from daytime to evening. Nighttime sweet treats ensure sweet dreams. And if you're lucky (as we were) Zeke the cat will join you for breakfast in the courtyard. We often hesitate to recommend our favorite places to others for fear they won't find them as charming as we do. We never hesitate to recommend the St. Francis!
5 on May 20, 2014
This was our first time in St. Augustine and took the recommendation from friends to stay at the St. Francis. We could not have been more pleased. Not only was the historic character perfectly charming, but the delicious breakfast, "happy" hour accommodations, and beyond much more than expected. We definitely remember our trip with special fondness because of the St. Francis and look forward to returning soon.

We had a fantastic time at your b&b! Excellent service provided by friendly staff members. We really enjoyed your tasty breakfasts and desserts, the sunny, quiet and wellkept garden. I also liked to sit on "my own" porch, in the rocking chair and swing. Great location, within walking distance to everything. I dare say it's one of the best places to stay at in Saint Augustine.

Beware the "Courtyard room". There is a lovely swing outside the window by the bed. At 10 pm a couple was sitting outside talking. We could have reached out and touched them!!!

The food at this Inn is fantastic. There is always coffee, hot & cold tea, water out for guests. Morning begins with a delicious breakfast that changes each day. In the afternoon there is happy hour with local wines, beer & light appetizers. Then late night a round of desserts appear. I especially liked being able to get a cup of ice water late at night before bed. All of this is included in your stay. The Inn is well-run by a friendly & helpful front desk. Very conveniently located to historic distrct with a lovely short walk to St. George St. A great place to stay in St. Augustine!
4.2 on March 24, 2014
their "little extras" make this a good value-free sherry, free dessert ,free happy hour with snacks, free coffee ,tea sodas etc. and free admission to the St Augustine lighthouse! Rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean if a bit small. The owners are so helpful and nice! Love this place!
5 on March 24, 2014
The location was perfect for visiting the sights of St Augustine. The food was excellent, homemade and anything you need was there. I would recommend St Francis Inn to everyone I meet.

If you want to live part of history of St Augustine, which is a beautiful historic location with lots of entertainment in addition to its colorful past, stay at St. Francis Inn. You will get an old world feel with modern comforts. We stayed in the large Saffron Suite that actually had three rooms plus the bathroom. It was very well appointed and had all the creature comforts we wanted in a historical setting. Breakfast and treats throughout the day and evening were excellent, and available on a self-serve basis and highly convenient. Service was top-notch. In addition, we were able to walk or take the trolley to almost everywhere we wanted to go because the inn is located in the historic district and close the trolley. We would not hesitate to return.
3.8 on March 22, 2014
Our room was small but nice and the bathroom was very small. If you like meeting and talking with people you will really enjoy the social hour and the 8 - 9 pm dessert. We would stay there again but at least fro 2 nights.
3.4 on March 19, 2014
Great value. We stayed at the Harbor front property which was roomy and comfortable. We did make it to the evening dessert hour but had slim pickings of dry apple cake, despite the staff member telling us she would replenish the supply which she never did. I would, however, stay again and try the Inn itself.

This was our 2nd stay at the St Francis Inn. The stay was even more enjoyable then our 1st stay. The St Francis is a perfect compliment when visiting our favorite east coast city. Going forward we will schedule our St Augustine visits around room availability at the St Francis. Our thanks and appreciation go out to the staff at the St Francis.

We choose to stay at the St. Francis Inn because of the hauntings. Did not feel anything or see anything strange. We stayed in Lily's room, kinda small, but that is the room we wanted. The bed was SUPER comfortable!! The sheets were so soft! They have a decantor of sherry in the room and told us to bring it down to be refilled if it got empty. They had a social hour with wine and appetizers and served dessert later in the evening. There was water and tea available 24 hours a day, with iced tea and coffee available during the day. They also put out snacks at night in case you got hungry. We only ate breakfast one day and everything was good. They had a big assortment of choices. Everyone was very friendly and it was a very comfortable place to stay. Would highly recommend it!

This was our first visit here and we loved the place. Built in 1791, it has loads of charm. We are planning a return visit in the fall, and will stay longer the next time. It's on a quiet street, but with easy walking to the historic district attractions and restaurants. Good off-street parking available. Read the room descriptions carefully, every room is different.

My wife and I stayed at St. Francis Inn for our 26th Wedding Anniversary. It was a memorable occasion right from the start! Although we booked the Garcia Suite, the staff was gracious enough to show us other rooms that were available for the night. After seeing other available rooms, we opted to stay in the Garcia Suite, very satisfied with our choice. After checking into the room, we relaxed in the parlor and read all the material we were given at check in. My wife remarked, "Why would we ever want to leave?" The amenities were plentiful! You never wanted for anything. The evening social was fantastic! The complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine were quite the treat. Not to mention the desert and coffee social that was scheduled for later that evening. Meeting the other guests and sharing stories was a bonus. The breakfast buffet was over the top! Not the typical pastry and coffee offering on your way out the door here...we found ourselves relishing in the moment, not wanting it to end. We took advantage of the bicycles that were available and took a short tour around the area. Soon it was time to check out. In a very solemn manner, we packed out things and with our bottom lips poked out, we checked out and left. Kelly and Max were very helpful and full of information. It was quite evident they enjoyed what they do...making your visit very enjoyable. We Will Be Back!

EVERY AMENITY AT THE INN INCLUDED WITH SO MANY OFFERINGS FROM A SUMPTIOUS BREAKFAST, DELICIOUS HAPPY HOUR, EVENING DESSERT TO DIE FOR, PLUS SMORES ON THE PATIO. LOVELY STAFF. ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES WE HAVE HAD AS ACTIVE B&B TRAVELERS.

Our 1-day stay at the St. Francis nestled in the ancient residential district of St. Augustine, was shear pleasure from the moment we left our car in the convenient cross-street parking through our delicious breakfast the next morning. The staff was outstanding, accommodating without interfering. Our room, the Garcia Suite transported us to an earlier time. Our suite was comprised of 2 period rooms and a spacious, luxurious bath. The delightful sitting area complete with creme sherry properly decanted, was a wonderful retreat on a cold January day. We expected a king bed, and we got more, two large double beds of incredible comfort put together. We needed a good night's sleep, and we got it. After a dinner just a short distance from the hotel, and after returning to the inn, we found s'more makings at the reception desk. We, of course, went right to the courtyard fire pit to enjoy our late night snack! The folks at the front desk made two good meal recommendations, one for a quick lunch at H.P. Henley, and one for dinner at O.C. Whites. The Saint Francis and its staff are outstanding. And, while just a short walk to all that old the St. Augustine waterfront has to offer, one has a sense of being far removed. We look forward to another stay at the St. Francis.

My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary at the St. Francis Inn and where blown away by the very friendly courteous staff that left us needing for nothing! If we asked...we received!! The Overlook room was very comfortable and perfect for a lovely evening with my wife....we will always stay here from now on when we visit St. Augustine!!!

We stayed here for our 9 year anniversary and we LOVED it! The sheets were so comfortable we bought some to take home with us! The food breakfast and dessert was outstanding! Too cold to ride the bikes but will do it next time! We did get to do the smores in the fire pit both nights we stayed it was fun to do! Saw Zeke the cat he is very friendly and nice to see him hanging around since I love animals! We stayed in Margarets room it is not a big room but perfect for my husband and I and loved the big jet tub! Bathroom was a good size as well! It is very close to the down town shopping area to walk around to. And if you get a chance to eat at the Columbia Restaurant it was very good! We will definitely be back to stay here again!

The women who staffed the inn during our stay were nothing less than exceptional. They made my wife and I feel the most welcome of anywhere we have stayed. They were always offering us more things to make us comfortable. Walking distance was not bad at all to the main downtown where all of the shops and restaurants were. We borrowed their bicycles to ride out a bit farther and really enjoyed that as well. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but the grounds and inn were clean and well kept. The interior had a historic feeling with antique furniture and paintings of old St. Augustine. I would absolutely recommend the St. Francis Inn!

We spent MLK weekend in St. Augustine at the St. Farncis Inn and what a great weekend! This was our first time staying at the St. Francis and we will definately come back! The staff at the Inn looked after our every need and the rooms, service and dining were outstanding! We've stayed at other B&B's in the historic district but none have exceeded our expectations quite like the St. Francis!!
4.6 on January 19, 2014
The breakfasts were plentiful and served extremely well with the dishes coming out in and placed on the 3 breakfast tables in family size amounts so that they never looked messy and was always full. The deserts and rolls were all made on the premises. The happy hour was great as well as the coffee bar. Starbucks couldn't have done better. I hated to leave. My room was small but I knew that but I needed a first floor and it was close to everything.

Our second annual pre-Chirstmas visit to St. Augustine was better than the first!. As usual St. Francis Inn was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Cannot wait to next year.

We had a 4-day stay over Thanksgiving, and we could not have been treated any better. Our room was very small, but also very clean and comfortable. The people who worked there were very accommodating and always pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts included anything we would have wanted, and the quality was consistently high. On the morning after a holiday and on weekend, make-your-own mimosas and bloody Marys were included. There were snacks and wine and beer during the pre-dinner hour, and there was homemade dessert at night. We met a lot of interesting guests there, and it seems that almost all of them were "regulars" or at least had been there. We would return in a minute if it weren't a 12-hour drive for us.

My husband and I were married in the court yard at the Saint Francis Inn on July 5, 2013. We just felt like going back because we love it so much there. We had a great weekend as we always do at the Saint Francis Inn. Zeke welcomed us in the parking lot on Friday night when we arrived, came by the courtyard to check in on us during the weekend then saw us off on Sunday. He's such a little charmer and just an added dividend that make the St. Francis Inn feel like home to us. We stayed in the Garcia Suite this last visit and it is now our favorite room.

The St. Francis Inn is a fantastic bed and breakfast in St. Augustine. It is close enough to the action, but far enough away so that you can have peace and quiet if you want it. This a return visit for us. The room we reserved was ready for us early and was exactly what we expected. This time we booked the Graham room with the bathroom down the hall. After going to Europe before this concept isn't a new idea for us. The people who work at the St. Francis went above and beyond to make sure the food, room, and service was FANTASTIC. They have a happy hour which includes appetizer type food and beer and wine. Then later in the evening they have dessert. Breakfast in the morning is again awesome and custom lattes if you ask for them are brought to your table. We would stay there again the next time we come to St. Augustine. It is just like home, but better - because you don't have to cook or make your bed

Welcoming inn, right in the downtown area of St. Augustine. Very close to all attractions. Amazing service and ultra clean room. The room was a little small for seniors with mobility issues.

We had a wonderful visit last weekend. The staff was wonderful, the appetizers and desserts were absolutely delicious. The attention to detail was amazing, absolutely loved our stay.

My wife loved this and so did I. The location is max, the amenities are great, the people are nice, the history is over the top, and the choice of great places to eat nearby are numerous. Access to the beach house makes the value of the stay even more wonderful. We will be back when we can stay more than 2 days, and bring friends with us.

The St Francis Inn folks made us feel very welcome, like family. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The food was better than any of the half dozen local restaurants we tried. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Patty

We stayed in the Our Beach Bungalow for my birthday. Our check in went smoothly with advice from the staff on locations to dine, places to go and things to explore. We loved the magazines they gave us to review to help us decide what to do. We ate breakfast daily at the B&B the best part was feeling like you were apart of the B&B guests but having the little beach paradise that you went back to. We will stay here again and again! I recommend the Our Beach House and Our Beach Bungalow to everyone!
3.4 on October 15, 2013
Have stayed there many times and would do so again. My only suggestion at this time would be to please get new chairs for the beach house. The ones they have are old and rusty and also some new beach towels would be nice. Other than that, wonderful stay.
4.2 on October 15, 2013
The location of the St. Francis Inn is perfect for a walk down historic St. George Street in St. Augustine. The staff was especially helpful in providing input for our meanderings. Their satellite location at the beach was a great complement to their historic facility. We will return frequently.

