Our House Of St Augustine

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Orlando. Decided to stop and enjoy the city and this B&B was a great choice. The location is great and the downtown sights are all within walking distance. Accomodations were wonderful and so was the breakfast. We will stay here again.

I would stay at Our House just for those gingerbread gourmet pancakes. Seriously. But you also want to know about the inn, so I'll cover that too. My wife and I both stayed at Dave's (the innkeeper) B&B a few times over the last couple years and Our House is one of our favorite inns in Saint Augustine. The property is on a quiet residential street and actually consists of two buildings with 5 beautiful comfy rooms, ample parking in a rear lot, beautiful gardens, and Dave, the greatest pancake extraordinaire you will ever meet. He's also a darn good piano player as well - you'll have the pleasure of waking up to it each morning if you're lucky enough to stay in the main house's three rooms. Our House is a short walk from the main streets of old town Saint Augustine's attractions, so you'll be plenty close to everything you want to enjoy, yet still be able to retreat back to your quiet and cozy room. Dave is a great host and you will marvel at his ability to craft a pancake that is truly a cake from a pan. He also makes gourmet frittatas that you will not find an equal to. We will continue to make Our House one of our main stops during our frequent stays in our favorite Florida city. - Darlene and Kevin

Had a great stay, just over night. Dave was very accomodating, room was nice, clean, lovley bath with jacuzzie. Loved the early morning coffee delivered to our room, very good breakfast (not the usual) The best was Dave playing is wonderful 1923 grand piano, what a treat!

We stayed at "Our House" celebrating our 11-year wedding anniversary. The B&B and rooms look exactly as they do in the pictures. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee outside our door each morning to enjoy outside on our porch was wonderful! Dave was so helpful and very personable. We had a wonderful and memorable weekend stay there and will definitely come back again!

What a find! Great location! Quiet but within walking distance of everything. The gardens are terrific and our host was great! Best of the 2009 Road Trip (with a B&B every night).

My wife and I stayed at Our House on for 2 nights in the middle of Dec. '08. Our stay could nort have been better. To begin with, the location is on a side street a few blocks from the historic district. It is walking distance from all points of interest but is also much quieter and a more intimate setting than other B&B's that we saw. Our room was impeccably clean and the furnishings were tasteful without being too over the top or cluttered like other inns at which we have stayed. There are many B&B's with good locations and clean rooms, but what sets Our House apart from the others is the owner, David Brezing. He is an exceptional host, helping us with restaurant selections, entertaining us with live piano announcing breakfast his stories of his past as an editor of US Today. If this wasn't enough, he also happens to be an excellent chef. His breakfasts were the best we have ever had at a B&B stay. All I can say is that if we ever have the pleasure of staying in St. Augustine again, we will be staying at Our House if there is an opening

We're thinking of an impromptu trip to St. Augustine but are watching hurricane updates. If we do get to go, there's nowhere else I'd rather be than in one of the Garden Suites at Our House. It's been more than a year since we stayed there, and every detail was perfect. Our suite was beautiful, but most important, extremely comfortable. Breakfast, which we ate on the porch or in the courtyard, was left for us, thoughtfully presented and protected in the fridge, and we eagerly peaked to see what awaited us the next morning. Each breakfast was varied and delicious. I mentioned the Sunday New York Times to Dave, and one was waiting for me on the porch when I woke up. The Harley was welcomed, we were introduced to friends with similar interests in restoration, directed to wonderful restaurants, and made to feel welcome, relaxed, and thoroughly indulged. Dave is a great cook, an incredible interior designer, a wonderful preservationist and a perfect host. There's no WAY we'll get a reservation this time around!

This was our first time in St. Augustine and it was a wonderful experience. Not only did we love he town but Our house was lovely too. The innkeeper and his assistant Ann could not be more accomadating and the breakfast was gourmet. I highly reccommend this inn and this town

The location was awesome. Close to everything. This was our business/pleasure trip. Had couple interviews in nearby area, & decided to live at this location; Glad we made this decision. the host was great. Didn't want to come back.

Our House of St. Augustine is truly an amazing experience. While shopping in the nearby antique stores before checking in to Our House, several shop owners asked where we were staying while in town. When we told them we were staying at Our House, they could not say enough to let us know how much they loved Innkeeper Dave Brezing. It is easy to understand why. Dave was such a gracious host. We enjoyed every minute at the house. Especially relaxing on our private second floor porch off the Greenhaven Room. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on away from home. Dave gave us great recommendations for dinner and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Breakfast was the highlight of our stay and unlike anything I've ever experience at any other B&B. The food selections were complemented beautifully by Dave's delightful company and charming wit. The city of St. Augustine is enriched by Dave's presence and a stay at Our House captures, what I found to be, the true feeling of the city.

We enjoyed our stay at Our House and our visit to St. Augustine. David's breakfast was sinful and we can't wait to stay there again to enjoy the hospitality and delicious food. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We were there with another couple and enjoyed having the second floor to ourselves, which made the stay even better. We recommend this b&b to all.

We stayed at "Our House" for four nights on our honeymoon. We picked the Azalea room from the pictures online. It was beautifully decorated with both modern and antique touches. The innkeeper was so friendly and helpful, he really knows where all the best places to visit are! We absolutely loved it and we will be back!
