This is not the place to stay if you are going to Disney or want to be on the beach. However, it was perfect for visiting family in Deland! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. There are great restaurants in old downtown Deland.

Gerald and Nan are gracious and accommodating hosts, and have created an oasis in Orange City. Really enjoyed my stay in the Rose and Green Rooms. Nan's breakfast is delicious! And the new kitten, Molly, is a sweetiepie. All great reasons I'm looking forward to a return trip!

We really enjoyed our stay the room had every little thing you could need. Down to the toothbrush! We also liked the landscaping of the property! Was a beautiful lot. The springs were in driving range and good dining a short drive away!

We LOVED our one night stay at the Alling House. We've stayed in hundreds of places across the country and this one exceptionally pleased us. Each cottage is decorated uniquely just like the pictures show. Even outside was very pleasant with a quiet garden like feel. The service was wonderful; Gerald and Nan were very hospitable. Only reason I can't say the food was exceptional was because we didn't experience the breakfast but rather we simply ate the cereal, milk, and juice provided in the room--which was a blessing to have right there already in the fridge so that we didn't have to get anything at the store. All together we enjoyed our stay. Wish we could've stayed longer and if we come that way again, we would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Alling House Bed and Breakfast. The owners were awesome hostess. We both went on our motorcycles and Jerold was very accommodating on where to park them. We stayed at the Victorian cottage which it was delightful. Sad we didn't stayed longer. The morning breakfast for $5.00 per person for those staying in the cottages, was really good worth the price. This will not be our last time staying at the Alling House....already making plans for the future.

To say I highly recommend this place would be a huge understatement. I have told everyone I know about it. Our girls enjoyed it and we will plan on making this a family tradition.

What a treat. Couldn't get the Victorian room but we enjoyed the Frontier room all the same. So many details thought of. Enjoyed the bubbling tub and loved having a washer/dryer-tucked away. Lots of room in this place and we were met by a lovely woman. Place is quiet and tranquil!

We enjoyed our one night stay in the Rose room. The breakfast we were served the next morning was delicious and the presentation was perfect. The host and hostess were very gracious. We will go back and refer friends to stay at this B&B and enjoy the area. We enjoyed our day visiting some natural springs and parks. Tanya Stewart
