    Most Wonderful B&B Ever

    September 14, 2009

Recently my daughter and daughter in law surprised me with a weekend birthday celebration at the Alexander Homestead. We were greeted as if we already knew each other, the rooms, the decor and all the awesome breakfasts (from scratch & home-made) were beyond my expectations. I stayed before in other St. Augustine B&B and Bonnie's home is by far the most comfortable, friendliest, relaxing and clean B&B I have stayed in. Thank you for the most wonderful B&B Ever! We definitely plan to come again!

Best B+B Experience in St. Augustine

    July 07, 2009

My husband and I recently visited St. Augustine and stayed at the Alexander Homestead. The location of this Bed + Breakfast is ideal - walking distance to all the historical sites. The decor of our room was a delight, all of the expected amenities of large commercial hotels in the package of a beautiful Victorian home. Each breakfast was delicious - we couldn't have asked for more anywhere. Last but not least, everything was very clean - important to me wherever I go. I can recommend this place to anyone and plan to stay there when planning my next stay in St. Augustine.

We have stayed at the Alexander Homestead several times and are always pleased. We have tried alot of other B&Bs in St. Augustine, but always come back to Alexander Homestead. The feeling there is always welcoming, food is delicious, rooms are very cozy and well appointed and the location is great!! We have never been disappointed and will be back again.

    Great time had by all

    February 01, 2008

My wife and I stayed here in November 2007 for our 1st anniversary. Bonnie and her staff couldn't have been nicer and the breakfasts were fantastic. Bonnie went out of her way to sneak a cake, wine, and my anniversary gift into our room while we were at dinner. My wife was completely surprised and I got all the Brownie points even though Bonnie did the work! :) The inn is just a short walk from downtown and Bonnie did a great job restoring the old place and making it a great getaway. If you've never done a B&B before, I highly recommend it and specifically recommend the Alexander. Our room had a private porch that connected to another rooms private porch. We made friends with 6 of the other guests and partied on our porches till the wee hours of the morning! St. Augustine is a great city and you won't go wrong staying with Bonnie.

Elegant, Classy & Great for Eloping!

    September 09, 2007

We stayed for the 3 night package. This was our first time at a Bed & Breakfast and were excited for the experience after hearing so many good things from others. Our room was spotless, elegant & clean with every ammenity we could imagine. We stayed in the Lady Grace which was cozy & romantic! We saw all the rooms and they too were just breathtaking! The house and grounds itself were so whimsical, very very well maintained & magical. We enjoyed our time on the swing on the front porch! Bonnie & her staff go out of the way to make sure your every request has been met as much as possible. They do not miss a trick! Our "yummy & filling" breakfast each morning was served in the wonderful dining room and each meal was amazing! And by candlelight! We had a great group of fellow visitors which we enjoyed having morning chats with before we each went off for the day on a new journey! We were married, we eloped, during our stay in the parlor and utilized one of the wedding packages, thru her website, which was a great bargain and covered everything. Bonnie, herself, performed our ceremony. She handles everything very personal & professional... It was just perfect & intimate and we were very very pleased with the service. Don't forget to ask Bonnie about the Raintree restaurant and the private car service to and from the restaurant! The Inn itself sits back 3 short blocks from the main drag in St. Augustine, maybe a 5 minute easy safe walk, so it was nice to stroll home daily thru the Victorian Houses in the neighborhood to our Inn but yet be so close to all the excitement when needed! We also recommend "Ghosts & Gravestones's" ghost tour... http://www.ghostsandgravestones.com/staugustine.htm Bonnie, thanks for the wonderful memories, we can't tell you enough how magical it was and we will see you next year! I recommend the Alexander Homestead to anyone looking for a fantastic, romantic getaway and a bit of pampering!

    Fantastic B&B with special touches!!

    April 15, 2007

My husband and I stayed in the Alexander Homestead B&B and thoroughly enjoyed its Victorian & Southern charm! The host, Bonnie, and her staff were very friendly and made us feel right at home. Our room, Sweet William, was very elegant, comfortable and very clean. The gourmet breakfast was most delicious (homemade granola & fruit and fritatta) and we really enjoyed sitting at the lovely set dining room table where the guests could sit together and share travel stories. The personal touches that made this B&B stand out were the BEST EGYPTIAN COTTEN SHEETS, coffee available first thing in the morning before breakfast, bottle water in the room, wine and beer available anytime and a lovely host!! We will be back Bonnie!! Many thanks!!
