This beautiful room exudes the warm colors of butter cream yellow and hints of Victorican blue. The room is named after the original owners of the home and is upstairs, overlooking the upper veranda. It has a King size, Oak bed. It is furnished with a magnificent armoire that is a family heirloom, a secretary/desk and marble top table from the family home and a very comfortable overstuffed armchair. It has a Ben Franklin type stove. The stove uses canned heat and is more for ambiance than for heat. The bathroom has a shower.

This truly Victorian room is decorated in pale shades of blue with a predominate blue toile pattern in the window valances, ceiling border and bed quilt. The massive maple headboard and footboard on the king size bed enhances the Victorian theme. Decorator tables and overstuffed arm chair add the charm to this room. The bathroom is Victorian style with a large claw foot tub for really soaking. But, for those that want a shower, just pull the shower curtain around the tub.

The queen size mahogany, four-poster canopy bed is dominate in this room. There's a beautiful mahogany desk that Bill's father and mother used in their home. The large wardrobe was imported from England. The mahogany dresser came from another old home in St. Augustine. The comfortable wing back chair makes an ideal place to snuggle with a favorite book. The Victorian bathroom for this room is the original bathroom in the home. It is a hall bathroom, but private for this room only. It has the largest claw foot tub in the home. The bathroom is just three or four steps from the room. We provide robes for your convenience.

This really quiet room is one of the smaller ones. It's located toward the back of the home, upstairs and off of the street side. It has a small separate sitting room, with a comfortable wooden rocker. The massive oak headboard and footboard on this queen size bed speaks of down home comfort and relaxation. The Victorian bathroom has a claw foot tub in which to unwind. Or, if you wish, just pull the shower curtains around the tub and step in.

A truly romantic room. It is upstairs at the back of the home. It has its own private hallway. For many years, this has been referred to as the honeymoon, anniversary, or special event room. It's hard to imagine the queen size massive walnut bed. The carving and inlays make this one really special. The wonderful old marble top dresser compliments the bed. The room has a really high cathedral ceiling with large fan-shaped skylights. The heavy lace curtains accent the windows and the fine bedspread. A comfortable wing back chair makes time pass as you wait for your special person. The beautiful bathroom, with gold fixtures, is "fit for a queen." The shower is extra wide. Just step in and enjoy! This is for you and your loved one.

Two queen size beds make this an ideal room for families, friends or couples who just prefer to have room to stretch out. It is on the first floor and overlooks the lower veranda. The room may remind you of "Grandmothers" house. It's beautifully appointed with quilts and lace. There are two very comfortable chairs, two tables and two reading lamps. The large dresser and wardrobe complete the appointments and make this room a haven for many purposes. The bathroom is practical with a shower.

The handsome queen size, Victorian style, wrought iron bed is white, with a complimenting twin size day bed. So, this room will accommodate two people or, is perfect when there are three. When there are only two people, the daybed is used as a sofa. A nice chair for reading, a dresser and a closet complete this room. The private bathroom for this room is a hall bath. It is three or four steps from the room, but private for just this room. We provide robes to get you around the corner. The bathroom is large and has a shower.

Butter cream colored walls set off the queen size, 18 th century, antique bed. It has a delicately carved walnut headboard and footboard and is accented with a tapestry bedspread of blush and sage. This is another favorite room for those who don't want to climb stairs. A very quaint room, but large with appointments. There is an antique armoire that was brought from Oklahoma, a fine old dresser and comfortable chair. You can pamper yourself with bubbles and a glass of wine in the antique claw foot tub. Or, if you prefer, just pull the shower curtains around the tub and step in.

This is a spacious queen size room that has a really open feeling. The queen size four poster oak bed compliments the cream and rose hues of the room. A desk from the Johnson family home, a casual chair and a practical dresser complete the room. French doors lead you to a small, private covered porch and small garden yard. The Victorian bathroom has a wonderful claw foot antique soaking tub with a shower. Romance is in the air of this fabulous room.

This is the height of luxuriance. The huge, iron king size bed is almost dwarfed by the size of the room. A wicker table and two chairs form an intimate arrangement for a sip of wine. A large English imported wardrobe and antique dresser are fitting for the room. But, then there is the whirlpool tub in the carefully crafted portion of this room. Imagine turning the lights down low, sipping a glass of wine in your Carriage Way robes and preparing for the relaxing, two person whirlpool. Romance is back! The Victorian bathroom has a wonderful antique claw foot tub with a shower. This is all you could wish for and more.

This isn't the first visit and stay at the Carriage Way Cottage. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave - you are part of the Johnson family and they extend the most hospitable service and care imaginable! John and Jeanie are two of the most wonderful people in the world and, in my opinion, make the Carriage Way so special. No detail is left undone. They show how much they love what they are doing and their staff reflects this same quality. I highly recommend staying at the Carriage Way! Great breakfasts, wonderful people and the location couldn't be any better! You can walk most anywhere and you are just one block from St. George's Street. We go at least twice a year to stay almost a week! Wish it could be a month!!! The Carriage Way is THE BEST!!!! Try it!!! Terri Cole, Sarasota, FL

We have chosen Carriage Way time and time again because of their hospitality, atmosphere and location. It is close enough to historical shopping district on St. George St. (walking distance), but yet far enough away not to be bothered by noise. You are always greeted warmly by the staff and always made to feel welcomed. The food is fabulous, plentiful and always fresh baked items in the afternoon. They have a variety of wines, beers and liquors to suit just about anyone’s taste and of course, a variety of sodas as well. The coffee is made early for the early morning risers and the news paper is readily available. I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone.

Our daughter and son joined us in this holiday. Our hosts covered all our needs including providing triple " A" batteries late at night for the children to try out their new Harry Potter wands. We liked their sincere desire to please us and the extra effort done to look for our iPad charger. We consider them as new found friends making our 25th family holiday perfect!