We have stayed at the St Francis twice before and just love the place. The staff is friendly (in fact, my wife, who grew up in Owosso Michigan found out that one of the staff also lived and worked in Owosso at the same business - what a treat). Our room was fantastic on third floor. Just love the place - we'll be back. David and Carol Kuma.

Located right in the middle of everything we wanted to see combined with the ambiance of the old inn made it the perfect spot to stay in St. Augustine. We will be back.

The amenities alone are worth the value, not to mention the extremely accommodating staff. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon.

Really enjoyed the amenities at St Francis Inn. The room was a little tight but how much time do you spend in the room? The free admission to The Lighthouse and the half off admission to the Oldest House museum was really nice. I enjoyed the Breakfast so much I asked for the recipe for the vegetable strata (the best I ever had),and for the French toast also the best I ever had! Would love to return and bring my family and stay in the cottage which sleeps six. There is so much to do and see in St Augustine I would highly recommend this area and the St Francis Inn .

We were in town for the Gentlemen of The Road Tour and the Inn was just a 15 minute walk from the concert venue. The location is perfect, the area is steeped in history and a delight to wander around in. The Inn is beautiful and the meals are delicious. Couldn't have had a better experience.

The only bad thing I have to say about this trip was that we only got to enjoy the St. Francis Inn for one night. But, that one night was perfection. From the strawberries and champagne waiting for us in our room to the amazing breakfast the following morning, everything was perfect. The grounds are beautiful, with wonderful landscaping and a sweet little cat named Zeke who joined us at our table for breakfast. Everything was beyond expectations. We can't wait to go back!

We spent two days at the St Francis Inn, Sept. 2 & 3. Our room was so charming and very comfortable and clean. The food was very good and plenty of it, too. Every person we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The outdoor areas are so tranquil and relaxing -- even their parking area is pretty! You will not want to leave!

4.4 on September 09, 2013
Very clean and excellent customer service. My only complaint was that the room above us made a lot of noise due to the age of the actual floors (LOTS of creaking) but what do you expect for a place built in 1791. I will definitely go back and I recommended this place for anyone.

3 night stay for our second time here. celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last year and knew we would return again. love the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to go the extra mile to provide anything more you might want or any changes you would like to make. food and drink are excellent -always several choices. the social hour with beverages and snack are a great treat as is the dessert! St Francis Inn is so much more than just a Bed & Breakfast. Love the location - you can park your car and walk to most anything you may want to see/do.
5 on September 05, 2013
I have been a guest at the St. Francis three times now on visits to St. Augustine. I find it utterly charming and unique. The staff is always extremely friendly and attentive, the breakfast, happy-hour snack, and evening desserts are varied and excellent, and the beach-house/bicycles offer a particular value. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting in the beautiful garden having a glass of wine (and generally entertaining Zeke, the large grey cat who feels he is the B&B proprietor).
4.8 on September 01, 2013
After a friend suggested this place from walking by its cute courtyard, we booked a stay were not let down. It was walking distance to the town and shops, cute and comfy feel and even had a reserved parking and a shed of beach goodies to borrow down by the ocean! We were going to look for a B&B by the ocean, but the fact that they had reserved parking for us near both the town and the ocean makes this B&B superior. I wasn't impressed by the breakfast I had the one morning I got up in time, but they changed daily so it may have just been that one day. Mary was the sweetest lady I've ever met.

I stayed at the St. Francis Inn earlier this month and the visit was better than I ever thought it would be. The staff was very kind and answered any questions I had, the cinnamon waffles with whipped cream and maple syrup was breakfast heaven and my room comfortable. It was just the kind of atmosphere a girl traveling alone for the first time needed. My only complaint was that the stained glass windows in Lily's room led to the hallway and even with the curtains closed I had quite a bit of light shining in from the hallway lights that the staff couldn't figure out how to turn off they said I was welcome to unscrew the light blub if I wanted but those things get really hot after being on all day.

We enjoyed the ambiance, the Social Hour, dessert, and the breakfast. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and included a wide selection. The room and bathroom had nice features, but the courtyard was our favorite spot. The location was quiet but conveniently located in the historic district. We walked everywhere except to the lighthouse.

We booked here because our usual choice was full. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the price was a bit high, until I realized what all one gets for the price. Besides a the room and breakfast, both of which were wonderful, there is a pool. They provide drinks throughout the day, including wine (from St. Sebastion, the local winery, among others), bicycles for touring (a great way to get around St. Augustine), and an evening social hour. They have cottages on the beach, I am told, and will provide amenities to guests who stay at the Inn should they decide to visit the beach. Our stay did not permit time to take advantage of this, so I cannot say what they offer in that regard. Perhaps we can stay longer next time, to check it out! All in all, a wonderful stay in a nice, quiet neighborhood, with fine hosts. I highly recommend it!

I would recomend this Inn to all my friends and family.

We arrived at our vacation point a day early and stayed in the Ballerina room of the St. Francis Inn for just one night, and would definitely return. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the food and beverage service was great, and the entire Inn was spotless. We especially liked the outdoor courtyard and preservation of the historical period of the home. If we had to pinpoint one fault, the pool area needs a little improvement. The location is fantastic....on a quiet street off the beaten path but within walking distance of the best part of old St Augustine.

We had stayed at the St. Francis in the '90s while living in Jacksonville. In fact, it was our favorite getaway spot. Returning we found everything we remembered fondly, and much more. The amenities have all been upgraded; from the food and drink to the room features. The staff were very friendly, and helped make our time very special. The location of the St. Francis is ideal...away from the touristy part of town, quiet and in easy walking distance of excellent restaurants. We look forward to a return visit in the future.

We married here 8 years ago and returned last weekend for our anniversary. The St. Francis Inn is a truly special place to visit...excellent service, around-the-clock amenities, delicious food and beverages, and relaxing, peaceful accommodations. A trip to St. Augustine would not be the same without staying here. There is something here for all tastes and all of life's special occasions (birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or just to get away). Highly recommended.

I have stayed in a few B&B's around St. Augustine and The St. Francis Inn is far and above the BEST in historic St. Augustine. From the rooms, the grounds, the staff and overall value, it's can't be beat, but WAIT!! The food and service is A++. Believe me, you will never go hungry. Social Hour is a delight and the evening dessert is always yummy. What a treat! This was my 2nd stay at the Inn and I won't be able to stay anywhere else when visiting St. Augustine. The St. Francis Inn has spoiled me.

For her birthday, by Mom asked for a girls-only weekend and we picked the St. Francis Inn because it was one of the few inns that would allow us to stay only one night. When we arrived an hour early, it was no problem. Our room was ready and we were greeted like long lost family members. Even though we only stayed one night, we were able to pack a lot of fun into it, including the social hour and the dessert party! The Sunday brunch breakfast was delicious and we can't wait to return for a longer stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at the St. Francis Inn. Kudos to the staff who are very friendly, exceedingly cordial and helpful. They go above and beyond to assist their their guests in whatever they need with. We got to know some of the other gusts through the daily social and desert hours... fantastic. Just leave your car in the parking lot and walk to most of the interesting historic sites and eateries in the historic area. The entire experience was very relaxing, fun and pleasant. We are definitely looking forward coming back to the Inn.

We stayed at the Beach Cottage and it was a great location for the beach and the town of St. Augustine as well. The Cottage was all up to date, very clean and great accommodations for 2 adults and 2 kids. It would probably be a bit small for any additional guests but was perfect for us. We had breakfast at the Inn every day which was included and delicious! Next time, my husband and I may do a long weekend at the Inn itself as it is a Great Location. Everyone very nice and helpful with anything you may need. I would highly recommend the St. Francis Inn and it's Beach Cottage!

The breakfast was delicious with many choices of foods. It was a delight being in the historic section of St. Augustine. I would stay at the St. Francis if ever in the area. Delightful!

What better way to stay in America's oldest city than in an historic B & B? St Francis Inn manages to combine quaint boutique accommodation with excellent service, great managers reception and fine food. Loved our stay there and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for quality accommodation in this delightful town.
5 on June 28, 2013
We got there early however they allowed us to park our car and use the bikes while the room was being prepared. Our room was the Ballerina Room and was great. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub but oldly had a ceiling fan in the bathroom but not in the bedroom but here was a small fan in the closet that we used because we are used to the fan sound not because it was hot. The food was excellent from the happy hour snacks, desserts and breakfast. The staff was the best with Bev getting an 11!

4.6 on June 26, 2013
They were simply wonderful. I'm recommending them to everyone. I only have 4 stars on rooms and cleanliness, because the floors are creaky and its not like a plain sterile looking hotel room... it has personality for those who like their rooms cozy. I enjoy that, others may not. For what they are, they do it perfect. The free amenities are amazing!
5 on June 24, 2013
This is our second visit to the St. Francis Inn. Both times we were impressed by the inn, the staff, the food, and everything about the weekend. I highly recommend the St. Francis Inn!
5 on June 24, 2013
We had a fabulous stay at the St. Francis Inn. We booked for 2 nights in early June and ended up wishing we could have stayed longer. The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly, and the breakfasts and evening social hours are top notch. Unlike some B&Bs, the St. Francis does not skimp on their absolutely delicious breakfasts or appetizers for the social hour. They even serve a dessert in the evenings! Although we never made it back in time for dessert, we heard other guests rave about them, especially the tiramisu. Plus, there was always a "bar" with complimentary coffee, tea, and iced water (with lemon, cucumber, etc.) at all times of the day. That iced water was especially welcome when it was in the 80's and humid outside. The location of this B&B is perfect for us. We like to be near the center of a city, but not so close that it's noisy. We also like to walk rather than drive. The St. Francis was a 10-minute walk to the center of St. Augustine's central tourist shops and restaurants, so it was perfect fo rus. Plus, the St. Francis offered ample free parking just across the street.

What a quaint place to stay! Built in 1791 imagine what has gone on there over all those years. Everything was perfect, tasty breakfast, snacks and especially the desserts and coffee. Yum Yum!! We stayed in The Graham room on the top floor, although the bathroom was along the hall this did not prove a problem, as it was our own private bathroom. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I had heard that St Augustine was a very ghostly place, not realizing that this hotel had ghosts of it's own, on the first night I was awoken to a man and woman standing in the room, their dress was of the maybe the 1700-1800's I was so surprised I have never had this type of experience before !!! unbelievable !!!

Recently stayed at the St. Francis Inn during my family's first visit to St. Augustine. The inn lived up to all of the positive internet reviews. Booked a one bedroom, two room suite on the third floor that was immaculately clean, quiet and attractively furnished. The inn, while certainly not the cheapest B&B in town, is certainly a good value after all of the extras that are included in your rate. The inn serves free late afternoon snacks/drinks and after dinner dessert. There was a never ending supply of cold drinks and snacks in the lobby. We took advantage of the free admission tickets to the historic lighthouse which was a $30.00 savings for our family of three. Can't wait to go back to use the courtyard pool and the bikes that the Inn provides free of charge for the guests. The historic setting, the beautiful grounds, excellent food, friendly staff and all the free amenities make the Inn not only very enjoyable but a good value.

Neat decor, friendly staff who were always there to help. Delicious desserts and breakfast. Enjoyed the social hours as a time to rest and share the days activities with others. Nice to have a place to dress at the beach house and get beach equipment for the day. Would not change a thing and would highly recommend to any one looking for a fun and relaxing place to stay just a walk from George street happenings.

My Mom (from Yakima WA) and I (from Columbia SC) came after spending the day on the set for Antiques Roadshow in Jacksonville. The hospitality team is guest focused for every need, right down to the smallest details. When making our reservation we requested no fresh flowers or scents and this small request was remembered. Travis met us as the Innkeeper of the day, and was informative and helpful, even carrying our suite case from across the street and up to the 2nd floor! Everyone else was very friendly and gracious. The accommodations were comfortable and charming. We loved the Elizabeth Suite. It was very spacious with nice access to the courtyard balcony. With a little extra cushion, even the sleeper bed was comfortable. We like that is was a green hotel that recycled not only our trash, but also the toiletries. There was nothing fussy about the place, but our service was superb and the accommodations top notch- a nice blend of antiques and comfortable furniture. The culinary services were delicious, we appreciated the variety at breakfast, enjoyed the evening cocktail hour and spreads and the sweet treat of homemade dessert in the evening was the perfect way to end a day of sightseeing. The latte of the day was a special treat as well. It was nice to buy discounted trolley tix right at the Inn, and the #16 stop was right around the corner. The orange and green trolley offers a great way to get the lay of the city and help determine which sites you want to go see. We plan to return with more friends, and even take advantage of the city amenities as well as the St Francis Inn Beach house. We loved spending the day at the Lightner Museum; highly recommend the Cafe Alcazar, Flagler College and the Oldest House Tour. Head on up to Jacksonville and visit the Cummer Museum for extraordinary art and gardens. The other guests were very friendly and we enjoyed conversation. Our appraisal is 5 five stars! DLD and DAD

Step back in time and enjoy your stay at the St. Francis Inn, located in a residential section of St. Augustine, but only a short walking distance to the fine eateries, shops and historical sights of interest. This historical inn offers a variety of comfortable accommodations. The Inn's gracious owners and staff will insure a pleasurable stay. Especially noteworthy are the gourmet buffet breakfasts and late afternoon cocktail hour(beer and wine and appetizers) and evening desserts. A beautiful garden/patio area and lap pool and a off street private parking lot only add to the comfort of your stay

We stayed with our kids (2,5yrs and 6mths) at the Beach Cottage. Perfect location and great place with lots of space for our family. Check-In, Breakfast and general service at St.Francis outstanding with a lovely personal touch. The Beach Cottage contains everything one needs for a stay. We found a couple if spots a bit outdated and in need of an overhaul. With just a little effort also the surrounding garden could be transformed into a nice oasis to relax. Kitchen equipment should be updated, some windows need an overhaul etc. Bits and pieces which would make this a perfect score.

We so enjoyed our stay at your inn. Our room, actually Emily's room, had a private balcony and a large jacuzzi tub, both of which we enjoyed very much. And the complimentary brandy was an unexpected, nice touch. The Florida shutters darkened the room nicely to allow us to sleep in, in the morning. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the outdoor terrace where we ate it couldn't possibly have been any nicer. It was divine. The hanging swing on the terrace was also a favorite spot for us.

We had high expectations from the reviews & the Inn met them all - charming, but retaining the historical aspect. Staff very helpful, amenities waiting for you each day - i.e. sherry in the room, infused water & coffee downstairs. Delightful patio. Convenient parking.

My wife and I stayed at the inn from April 27-May 2, 2013 for our 30th anniversary. This was our first time in St Augustine, loved it, and our first B&B stay. I can't say enough about the inn, the staff, the warmth and friendliness and the variety of interesting people that we experienced here. The staff were courteous and informative, down to telling us which restaurants not to go to. There was always fresh water, iced tea, coffee and tea available. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Afternoon social hour was a fun time to talk with the other guests had complementary beer, wine, sangria, and delicious appetizer type offerings. Evening desert hour was also a nice treat. We stayed in Anna's room, unfortunately no hauntings to report, but the room was nice, bathroom is very small so if you are a larger person or someone that has a hard time in a tight space it would probably not be a good choice for you but we had no problems . At night there are snacks left out if you need your midnight snack. We also got complementary passes to the lighthouse. We used bikes provided every day as well as swam in the pool which we always had to ourselves. Top notch in every respect Joe the owner was always visible and staff were beyond accommodating from the desk to the kitchen to housekeeping.

We always enjoy St. Augustine, but wanted something special for our anniversary. Although the room we had was small, it was cozy and the staff and the ambiance of the inn was excellent!

Great sales pitch on the phone but extremely poor performance!! While promised a lovely room and from the pictures on the website not being so; what we received was a tiny cubicle of a room with horrible outdated gasrbage furniture, a mirror that could not be used because I'm 5' and it was too high, bad lighting, a 19 inch tv that you can't see from the bed, no tables and no room to store anything, a worn out rug that was completely stained and a bed that should have been discarded years ago. The bed was so lumpy that I feel crippled. The bathroom was the size of a coffin and the shower curtain touched you from every angle so you were showering with every guest prior to you. . We were also asked to pay in full when we arrived, I guess that should have been our first clue as to what to expect. We arrived with my service dog and were told by the staff that we could not use the indoor areas because of safety issues which is grounds for a law suit since service animals are permitted everywhere, finally Kelly came in and said that the dog was permitted everywhere. The staff was rude and made us feel like we were imposing on them at every request. The only staff that were kind were Kelly and Mary. Heather was a nightmare and extremely rude. The only thing the staff is interested in is getting their job done without you bothering them and to get as much money as they possibley can from each guest. The room cost was $159.00 per night and it was not worth $50.00..I feel like we were entirely ripped off and I was so dissappointed with the St. Francis Inn. I was afraid to walk without shoes on that rug it looked so grimy. The last night there when we went to bed there was a spider in the bed and I have pictures to prove it as well. Do Not Waste your money at this inn, stay elsewhere.

Our first time staying at the St. Francis Inn and also our first time vacationing in St. Augustine was simply perfect. The buildings and ground are so beautiful. The staff was always helpful and friendly. So many great free amenities, including hot breakfast, specialty coffee, an evening social with appetizers and wine, and sinful desserts every night. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint, and close enough to walk to most of the major sites, including the Old Fort, Oldest House, Pirate Museum, St. George Street shopping, Flagler College, Lightener Museum, and more. We stayed in the Wilson Suite and everything was great. Loved the two-person whirlpool tub. :) We didn't see any of the resident ghosts, but both my girlfriend and I had a strange experience. But this only added to the excitement of our stay! I read over a dozen positive reviews before deciding on St. Francis Inn. I have no regrets and we definitely hope to return in the near future.

My husband and I stayed at the inn from April 18-20, 2013 for our 20th anniversary 'second honeymoon' celebration. I can't say enough about this wonderful inn, the staff, the warmth and friendliness that we experienced here. Since it was our first trip to St. Augustine, we had many questions. The staff were courteous and informative, down to telling us which restaurants not to go to. There was always fresh water, iced tea, coffee and tea available. The breakfast exceeded out expectations, especially the one that we received in our room as part of our package. Afternoon social hour was a fun time to talk with the other guests and far exceeded our expectations, with complementary beer, wine, sangria, and delicious appetizer type offerings. Evening desert hour was also a great surprise, there were several things to choose from, along with some port wine and other drinks. We stayed in Lily's room, unfortunately no hauntings to report, but the room was absolutely lovely. I also 'snooped' in a few of the other rooms when they were being cleaned. The staff caught me but they didn't care that I was checking them out. At night there are snacks left out if you need your midnight snack. Our package included a carriage ride and a river cruise, both were lovely. We also got complementary passes to the lighthouse. Quiet, impeccably clean, friendly, historic, pretty....all words that I would use to give this wonderful inn the highest recommendation possible for anyone considering a stay in St. Augustine!

We had flight delays so did not arrive until the wee hours of the next morning. Because we had called ahead, we had instructions how to get our room information and key. Staff we excellent and friendly, and we felt right at home during our stay. The room was clean and also unique with some nice touches like fresh flowers. The breakfasts were WONDERFUL. We also had one of the afternoon snack times, and although we arrived towards the end, we didn't feel rushed to leave after the official end time. GREAT place and we hope to return again soon. You won't regret choosing St. Francis Inn.

I surprised my wife with a weekend getaway for our 10yr anniversary. We absolutely loved our time here. The room was nice and relaxing. The service was great. Food was amazing. This weekend was a special get-away. After all of the waiting, this bed and breakfast was completely outstanding. The site is in the middle of all of the history. They have loaner bikes to site see. Everything was with in bicycling distance and this worked out very well for us. Arrangements were made for a carriage ride and site seeing harbor cruise. The food was great. Evening Social time and dessert social time was a balance of great food and wine. We will stay here again.

My only possible criticism, would be if some healthy alternatives such as fresh fruit could be added to the breakfast menu. We stayed on the beach, while the weather did not cooperate we still had a lovely time.

We had an incredible time celebrating our anniversary. Located near everything. The bikes available where very cool. The staff was top notch! We will definately be back next year as the st. Francis was able to grant us a one night stay. A couple of othe nearby inns where not as helpful. We have an 8 yr old and could only get away for 1 night. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay great!

Wine & cheese & other offerings during happy hour are awesome. So was the dessert at night. They even had snacks available when staff left (wow). We got choc covered strawberries on arrival (yum) and order picnic basket (again amazing). Enojyed in-room massage for both of us (wonderful)....we can't wait to go back!!

The St Francis is a lovely inn ideally situated for short walks into the historic district. The suite we stayed in had all amenties that you expect for a bed & breakfast, but the most amazing thing was how quiet it was, Our room was at the top of the stairs and we couldn't hear peopole comimg and going. It was so quiet, we were afraid we were the only ones there. Outstanding!! RCD Louisville, KY

4 of my closest friends stayed at the " cottage" and our experience was amazing! My biggest concern was would it be clean and it absolutely was. This place is loaded with charm from a wonderful breakfast in the courtyard, mango sweet tea at check in and bikes to ride around town! Everyone was helpful and sweet, food was great and I cannot wait to return. After just a weekend I feel like a new, happier, and more relaxed person! You'll be impressed. Rent the cottage! - Sharon

My husband and I chose St. Francis Inn because it was ranked highly on some travel sites, and because of its reputation for being haunted. While we did not encounter any spirits during our stay, we did have a very memorable experience. Location: The bed and breakfast is within walking distance of many tourist sites (including the shops in the historic district), restaurants, and even a local bar. The bed & breakfast has a large parking lot adjacent to the rooms, which was convenient. Service: Outstanding. The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful. She provided us with a map of the area, coupons for local tourist sites, and a coupon for a discounted drink from the on-location bar. She took us to our room and thoroughly explained everything from the thermostat to the check-out policy. The room itself: We stayed in the Courtyard Room, which features a private entrance right off the courtyard; that was definitely convenient. The room is quite cozy; it is rather small, but did not feel cramped. There was a fireplace, a TV with a DVD player, and even some brandy waiting for us in our room. Amenities: The St. Francis Inn is all about amenities. There was a complimentary Southern-style breakfast each morning. The menu changes daily, but there are always hot items and fresh fruit available. They even offered champagne for mimosas. There was a social hour from 5:00 - 6:00pm with local wine and yummy appetizers. If that weren't enough, there was even a dessert hour later in the evening with complimentary dessert. Rates: We were pleased with St. Francis Inn's rates, especially in relation to what we got for the money. We could not have stayed in a hotel in the area and gotten the level of service or the experience we received here. If we stay in St. Augustine in the future, St. Francis Inn will be our first and only lodging choice.

We truly enjoyed our visit and would chose to stay here again. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a sofa, window shutters and potted plants. The pillows were a little tired but the bed was comfortable and we slept well. We really enjoyed a lemon poppy seed waffle on our first morning but the egg casserole the next morning was only ordinary, even disappointing. The upside is that they are very generous, providing coffee and tea all day a cocktail hour, complimentary dessert and noon checkout so, except for two minor disappointments, I think they get it right and being a 5 minute walk to downtown area I would still recommend a stay.

I stayed in the Graham room in February 2013 for one night. I was immediately made to fee welcome by being taken to my room and being offered free appetizers, drinks, and dessert that evening. There was also free sherry in my room. I was traveling alone, but it was very easy to meet other travelers in the dining room of the St. Francis Inn. The room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The next morning I enjoyed a hearty, delicious, homemade breakfast, and again the service was friendly and caring. I was especially pleased that the innkeeper allowed me to leave my car in the parking lot all day, even after checking out! I was also given a free pass to the lighthouse and a half-off coupon for the Oldest House, which is very close by. I will definitely come back to the St. Francis Inn with my husband or other family members. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and highly recommend this inn!

If you're looking to be pampered, this is the place! The staff can't seem to do enough (in their eyes!) to make you happy. They'll make you a latte to order - enough said! The food was good and very plentiful. They have a free cocktail hour and then, later in the evening, free dessert! The rooms aren't cheap but they're well worth it. And the inn has a history - not some cookie-cutter chain hotel. The whole place has character to spare. Can't wait to visit again!

We stayed in the balcony room, which we found out is directly above the dining area. We could hear conversations and loud talking at certain times of the day and night, which was annoying. We love St. Francis, have stayed there frequently, and will again. Just not in the balcony room.
5 on January 20, 2013
My sister and I stayed at this lovely inn for the 3rd time this year. We are never disappointed!!! The Inn is so cosy and attractive with such friendly people to help guide you around St. Augustine or just relax at the inn. We would recommend St. Francis to any and all travellers.
4.2 on January 19, 2013
It was a very quiet and quaint bed and breakfast in a great location in the historic downtown of St. Augustine. We could walk everywhere. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this B&B to someone else going to St. Augustine and stay there again myself.
4.4 on January 17, 2013
St. Francis Inn is a wonderful, welcoming Inn nestled in old town St. Augustine. The location is quaint and on most accounts, away from the hustle and bustle of daily activities. It and her staff welcome you upon arrival. Adequate parking, close to shopping and sights, wonderful breakfasts, coffees and staff. The front desk will assist you with anything! Comparatively speaking, with Casa Monica downtown, St. Francis is a better value. Granted, you essentially are comparing apples to oranges and Casa Monica is quite lovely, St. Francis is simply more inviting. If looking for a relaxing place to rest and relax during your stay at St. Augustine, consider St. Francis Inn. On a side note, you might want to choose a room opposite of St. George street. Traffic noise as well as pedestrian noise (at times) can get loud. Thanks for the nice visit, and be sure to visit with Zeke. He is a very loving cat who visits the courtyard regularly.
4.6 on January 14, 2013
I stayed just one night but will again. The location is perfect for shopping and seeing the old town's sights. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area. They provided a real breakfast, not the continental fare and I loved the happy hour featuring local wines. There were guests of all ages and all were considerate. I only wish I booked a longer stay!

Our stay was wonderful....my husband and I love to visit St. Augustine to see the lights and this year we decided to stay over night. We live in Jacksonville so it is not a long drive, but this year we had several friends joining us. Another cuple we were with also decided to book a room. We had the little room on the patio and it was perfect for the 2 of us. I loved the fireplace and the little tub. The bed was the absolute most comfortable bed I have ever laid my head on. We loved the fact that every detail that could be possibly thought of was provided!! The breakfast was wonderful, the greeting was amazing and it was a perfect stay because it was tucked away from the traffic but a short walk to where you wanted to be, plus close parking. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again!!

St. Francis Inn (and sister properties) are our "go to" B&Bs for St.Augustine - whether it's a a spring or fall history tour, a summer beach excursion, or, in this case, a romantic winter holiday to celebrate the Christmas Season (and my birthday). The city was bedecked in twinkle-lights and the weather was clear, crisp and COLD (for Florida), so we took full advantage of the fireplace in our beautiful room - as did our Westie, Tully. By day, we enjoyed the sites of the City and nearby beaches, but made certain to return for Social Hour for the scrumptious snacks and a glass of wine! In the evenings we dined at one of the excellent restaurants, within walking distance - and strolled the festive, twinkling streets (while Tully was snuggled by the fire). Each morning, a hearty and delicious breakfast awaited us - featuring one of the many well-known recipes of the inn, a new one each day. Great Stay. HIGHLY recommend!

The owners and staff go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and you have everything you need during your stay. The home cooked food is excellent and the social hour and desert time in the evenings allow you to meet other great guests in a relaxed atmosphere if you want to. The Inn is in walking distance to the heart of the city and if you don't want to ever get in your car the whole stay you don't have to. There are Trolleys that take you almost anywhere you need to go. I have been here 2 times and plan on staying here any time I visit St. Augustine.

The St Francis Inn is lovely. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would suggest another room though. The courtyard is very private however the bath room is smaller than it appears in the pics. My husband and I visit St. Augustine several times a year and love the area. To celebrate him turning 50, I booked the Wilson Suite at St. Francis Inn and we were blown away! The staff was incredible and worked with me on several surprises including a home made birthday cake waiting for him in our suite when we checked in and room service breakfast for his birthday morning. Heather & Kelly were great and our week was so relaxing and the amenities were impressive. Bikes to ride, a few free attraction tickets, St. Augustine Shuttle passes available for purchase right at the inn, off street parking, beach property to visit and the food was INCREDIBLE! The price was more than we normally spend for our visit to St. Augustine, but well worth every penny! Keily & Mark Potter, Lakeland Florida

This was my first stay in a bed & breakfast, and I have to say - I'm hooked. The staff was incredibly friendly, including the owners (I'd seen on tripadvisor that the owners were "no where to be found" in some reviews). The food - breakfast, social hour & breakfast - was AMAZING! We stayed during the week, so didn't get to experience the weekend brunches, but I can only imagine!! We stayed over Halloween, an incredibly popular time in St. Augustine because of it's history. St. Francis Inn is very popular at this time, because of it's reported "paranormal" happenings. We booked our stay about 3 months in advance, and the only room open was Marie's room. If you read some of the other tripadvisor comments, Marie's room is said to be quite noisy in the morning because it backs up to the kitchen. This is true. If you enjoy nightlife and do not want to wake up before/at 7 am, this is not the room for you. I was "forewarned", so the room "met my expectation". When we left, we were still able to keep our car there and use the restrooms. We got to peek into some of the rooms that people hadn't checked into yet, and they were GORGEOUS! Don't let my review of that specific room deter you. The walk to the beginning of King George Street only takes less than 10 minutes (and there are gorgeous houses to see along the way). Once you've reached the "shopping" street. Because it's set back a bit, it's VERY peaceful for a city with SO much to do. For those who don't want to walk, take a trolley! They stop at the oldest house, which is a block away (Flagler & Lightner Museum are also within a 5 minute walk). When we make our way back to St. Augustine (we live about 3 hours away), this is where we will stay. From now on, bed & breakfasts will be my choice of lodging in other areas. Based on this experience, the lodging was PART of the experience and not just a place to lay your head.

We only stayed here for 2 nights but it was amazing. Booked to go back again in January when it is cooler so we can explore St Augustines. Cannot praise St Francis Inn enough for making us feel so welcome, looking forward to coming back. Travellers from the U.K.

Stayed in Garden Hideaway. Room recently renovated-still a few kinks-outside light not working but worked out great as we brought our dog with. Staff is very very helpful and accomodating-arranged for early dessert as we had theatre plans. Location is great for walking the Old City. Food is wonderful-homemade lattes at breakfast-afternoon appetizers-plenty of options for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again if ever return to St. Augustine.

This was our second stay at St Francis Inn and we absolutely love it. When we first got there we had forgotten our coupon and gift certificate. They were able to look up the gift certificate in their system and take our word for it that we had a coupon and applied the savings to our bill. There is alway ice and ice water in the lobby. At 5:00-6:00PM is happy hour with a great snack and all sorts of wines. Later they had dessert. We had missed dessert but Heather saw us out relaxing by the pool and asked if she could bring us some. Breakfast this morning was wonderful. We had egg-in-a-basket and hash brown casserole with a cinnamon roll and lots of other stuff. We loved the courtyard and spent a lot of time there including eating meals. October is a wonderful time to be there. The rooms are quaint, comfortable and unique. Everything is clean and well decorated. The entire staff goes out of their way to help and are very friendly at every opportunity. We will go back every chance we get.

My husband and I had a wonderful babymoon in St. Augustine. I was 36 weeks pregnant and we live in Jacksonville...so we did not want to go very far. St. Francis BB was a wonderful, quiet and quaint get away. Wish we could have stayed longer. The Sunday brunch was delicious and we were able to walk to the Basilica for Mass following brunch. It was wonderful. 100% recommend. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

The staff at the St. Francis Inn was wonderful! They were very helpful with directions and recommended great restaurants. Everyting about this B and B was wonderful, from the time we checked in until we left! We would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to others.

We received a gift certificate to the St. Francis Inn and decided to use it about two months before the arrival of our first child. We had a great time in St. Augustine, and the Inn added to that. The staff was friendly and helpful; the Inn was extremely clean; and the walk to the Historic District took us under 10 minutes, even with my being very pregnant. We had a great time and will definitely recommend the St. Francis Inn to anyone traveling to St. Augustine in the future.

My husband and I recently stayed at the St. Francis Inn while visiting St. Augustine on business. We have never stayed in a B&B, but after our absolutely wonderful stay there we will be looking at staying at other B&B's. They provided a very nice afternoon/early evening of light snacks including hot ones with complimentary wine and beer. Breakfast was also a very nice buffet with both hot and cold items to choose. The location was within walking distance of the various historic points around town and all in all a really nice place to stay. In additiion, the staff was always friendly and helpful. I should also mention they have a little beach shack that provide complementary towels and cold water if you want to go the beach. The St. Francis Inn is definitely a come back to place.

This is the second time I've stayed at the SFI. I've had a lovely time on both occasions. The location is outstanding and very evocative. I enjoy the walks through the historic district to and from the downtown scene. But the best thing about the SFI is the actual building -- try to stay in the Balcony Suite! The next best thing is the generosity of the service and the perks -- lots of yummy snacks and alcoholic drinks. Plus, the friendly staff really encourages you to enjoy the full benefits of the inn. You are made to feel quite at home! Will come back again!

We enjoyed a five-night stay in the wonderful St. Francis Inn. The Wilson Suite was spacious and so very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Coffee and hot tea were always available. Evening desserts were yummy. The staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. The location is great - we walked just about everywhere. We also took a day trip to the beach where they have several rental units. Inn guests have access to a complete bathroom, beach towels, beach chairs, cold water, and free parking. We cannot imagine a finer place to stay than the St. Francis Inn.

Although our room was much smaller than we expected, we had a very enjoyable stay at the St. Francis Inn. The courtyard was charming, the service very accomodating and the breakfasts and social hour appetizers were exceptionally good. We will definitely be back. Cindy and David- Charleston, SC

My husband and I stayed at St Francis Inn for our honeymoon. We love this Inn! It is now on our list of "Most Return To" places! Everything was wonderful. My girlfriend and I went their for our anniversary and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, perfect location to walk anywhere in the old city and numerous perks included at the Inn. The bikes were always available, the social hour with wine and appetizers were great and access to the beach house with chairs, towells and a restroom were fantastic. If I were going to Saint Augustine again I would only stay at the St. Francis Inn.

Though it rained most of our stay it was ok because Saffron's suite and its front porch were very comfortable with room to spare. All the staff members were extremely helpful and friendly providing great advice and directions for places to eat and see. Will definitely stay again.

My wife and I have stayed at the St. Francis on four separate occasions. We have always been impressed with the accommodations, the staff, and with St. Augustine. God willing, we will certainly stay at the St. Francis Inn again in the future.

We have stayed at several B & B 's in the area, and this is absolutley the best! The Inn is amazing, a beautiful courtyard, and the surrounding area is quiet and clean. They serve some kind of snack, food or drink all day, and they aren't chintzy like some places are. The evening social hour has real snacks and good wine. The people that work there are genuinely friendly and helpful. We stayed in Elizabeth and the room was very comfortable, and spacious. A 100% definate recommendation for B & B travelers.

Recently met my daughter from Savannah as I came from Palm Beach and we loved the discovery of this charming INN complete with helpful smiles and bicycles to explore this fine city. Parking was a breeze in their side lot and the knowledge of why this fine Inn's beginning made it an extra special two nights!
5 on August 30, 2012
I've stayed at the St. Francis Inn before and have no complaints. The staff is amazing, very helpful and every need you might have is already thought of and taken care for you. The rooms are "seasoned" like every aspect of downtown St. Augustine and this makes the stay even more charming. The food is very tasty, along with social hour, dessert hour, and the availability of snacks/tea/coffee throughout the day. There are bikes to borrow and ride around town, games and movies to borrow, sherry in the rooms, and free access to the beach. If you have anything to complain about, then you are looking too hard! I recommend this B&B to everyone I know just because I feel at home when I stay there. There aren't any pest issues or noise complaints, and there is even ample parking. I visit St. Augustine at least once a year and never have the need to stay anywhere else :D

My family had a wonderful stay at the St. Francis Inn. We booked 4 rooms for family and friends attending our son's wedding in August 2012. The service, food, and staff were undeniably the best in the business. Attention to detail and all the comforts of home, never missing a beat. I would suggest you use caution in the room selection, which varied quite a bit. We stayed in the very lovely Elizabeth Suite which had plenty of room. Some of the rooms that our party chose were extremely small. One in particular was so small and so musty smelling that I requested my mother be moved. I upgraded the room to a much newer, larger room across the street, which was lovely! Although they were extremely accommodating I don't feel the original room was acceptable to rent at all. Maybe a little updating and change of carpet would alleviate the musty odor. Bottom line - wonderful stay, great value, but word of caution on room selection.

A special bottle of Champagne and a Birthday card awaited us as we entered our room upon check-in. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was very pleasant and smelled nice. We absolutely loved the Sherry that awaited us every evening on our coffee table. Yum!! The food was delish from the Breakfast to the evening desserts (what a nice ending to each day). We will recommend it to others.

We had a very nicely updated room in a old historic home with lots of character - all within easy walking distance of old town St. Augustine. The breakfasts were amazing and the early evening snack (with beer and wine included) was a great way to wind down after a day of sightseeing. The flask of sherry in the room was a nice touch too. We would definitely recommend this B&B.

WE LOVED IT! Staff, food, location - all were top notch. It would be nice to have some way to hang clothing (at least in the Ballerina room. not sure about other rooms) - even if it is a hook & hanger on the back of the door. We truely felt at home. Fabulous breakfasts, evening desserts, and a nice happy hour. We'll be back! Greg & Lee Lotz

The place was beautiful, clean, and homey. Fantastic location; in down town but not on a busy street. The staff was extremely warm, friendly and helpful with questions. The complimentary breakfast and dessert were delicous. I wish it was a little cheaper so that it might become a more frequent stay, but it is still definitley worth the money.

We found this B&B online. We had never stayed at a B&B before. This was a wonderful experience. Great service, wonderful breakfast, cozy and clean room. We loved having the use of the bikes. It's a perfect area to bike a short ride to downtown. Would definitely return to this B&B!

Great area! Old rooms very old. The breakfast was great! But the service was not great. It was sad that on social hour the wine bottle were empty and no one was there to make sure the area was replenish same applies to breakfast. We were there at least 30 minutes after social and breakfast began. If service improves ST Francis would be worth the stay and money spent.

My boyfriend and I were recently talking about how wonderful it would be to stay at a bed & breakfast downtown Saint Augustine. Originally, we planned on picking a different location until I stumbled across an ad for the Saint Francis in on the computer. As soon as we saw "haunted bed and breakfast"; We knew we would be staying here. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff members who seemed more than overjoyed; Which was lovely. When we got to our room we were amazed at how beautiful it really was. It looked almost completely different than the pictures we saw online; But in a good way. One of the many things that grabbed our attention was the welcome letter. Plus, the complimentary wine, food and bicycles were absolutely perfect! We had just expected one free meal at breakfast but as the day progressed we grew to love the place even more. The free movie selections were also great, the food was delicious! The history of the place is also very interesting as well; Including the story of the cute little grey cat, Zeke. We promised each other that we would come back again and stay in every room. We even joked about asking the staff if we could live there! haha. We will definitely be staying again. :)

When I booked a getaway at the St. Francis Inn in St. Augustine I really thought the amenities listed on the website (complimentary with your reservation), were too good to be true -- but they WERE true! I was blown away by the "bend over backward" service by the staff, wonderful breakfast and evening beverages and snacks, comfortable and charming room and grounds, and last but not least -- complimentary use of Huffy Cruiser bikes! The St. Francis Inn will ALWAYS be my "go to" place in St. Augustine!

Very welcoming staff who made us feel at home immediately and informed us of St Augustine's things to see and do; restaurant recommendations very helpful. Food was delicious: their daily Social Hour with appetizers, homemade desserts later in the evening, and wonderful breakfasts in the mornings. The Overlook Room was charming and very comfortable, although a bit pricey; it was worth it to stay right in the historic area and be able to walk to many attractions, shops, pubs, and restaurants. Also, the St. Francis is located so near to the sightseeing trolley that we used it on multiple days to get around. Unfortunately, didn't have enough time to borrow bicycles to get around or to go out to their private beach area. Would love to go back!

We did have a confusion over something on the webpage that appeared complimentary. The staff took care of everything to our satisfaction. I do hope they will look into repairing the part of the webpage that caused the confusion as I would not want it to hinder anyone else's enjoyment of St. Francis Inn. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay there. Thank you.

We decided on St. Augustine for a relaxing/romantic three days and we couldn't have been more pleased with the St. Francis Inn. We have stayed in many B& B's and St. Francis by far has been the best. The most amazing and pampering staff. Refreshments and a friendly face all day long. All the ladies at the Inn go aboove and beyond to make you feel welcomed and help with even RAINY day advise! Convieninety located right near the water, downtown and right next to a trolly stop, Food was amazing and the Dummett room is beautiful. Thank you again.

My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend in St. Augustine at the St. Francis Inn. The Inn is located downtown within walking distance of everything. The staff is wonderful and cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We really loved the beach access the Inn has set up. They own a beach cottage (as well as a house and bungalow) where you can park and walk to the beach (which is just yards away). They provide towels, chairs and access to a full bathroom including shower. Complimentary bottled water is also available. We have already booked our return trip for December so we can see the town decorated for Christmas. Kevin & Colleen Gould Alachua, Florida

Everything was wonderful from the welcoming staff to the delicious food prepared at each social event throughout the day. I always love coming here, and I will continue to do so.

This was our second visit to St. Francis and we are already planning our next visit. This is a very nice Inn that offers many room choices. So far we have stayed in two rooms and liked them both very much. The large beds and Jacuzzi tubs are very nice additions. They offer an amazing breakfast each morning and a nice social hour and end the evening off with deserts that are very tasty. The staff is always very helpful and courteous, especially Heather who kindly assisted us with many questions about local places to eat at and visit. One of the hidden perks is that the inn is far enough from the rustle and bustle of the downtown area that it is quiet, but it is close enough that a short walk gets you to anywhere. The St. Francis also has free onsite parking, which was one of the original reasons we chose this Inn over others nearby, that coupled with the other amenities, such as free bikes, the breakfasts, social hour, deserts, a beach house that is fee to park at, and many others I can’t remember off hand, this B&B is the best value in St. Augustine.
5 on June 12, 2012
We had a 3 night stay at the St Francis. Everything was wonderful. A step back in time with all the conveniences. It was our first visit to St Augustine and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful while we were planning our daily itinerary. We will stay again if in the St. Augustine area.

Let me start by saying "we are not usually B+B types, we usually stay in hotels". However, as we were looking for something to do over the Memorial Day weekend, we received an email from "VisitFlorida" and the St. Francis Inn was displayed. After some research, we decided to book the weekend. Overall, the experience was excellent. The staff member at check-in was amazing. The room was very nice and the amenities included in the room rate made the rate well worth the value if one really takes advantage of all of it. The location was a reasonable walk to the Historic section of Saint Augustine and there are many restaurants and things to do in that area. There are a couple of very minor points worth noting. The other staff members we encountered, while good at their jobs and very professional, were not as warm as the person at check-in. Also, they did not seem to take overly seriously the oncoming tropical storm. Being Floridians and watching the forecasts, we checked out one day early (on our dime, which I expected and understood) to avoid the storm. This was a "tough" decision on their part as they had to weigh up the risks of causing undue concern vs safety. Saying that, the lack of concern for the oncoming storm did match most of the folks downtown that same day as we did a few things before leaving the area). Overall, if one likes the B+B experience, this place is one we suggest.

We will be returning to this place, the staff could not do enough for us and all the other guests. On a quiet street but still very close toall in the historical district. The rooms are beautiful and all have their own twist on comfort. The off street parking was a bonus plus the trolley bus stops just around the corner so the car stayed in the car park the entire time we were there. We cannot wait to return to this Gem on a quiet street. Dick & Mary from Fort Lauderdale.

Booked after viewing website. Service & food was better than expected. Environment was peaceful and quiet at night. Very convenient location. Walked to most points of interest. Our only complaint is that the mattress was not comfortable. Would have stayed a third night but could not tolerate another night of restless sleep.
We want to thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us. We are glad you enjoyed the service and the food so much! We are sorry the mattress was uncomfortable. As we have discussed through our email correspondence, a new one has been ordered and we will be replacing it immediately. Thanks again for taking the time to submit your review.

We just stayed two nights and I was wishing we could stay more. We definitely will stay there again if we're ever in the area. The people who worked there were SO kind and helpful. She seemed happy to offer their service and truly want you to have a great experience. The various food and beverage services were my favorite feature. You won't go hungry there! The building itself is so charming and has all the amenities you need. I loved the patio and balcony with swings

Positives: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at St. Francis Inn! We reserved a third floor room which was immaculately clean. The bed was large and very comfortable. The Inn is situated just outside all the major hustle and bustle of the tourist activity but an easy walk to everything you want to see in Old St. Augustine. If walking is a problem for you, you can buy tickets and go just around the corner to the Oldest House Museum and catch the trolley which will take you to every point of interest in the historic district. The happy hour and evening dessert times were pleasant additions to the already great service. Breakfast was delicious each morning! The private parking area was a plus. We liked the fact that they also provided parking at the beach, along with chairs, towels, and water, if we had chosen to access it. Negatives - Since it is an OLD building there is some noise factor ...creaks from the staircase and doors opening and closing as other guests return late and outside street noise (horse and carriages, street sweepers, etc...), which can disrupt your sleep if you are a light sleeper. The large tub/shower in our room had no handrail and you had to step high to get in (which can be a hazard for some who have back or hip problems or are elderly). Also, the shower water temperature fluctuated from very hot to very cold - not conducive to leg shaving, girls! Ha! Bottonline: St. Francis is a lovely old Inn with excellent service and a great location and we would return for another stay as well as recommend it to others. Lisa and Nate -Jesup, GA.

First time at a B & B. The room was adorable, bed comfy and cozy. Loved the little touches, mints on the pillow, sherry in the room, fireplace.Stayed in the "Courtyard". Very quiet. Only down side was the people in the room above were constantly walking back and forth. Loved the social hour with wine, beer and snacks. Even my boyfriend who is not big on socializing met 2 couples from his home town and had some nice conversation. Had a nice waffle breakfast and great cappucino coffee. Would highly recommend it

The St. Francis Inn was charming and quiet. It is in historic downtown, but is at the other end of St. Georges Street from the bars and loud noise. Everything is within a short walk. The staff was outstanding and it was the most relaxing vacation I have had in a long time. Highly recommend you stay here if possible. I definately will be back.

We have stayed 3-4 times at Saint Francis. Each visit has been a grand experience. The staff makes sure your visit is memorable one. They take Well all the details and the lodging and food is excellent! Saint Francis Inn was our first B&B that we ever stayed. And, over the last 15 years we're still measure all other B&B Inns to Saint Francis! Jeff and Carol Jones

This is an exceptional B&B with fantastic amenities; good food, nice location, even the pull-out couch mattress was great!

We Stay here annually, and although it ia a bit pricey, we have found it to be the best B&B for ambience and amenities.

Location, people, food and accommodations were first class and comfortable. I particularly liked having lunch, (from a locale cafe) on our "private porch" outside our room.

The staff was outstanding, the inn was charming, and the value was unmatched. I can't wait to go back to the St Francis Inn again! We absolutely loved it.

We were not disappointed at all with our stay at the St Francis Inn. Built in 1791, it's old, and that lends to the charm. The Innkeeping staff were great, I can only rave, about the room, the service and the amenties. After walking and driving through town, I did not see another Inn that looked nearly as quaint or remote. What's important for St Augustine? Parking, discounts, quiet, location (near trolley stop) and the St Francis has it all.

From the moment we entered St. Francis Inn, we were made to feel welcomed and at home. The Inn was clean and inviting; the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in Elizabeth's Suite and thoroughly enjoyed the extra space to relax, read and watch TV. The bed was very comfortable. The Inn is located within walking distance of just about everything, which is a real plus. We have enjoyed staying in B & Bs whenever a suitable one has been located in our travel area. St. Francis Inn rates as one of the best regarding breakfast selections, availability of snacks and desserts - good value for the price of the room.

The Beach Cottage provided a great place to rendezvous with our two adult sons. We used many amenities, including the WiFi, full size fridge in the kitchen, and jacuzzi bathtub. We enjoyed the breakfast at the main inn and got a recommendation for a French Restaurant in town where we had a delicious meal.

We stayed for a long anniversary weekend and just loved it! I could not get over how comfortable we felt. A big plus for us was how helpful the staff was and this B&B is a "green" B&B, which was so very appreciated.

Me and my husband just returned from a first time stay at The St Francis Inn. From the time we walked in until the time we left, we felt so welcomed and everyone was so friendly. We purchased the Romance package with our room and everything was wonderful! The dinner that was included was absolutley fabulous. We are already planning more trips to this inn. Definetly worth every penny!!!!

My stay at the St. Francis was a great experience. From the detailed directions I was given on the phone while approaching the Inn on my day of arrival, to the friendly staff and the exquisite meals prepared! The St. Francis and all of their staff are a Class Act. It is a great location because it is an easy walk to the historic district, but far enough away so you don't feel like you are packed in with all the tourists. I was at first, taken back, when the staff called me by my first name my first day at the Inn. I had to turn around to see who knew my name. They really take the time and effort to make you feel right at home. I would highly recommend the St. Francis for your next stay in St. Augustine!

The purpose for our visit was to explore St. Augustine. My husband had business there on Friday 2/10, we extended our stay to learn about the history of the city. We are from the west coast of Florida. The location of St. Francis Inn is excellent for walking or biking the town, we did not move our vehicle the entire weekend. The grounds are very attractive and well maintained. The dining room was well maintained, food excellent and kitchen staff accommodating and friendly. The front desk though busy, handled everything efficiently. The Courtyard Room would be the only drawback of the trip. In the bathroom the tub and commode are extremely close together. The size of the bathroom could be a problem for some folks. Over flow towels are placed on the back of the commode. There is no shelving outside of the shower for toiletries. The sink is located outside the bathroom near the queen bed. The only usable mirror in the room is above the sink, I am 5'2' it was a stretch for me. The other mirror was located in the back of the wardrobe but you had to hang your clothing in front of it. The glass tables in the room were sparkling but the wood front of the bathroom sink was extremely dusty as were the blinds and baseboards.
We want to apologize again for the issues you experienced in the Courtyard Room during your recent visit. As we stated in the letter we sent you (shortly after your departure) which included a Gift Certificate to use toward a future visit: we have purchased additional towel bars and a shelf for the restroom and have hung an antique mirror (lower)in the bedroom. We very much appreciated all of your suggestions and are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience.

The history of this 1791 home is amazing. The service was more than outstanding. We felt like we didn't pay enough for all that we received from this inn. The rooms were clean and cozy. You will get a different breakfast each day of your stay. Social hour includes drinks and appetizers. The dining room is so comfortable that you will feel at ease sharing your time with every visitor. To top that, dessert is served every night and it is delicious. The inn has bikes available for use to ride around this quaint historic town. The inn is within walking distance of downtown. Every person bent over backwards to make sure everyone who stays there is happy. We also got free tickets to the lighthouse.

Great place to stay if you enjoy the antique look and historic areas. I enjoyed my stay at St Francis Inn B&B. The food was great. The staff was very friendly and respectful. Rooms were clean and well kept even though the Inn is historic (built 1791). Amenities for guest went well beyond what I expected. A jewel...

My wife and I stayed at the St. Francis on a recent weekend and were overwhelmed by the service, the food and the staff's friendliness. Our only regret was we were unable to stay longer and you can be sure we will be back. The rooms were appointed with fine antique furniture, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the whirlpool bath and all the modern conveniences. Having wifi in our room was great along with the flat screen televisions hooked to cable. Even the towels and linens spoke of excellence and quality. We highly recommend the St. Francis Bed & Breakfast.

We spent one night at the St. Francis Inn between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The Christmas lights were still up and St. Augustine was in the midst of the holiday season. The St. Francis Inn was decorated in holiday splendor. The front desk staff was highly professional and accommodating. They made us feel like special. They answered our questions, offered suggestions, and set the tone for what turned out to be an outstanding stay.

My fiance and I only stayed two nights and we were sad to leave when our time was up. The management was very kind and helpful. The food was better than any hotel or bed in breakfast I've been to. You can rent bikes free of charge to travel which is almost a necessity when traveling around the historic sites. It was a beautiful place and an incredible experience, and I can't wait to go back!

I surprised my boyfriend with a weekend at St. Francis Inn for his birthday. I reservered Maria's Room and also purchased the Inn's Sweatheart Fanatsy Package - which is worth every penny! - They helped me make sure every little detail was perfect from what time I wanted breakfast in bed to dinner reservations at the AMAZING restaurant that is included in the sweartheart package. Everyone was so friendly, like they had known us for years. The food was awesome from breakfast in bed to the dessert social in the evening. Our room was so romantic and cozy. The Inn is perfect all the way around. We will definately be back!!!

My husband and I spent a wonderful long weekend with another couple to celebrate the holidays and enjoy the beautiful lights of St. Augustine. Although we've been to this historic and magical city before, this was our first time for the Nights of Lights. We didn't want the weekend to end. The staff at St. Francis was incredibly friendly. The food and daily social hour was absolutely fantastic. Everything about our visit made it all the harder to leave. A special thank you to everyone at St. Francis Inn. We are recommending you to our friends.

Took my grandson to St. Augustine for pre Christmas gift and stayed at St. Francis Inn in the Garden Hideaway. Very pleased with all the food and refreshments. The Inn is lovely and we were made to feel very comfortable and welcomed. Was impressed they took the time to know each guests names. I was a bit disappointed in the Garden Hideaway for the price of the room. Other rooms we saw while exploring the second floor were very nice and rates were well worth them. Will certainly stay at St. Francis Inn again on my next visit in April but not in the same room.

We loved the Inn. The people were great and the added food options were a pleasant change. Drinks (coffee, tea, hot choc.,sodas and iced water) were available 24/7. Then there were hors duevers before we would leave for dinner and dessert when we returned to the Inn. The breakfasts were great also and the options to eat in the dining room, out on the patio or in your room was a welcome change. The room was nicely appointed and a good size. The bathroom was very comfortable, especially the Jacuzzi tub. Our only complaint would be the bed. It was an antique four poster (very attractive). The mattress was a very nice pillow top BUT there was no support for this mattress and it sagged terribly AND the noise made by the bed whenever one of us turned or got out of bed was alarming. Every night, I thought it would be better as we adjusted to a strange bed, BUT it only seemed to get worse. So as much as we enjoyed our stay, we couldn't wait to get home to our own bed.

The St. Francis Inn met and exceeded our expectations. We have stayed at other B&B's in St. Augustine and the St. Francis is the best one to date. The breakfast buffet on Sunday morning along, with Mimosas and Bloody Mary's, was a wonderful experience. We were going to miss the evening dessert and asked them to save us apiece of cake they were kind enough to leave it in our room. What service. If you get the munchies there are snacks in the office that you have access to along with sodas, bottled water, tea and coffee. It is well worth the price of the room and we do plan on returning the next time we are in St. Augustine. This is definitely a five star B&B.

My wife and I just recently returned from a weekend visit to our FAVORITE Bed and Breakfast, the St. Francis Inn! This was our 7th time staying at St. Francis, and as always, everything was fantastic. The staff, Kelly, Bev, Adele, et. al, are all so friendly and accommodating. When we noticed that the breakfast menu had changed, and that the seasonal pancakes were now served on Wednesday instead of Saturday, I was a little disappointed. However, on Sunday morning, when I said "good morning" to the staff as we came down for breakfast, what did I see being brought to our table? It was Janice, with a platter of pumpkin pancakes!! (Yum!) If you want a nice, quiet, bed and breakfast in St. Augustine that is close (walking distance) to the historic district without being in the middle of it all, definitely stay at the St. Francis Inn.

My daughter and I stayed in the Elizabeth Suite. The suite was very comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. The inn and the guest rooms were decorated for Christmas giving it a very homey, personal feel. The outside grounds were also nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and lights. We will definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

The St. Francis Inn is the oldest (1790's) Inn in the oldest city in the U.S, how appropriate! The Inn is very cozy, well decorated (especially for Christmas), with lovely courtyards! what atmosphere! the extras are truly extra - great breakfast, free happy hour (ith wine and beer and great home made snacks), desert hour late in the evening, free bicycles, movies, DVDs, you name it. The rooms are small, but comfy. a great place to stay!

For my Fiance's 35th Birthday, I made reservations to stay at St.Francis Inn. I chose the "Romance Package" for his special weekend. Keeping this a secret from him was a very trying task. The staff at St. Francis - BLESS THEM! They went above and beyond to help me keep it a secret and to have everything ready when we arrived. For 2 weeks, I planned. By phone and by email, the staff at St. Francis made it the most memorable experience the both of us have ever had together. By the time the planning and details were done, the staff and I were on a first name basis with each other. Again, Bless them for all the effort and hard work they put in. When we checked in, they also knew my Fiance's first name due to all the planning. Some winked and said "Oh, so YOU are the Birthday Boy!" It was as if the entire staff knew the both of us. They are so very gracious and personable. They greet you as if you're family. The ambiance of the St. Francis Inn is unlike anything we had ever experienced. It's taking a step back in time. Absolutely beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Beverly led us to our room on the 3rd floor. Waiting for my Fiance' was a Birthday cake I asked them to make for him, alongside a chilled bucket of wine with two lovely glasses, flowers - and the letter I had emailed to them written from me to my Fiance'. They typed it up and had it sitting next to the roses. IT. WAS. PERFECT. I am so grateful to the staff at St. Francis for all they did for us. The food, the staff, the gorgeous rooms - St. Francis is THEE place to stay when in St. Augustine. My Fiance' and I have been together for almost 14 years now. In our magical weekend staying at St. Francis - we fell in love with each other all over again. There is so much more I can say, but to sum this up - because of our time spent at St. Francis, we know in our hearts this is the place two soul-mates were meant to become one... and so we have decided we will be getting married at the St. Francis Inn.

Stayed in the Overlook Room. Nice and cozy but a little strange to have the bathtub in the corner of the bedroom as well as the sink in the room. Social hour was nice but the selection of food served was just a veggie tray and some hummus. Breakfast on Thanksgiving morning was fine. Good selection of items. Think we may have had a visit from the ghost of "Lilly" as our clock radio went off at midnight!!! No explanation but fun to think that it was a visitor.

My wife and I stayed at theInn at Camachee Cove which is part of the St. Francis Inn. We found the place to be very relaxing since we were overlooking the water on the Marina. The best part was that we were close enough to enjoy Downtown St. Augustine but far away enough to be away from all the crowds. We have recommended it already to our friends and will definitely go back again. Furthermore, we have recommended BedandBreakfast.com as well.

This was the first time we stayed in St. Augustine and we couldn't have picked a better B&B. We stayed 3 weeknights in October in the Balcony Room - spacious with a balcony on 2 sides. The whirlpool tub in the middle of the room was fantastic. We really enjoyed the variety of foods at breakfast, which is a "serve yourself" and then you can eat in the large dining room, in the courtyard or in your room. I'm a vegetarian and could find something to eat every day - and all fresh! Zeke the cat met us every morning as we headed out on our walking excursions - everything is close (Flagler College, Oldest House, Old City area, restaurants, the Fort, etc. The innkeepers suggested local places to eat and they were spot on! They also gave us great tips on what to do while we were there. There are a lot of inns in the area, but the St. Francis has ample parking - something the other inns don't have. We will be back. We have more exploring to do!

My husband and I went to St. Augustine on a spontaneous whim as we had not had the opportunity to celebrate our anniversary. St. Francis Inn was recommended by a good friend- whom I cannot thank enough!!! We had a separate entrance to a courtyard room that was perfect- bikes to ride, swimming, separate beach access, delicious breakfast with strawberry "soup" to die for... but it did not stop there. Everyone was so thoughtful and kind .. Carolyn ensured we had every need met... we have stayed at many hotels over the years- but this was by far our most romantic and memorable stay. The only complaint? They asked us to stay another night.. and we had to leave too soon. Trust me.. we will be back.. sooner rather than later if it's up to me!! If you are looking for a private, quiet getaway... this is it!! Thank you for our wonderful visit to St. Augustine- The Pages- stayed 8/11

We stayed at the St. Francis and found the location and hospitality to be great, but the mattress had well worn wells in it and the pull out sofa rolled everything to the center. After a night of holding on to the side to not roll to the middle, I needed my chiropractor, and wanted to go home.
Please contact me directly; I want to fix this problem. I am very sorry you were uncomfortable. I haven't had any other complaints, so I am at a loss as to which mattresses to replace. I would also like to make this up to you! You seemed to enjoy your stay overall, and I'd like you to come back and enjoy a good night's sleep! Please contact me by email - the email address appears just under the pictures above.

My husband and I took a mini vacation to St. Augustine and we were having a very difficult time getting a room for one night. We drove up to the hotel and I went inside to check vacancy. Adele was at the front desk and she was so pleasant and informative. She helped us make reservations for dinner and helped us with anything that we needed. I will be going back to this B&B in the future. We stayed at a 4 star resort the next evening and we missed being at the St. Augustine Inn. We stayed in the Garcia Suite, it was worth the extra money that we put towards it. I really cannot say how much my husband and I enjoyed our one year anniversary, they made it so special for us. Thank you so much Adele for being so lovely! Mr. and Mrs. Pierce

From the minute I walked in the door I fell in love with the St Francis. The ambiance & warmth in this old building are amazing & you can't miss the positive energy all around you. The staff truly make one feel as if they are really glad you're there & want you to enjoy your stay & they make it clear they will do anything to make that happen for you. The service & friendliness were exceptional. There are countless extras & bonuses for guests included in your tariff, discounts at area businesses etc. The food served was fresh, delectable & plentiful. We stayed in the lovely Ballerina Room which was perfectly situated for privacy & quiet, we loved it. The bed was more comfortable than our own! The free parking is a gift in St Augustine!-we parked our car when we got there & didn't move it till we left, you can walk everywhere from this inn. There is nothing I would change about our stay at the St Francis other than making it longer! Be sure to spend some time sitting in the lush courtyard, day or night, it's peaceful & lovely. We will go back & I can't wait to get there-this place is special.

Love the Nightly Sangria and Cheese! Will be going back very soon! I would not recommend this place in June because thats when I would like to be going back and would love the availablity!

I would love to give the St. Francis Inn a 5 star review but I cannot. Our stay in the Marie Room was NOT acceptable. We were not notified that this room is located on the other side of the Inn’s kitchen. We woke up every morning before 6am to pots and pans clanging, and cabinets slamming. When my husband and I would return for a midday nap – the noise continued. The clatter rattled into the LATE evening each of the 3 days we were there. It was insufferable. Not to mention the bed was extremely stiff, and hard to sleep or relax on. As the Inn was completely booked, I saw no point in asking for another room to be moved to. This made me feel very sad, as the staff ladies were all sweet as pie – save one. The lady in question was terse with my husband when he complained that neither the phone nor the fireplace in our room were working. What’s worse is when a tire on a bike we borrowed from the Inn was needing to be changed – a nice repair gentleman there offered to fix it for us, and while he was doing so – this same lady rudely interrupted his fixing of the bike and conversation with us, to say “Here is your work order for that” and look at us irritated. I am sure the paperwork could have been handed to him at a more appropriate time. She made asking for assistance awkward and unwelcome. All in all, I am disappointed in the St. Francis Inn, as there was so much ambiance and culinary things to love. I think that people get swept away by the ‘uniqueness’ of a B&B and feel bad about commenting on things that might damage the reputation of the Inn. But if it were a hotel……. A stiff bed, constant racket, and a rude staff member would be badly rated – would it not? I would like to go back to the Inn personally – and stay in another room – as it IS a beautiful property, ideally located, offering delicious food & complimentary spirits, and most of the staff truly were welcoming. I would recommend the Inn to travelers – only do NOT stay in the Marie room!!

My son and I came to St. Augustine to visit Flagler College. We really enjoyed our stay at the St. Francis Inn! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was delicious! The social hour and and late night desserts were my son's favorite. We stayed in the Elizabeth Suite and were very happy with everything! I can't wait to come back and visit again! Barbara & Zachary

This was our second visit to the St. Francis. It really is an outstanding value and a wonderful romantic getaway. Add one of the many package deals to your reservation - you won't be disappointed. Unlike most B & Bs where you only get B & B, here you also get a social hour in the afternoon with wonderful snacks and beer and wine and a sweet dessert time later in the evening. The staff is always pleasant and patient and will accommodate any request. Historic old St. Augustine is a short stroll away with wonderful restaurants and lovely old architecture. We plan to visit at least once a year!

Hi my name is Sonny, I got to go on vacation with my Grandma, Mom, and Sister. Just so you know I am of the four legged variety, some say I am a dog...but I think not! I was a little nervous when I first arrived at St Francis Inn but not for long. The staff and other guest treated me just like family they gave me treats, pats on the head and nice chats. The two story Cottage that me and my family stayed in was perfect, we had our own entrance so my family could take me out whenever I needed to without disturbing the other guests, a pull out bed downstairs so my Mommy could stay with me (I am too old to climb stairs) and a lovely courtyard that my family had breakfast and snacks at and I got to join them! The inn is located right by a really nice park and if you go down the street a little there is a really nice pond that my Mommy walked me around. I liked that a lot! My family really liked walking around St Augustine, they said it was really nice and they felt safe...they said you can walk everywhere and see everything but the trolley is fun also. My Mom said that we will come back to visit, I can't wait!

we enjoyed our stay at the St. Francis. it's in a quiet part of historic St. Augustine. the food was fabulous! breakfast, wine and appetizers and dessert and coffee...all complimentary. the fact that the Inn has parking was a plus in that narrow section of downtown.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to spend our wedding Anniversary. The Courtyard room was very quaint and clean; the food was above our expectations. What a wonderful idea to have a Social hour, it was a great way to meet other people who were staying at the Inn and the employee's were always there to answer any questions. Everything about St. Francis Bed & Breakfast was exceptional and we most certainly stay there the next time we visit St. Augustine.

My wife and I recently stayed here in August and it was a great experience. The staff went out of their way to help us and the morning breakfast was nice. We really loved the history of the Inn and the location in regards to St. George Street. We also took advantage of the Beach Cottage and the swimming pool! We will be back for another stay guaranteed !!!

Me, my mom and sister had a great time staying in the Saffron's suite. It has a lot of room and super clean. It is so relaxing to sit on your own front porch and watch the horse and carriage go by. The Inn is just across a cobble stone one way street. The Chef made my mom a outstanding birthday cake. Very quaint!! Love the St. Francis Inn!!

My husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, Westie (dog), and I stayed at the Beach-House on Sat & Sun, July 10-11, 2010. The Beach-House was very large - 2 floors; 2 bedrooms each with a bath; 1 bedroom with a queen bed; 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds; a sundeck with outside stairs; inside a wrought iron spiral staircase down to first floor; first floor had a living room with a pull-out sofa bed, a fireplace, & cathedral ceiling & lots of light, kitchen, bath, washer & dryer, iron & ironing board. Very pretty & romantic. House was 1 house back from the beach. Great location - quiet and relaxed. And beach and house are dog-friendly! A few blocks away were a Caribbean restaurant, Jack's barbecue restaurant, and a taco restaurant. A good Italian restaurant, Verrazano's, delivers pizza & other food. The beds were very comfortable, even for Mom who's in her 80's. We only went to 1 breakfast - at the downtown Inn on Sunday but it was wonderful - lots of variety and homemade goodies, plenty of choices to please all ages. We were in St. Augustine for a family wedding, so didn't really have time to check out the sights but it looked like there was lots to see and do. Even our dog had a great time! Our only regret was not having enough time to stay longer & have more breakfasts, social hours & dessert hours there!

Wonderful place to step back into time! Our 2 rooms were beautiful. One was in the main house and the other across the narrow street. The food was wonderful, the patio was so peaceful, having several tables with chairs. It was filled with calming plants and flowers and a goldfish pond. We were 4 blocks from the waterfront and 2 great restaurants The service was superb. We were delighted with every person we dealt with at all levels. Lind curtious and eager to help. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I am not sure where to start. The Inn is on a quite street just blocks away (walking distance) to the hustle and bustle of Historic Downtown St Augustine. We were able to walk everywhere to explore and not worry about finding parking. Secondly, the access to beach parking, beach chairs, bottled water, and a bathroom just steps away from the beach was priceless. We were able to explore historic downtown and relax on the beach without having to stress out about parking, etc. They really do think of everything in terms of amenities. The food served at the Inn is savory. I have nothing negative to say about this Inn, its staff, food, or amenities. We would go back there in a heartbeat, and i can't wait to refer people to the Inn to enjoy everything we did.

My hubby and I spent a Friday and Saturday night (May 21-23,2010) in Marie's room at the St Francis Inn. The room is centrally located - right beside the lobby, kitchen, and pool and has an entrance that opens to the courtyard. I loved our stay here. The employees were so friendly and the amenities are far superior to any hotel I have stayed at. I am used to being nickeled and dimed to death, not so here! Wonderful breakfast, delightful social hour with complimentary adult drinks, and even a nighttime dessert! I can't forget the free bikes to ride and towels already on the poolside furniture. And in the lobby there are plenty of drinks to sip on - coffee, flavored water, tea - and even some fruit at the receptionists desk. I can't complain about anything significiant except one little detail - the showerhead in the bathroom in Marie's room is very short. It is probably installed at about 5'6 level and I am 5'8 and hubby 6'4 so you can imagine the dipping we had to do to get hair washed :) It is a small one person shower just so you know. The biggest compliment from me aside from the long list of amenitites and fab food, would have to be that it is a bit from the "main action" of historic St Augustine so the nights are very quiet and peaceful. I have friends who have stayed right in the middle of that section and had miserable nights. Much better to ride over to it on the bikes or pay under 20 a person from Ripley to ride their train around, the pick-up is right down the sidewalk from the Inn. We had a great stay and recc. it to anyone!

We just stayed at The St. Francis Inn for the second time. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Very quaint, quiet, comfortable. The staff is fantastic (Bev was absolutely cracking us up!). Very comfortable beds with nice linens. Absolutely LOVE the age of the building -- creaky floors, slightly slanted stairways, doors that don't quite meet the frame. If you love old architecture and history, this is the place to stay!

Outstanding B&B. Except for stairs (we were on 3rd floor!!) it was very nice. Staff helped carry up luggage so it wasn't really so bad. Next time we'll reserve larger room..."Lily" is a little small but adequate for our short stay (2 days-3 nights) & very late reservations. Did not have a "gourmet breakfast" as advertised, but again it was adequate - not outstanding & certainly not "gourmet". Fun evenings with wine & munchies & great desserts later. Very nice. Overall we enjoyed our experience.

It's hard to put into words about the level of comfort and hospitality we have recieved on our visits to the St. Francis Inn. If you are the type of person who enjoys the ultra modern 5-star accomodations, its not for you. However, if you are looking a relaxing, no worries, no schedule, trip to grandma's house type vacation, then you have found it! We discovered the inn about three years ago while visiting family in Florida, and have visited the inn 6 or 7 times since. We love the Balcony Room. The food is great, and we really enjoy social hour in the evenings. The staff is wonderful. They do an excellent job of making us feel like we are part of the family. WE LOVE IT!! Our stay at St.Francis was Heaven sent. We found a location with courteous and professional staff members who would soon become like family. They couldn't do enough for us. The charm of a historic property, along with the gourmet breakfasts, evening happy hours and late evening desserts and coffee was more than we had expected. We plan to make a stay at the St. Francis Inn at least an annual event. Elbert & Sheila Murphy

My boyfriend and I found St. Francis on the web and booked a room. I was excited because my boyfriend loves to Sail and we would get a free schooner romantic ride with the room. I was then disappointed when they advised they were not running the week we were there - The Inn graciously had Champagne a Birthday welcome note and a free carriage ride instead. I was absolutely thrilled!! When we got there, it looked exactly like the pictures. Everyone was so helpful, kind and wonderful to wish me a Happy Birthday - The breakfast was adequate and met our needs. It was so wonderful and private in the Garden Hideaway - Everything truly is within walkin distance, we enjoyed our surroundings, and we really enjoyed getting in our private Jacuzzi after a long day of walking on our feet - It was by far the best Birthday I have ever had, and the ambiance and people of the Inn made it that much more enjoyable. I would absoluetely reccomend the Inn and have already to my Family and Friends.

We so enjoyed our 3 day celebration in such a beautiful bed & breakfast. We stayed in the Garcia Suite and found it to be roomy and very beautiful. The bed in particular was very comfortable which helped greatly since I tend to have a really bad back. We hope to be able to bring our teenagers the next time because St. Augustine offers alot to any age group. We parked our vehicle on Thursday and didn't get back in it until Sunday when we left.

My fiance' and I spent 3 days at the St Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast in early October. We had been to St Augustine several times, but this was our first stay in a Bed and Breakfast. Everything about our stay was perfect. Our room was across the street in the Wilson House. The room was bright and charming. We especially enjoyed having an evening cocktail on our back porch. The entire staff was so helpful. Caroly's cooking was delicious! We will be recommending the St Francis to all of our family and hope to return again soon!

We travel quite often and primarily stay at B&B's. We recently stayed at this inn and found it to be probably the BEST that we have ever stayed at. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially our new friend, chef Gary. The room and grounds were beautiful. The food was incredible, with many different options. We just loved the granola and that homemade strawberry jam! We'll be back.

We stayed in Elizabeth's suite the weekend of Nov 6th. We were disappointed. While we loved the grounds and the staff, we found the room below what we had hoped for. We were traveling with our adult daughter and the pull out couch was so uncomfortable. She said it was the worst 2 nites sleep she can remember having in a hotel. The rugs were in great need of cleaning. While I adore the old charm the room needs to be updated. We were also a bit disappointed with the food or lack of it when we came to breakfast. I think you would want to know how we felt.

The Beach House was one of the best B&B locations we have ever visited and included the sumptious breakfast and other amenities that the historical inn offers - the best of both worlds. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and hospitable.

We recently stayed at the St. Francis Inn for a weekend getaway and I will never stay anywhere else on future visits to St. Augustine! It is a perfect location and the off street parking is such an added bonus!!! They have wonderful accommodations, beautiful ambience, great amenities and an absolutely wonderful and friendly staff who even took the time to research a specific store on their computer for us and put the coffee on extra early for us one of the mornings! We all felt so relaxed and comfortable. It was a perfect weekend and a perfect place!!

I have stayed at the St. Francis Inn three times now. Frankly, I could not imagine visiting this historic city without staying there. To me, the St. Francis Inn and St. Augustine go hand in hand... one inextricably connected to the other. The inn itself is of historical significance and has charming rooms of varying descriptions. I like to try a different room each time I visit. To visit the inn is to step back in time. Regardless of the room you choose, you will feel at home. The innkeepers are nice and all the staff is courteous. In short, many of the wonderful memories I have of this most unique city include the St. Francis Inn. It is my "home away from home" whenever I visit St. Augustine. Paul, Tampa Florida

I was searching for a place in florida to visit and I had been told by many people St Augustine is very quaint town to visit. Well I searched and bed and breakfast places came up and then I started reading reviews. Well of all the B&B in the area St Francis Inn had the best reviews... Well they were not wrong from the very pleasant check in to seeing the Saffron Suite I was totally hooked the various services that they provide my boyfriend and I felt like we were the King and Queen for our stay. I totally enjoyed the town and I felt like a tourist and yet when I came back to St Francis Inn throughout the day I felt special and relaxed. I loved the Breakfast and the social hour was so very nice and what can I say about dessert time YUMMY!. Thank you for making my vacation awesome and I honestly can't wait to go back because I will most certainly be planning a long weekend in the winter time. NormaJean and Joshua

As I searched for the perfect 'getaway' surprise, I came upon wonderful reviews for the St Francis Inn. We've never stayed in a B&B and I thought we'd start with the oldest established Inn there in St Augustine. We were not disappointed from the moment we parked. Quant and Quiet. Wonderful staff. And when my husband says, "when we come back...", YOU KNOW it was A HIT. Great Hospitality and a Great FIRST experience at a B&B. Pete and Doreen Ooms (Brandon FL)

My family recently spent three nights at the St. Francis Inn (8/4/09) and absolutely LOVED it! Our daughter's (15 & 12) can't wait to go back too. A peaceful location, yet close enough to walk to the center of historic St. Augustine. They have plentiful parking, a beautiful courtyard, pool, free bikes and the use of lounge chairs, towels and a private bath/shower and parking area at the nearby beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food divine. This was our first Bed & Breakfast experience and we are totally hooked! Can't wait to return this coming winter for a long weekend.

We destressed in the comfort of this charming inn for two nights and did not want our stay to end. There was a Heavenly, peaceful feeling that surrounded the Inn and we could feel it as we arrived at guest parking only for the peace to overflow within us at the entrance. We were greeted by Bev, an inkeeper, and she greeted us with a lovely smile. Bev was a joy to talk with during our stay. Bev took us up to our room, "The Elizabeth Suite." Our suite was charming and comfortable and we could hear the sound of the horse carriages as they drove past. At night we could see the flashes of cameras from the ghost tours. The Inn is said to be haunted although we did not see any apparitions. It would have been nice if we did. Happy hour was fun with complimentary wine which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed a yummy breakfast of 5 Cheese Strata and Cranberry Oatmeal. Coffee, teas, and delicious cookies were always on hand. We were given complimentary tickets to the lighthouse. The Inn also has an extensive movie collection if you feel like watching a movie. The coutyard of the Inn is filled with the beauty of St. Francis statues, plants, flowers, Koi fish pond, and Zeke the cat is their to make it all complete. We enjoyed swinging and rocking on the porches. We could not have asked for better hospitality from all the innkeepers. We could tell the innkeepers wanted us to be happy! We are so happy that we chose the St. Francis Inn and hope to visit again soon!

Our stay at the St. Francis was wonderful! We decided to stay an extra night. The staff is outstanding and Joe (owner) is always around and very accessible to speak to. I can not say enough about the service, from check in to check out someone was always there to help. I walk with a cane and Carolee went out of her way to tray my breakfast and help me to the courtyard to enjoy. Bev, George and I just love you!!! Joe has top notch employees on his staff who love the inn and it's guests. Chef makes a mean latte!!! Thank you Chef for all of them! Our room was SPOTLESS, you can walk barefoot and not be afraid. I can not wait to go back to the St. Francis Inn!!!!!

Growing up in Florida, there are many sights and scents that make me happy and content. At the St. Francis Inn, which I discovered six and a half years ago, all these memories come alive in the tranquil garden courtyard, the overly-soft and comfortable beds, the romantic whirlpool tubs, and the bench swings on the porches. The owners are always sincerely amiable and meet your every need. The rooms/suites are well kept and immaculate. Any food served tastes amazing, always above average standard. The many "perks" offered to the Inn's guests make the stay complete... I return every year to the St. Francis Inn. It has become a special escape from the every day! I recommend this Inn to everyone, and will continue to do so!

This is a first time stay at a bed and breakfast, and St. Francis was terrific. They had a social hour, free wine or beer. And later a desert hour, which we missed as we were relaxing in the hot tub for about 3 hours. We got complementery tickets to the St. Augustine lighthouse, and I walked to the top. The Inn offers bikes to ride around town, and their court yard was relaxing and peaceful. It was fantastic. My wife and I are already planning to go back again next year.

We took our 5 adult kids , along with their significant others for a 2 night stay at the St. Francis for a mini family get away. This was the first time in 16 years we had them all together for a vacation. The Inn exceeded their expectations in every aspect! We were all able to eat together, enjoy the beautiful courtyard, enjoy the nearby historical sites, and enjoy the pool. The food was excellent, even my son-in-law, who is a chef, had nothing but compliments on the food. The staff was exceptional in making sure everyone had everything they needed and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. My husband and I have been going there for several years for mini getaways and decided to expose our kids to the bed and breakfast experience for this trip. They all want to return on their own for this truly unique experience, and all of us want to thank the Inn and their staff for an unforgettable time with nothing but happy memories in every single aspect. THANK YOU!!!

We spent a 4-day weekend at the St Francis Inn over Thanksgiving (also our anniversary). The staff could not have been nicer. Our room was lovely and they even had a small flat screen tv. The food was great and location very convenient. We were able to walk to most everything. Definitely would buy the 3-day train ticket (you can pick it up at The Old House around the corner). With the exception of the first evening, we left our car parked and walked or took the train. For the uninitiated, St. Augustine has narrow one-way streets and little parking. It was so nice not to have to think about it. The courteous and friendliness of the staff just added to a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

The room was beautiful, complete with the antique decor to the flat screen TV. The service from owner and staff was personable and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Due to an unfortunate incident, 1 of our rooms had to be changed. However, the move was pleasant and exceeded our expectations. We were made to feel at home. Everything is convenient, including parking, a rare thing in St. Augustine.Thank you for a perfect stay!!!

We stayed at the St. Francis Inn in December. The inn is within walking distance to Old St. Augustine and has free parking right across the street. The breakfast(s) were very good. The service and people at the inn were very nice.

We have stayed at St Francis Inn many times over the past 20 years and it is still the best. Our last visit was the middle of dec 06 for a much needed get away. Their gift is Hospitality and it done with such flair. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food is delicious with a wonderful chef who knows what works. Had room service one morning and it was over the top. Plus you can have a massage therapist come to your room for a relaxing massage. Returning guests get a bonus with percentage off too! Lots of complimentary wines and gourmet teas and coffee. You must visit soon and fall in love with St Francis Inn.
