We spent two wonderful nights at the Night Swan. Everything was first rate. Every one of the staff was friendly and helpful, too. Great restaurant recommendations. We will be back. We live on the river in Melbourne, so it was just a nice change of scenery.

We spent two nights at the Night Swan to celebrate our anniversary. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, and the staff who prepare the breakfasts and take care of your needs while you're there are wonderful. The food is superb, with too much of it, of course. Lots of freshly baked goods and delicious dishes for breakfasts. We plan to go back again in the future.

Recently my husband and I were on a house hunting mission in New Smyrna. He asked me to look for a hotel. He was not on board with a Bed and Breakfast (as most men don't understand the concept). After some discussion he decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Betsy the owner. She gave us a warm welcome and checked us into a lovely room with adjoining sitting room over looking the Intracoastal waterway. The bed was comfortable and we both enjoyed the spa tub which was much appreciated after our long drive. Breakfast, prepared by a chef, was delicious and we felt at home in the comfortable and inviting dining area. We then retreated to the front porch to enjoy the view, breezes and ambience as we sipped our coffee. Betsy and Matt are warm and friendly hosts that go out of their way to make you feel at home. The property is relaxing and impeccable it transports you to another time and allows you escape the hustle and bustle, at least for a little while. Betsy even hooked us up with an excellent realtor who showed us around town. We were so impressed with the area we put an offer on a house and stayed another night!!

Stayed there last year under the old owners and I found the place to be excellent. This year I spent a long weekend under the new owners and this B&B is still excellent and the prices are lower a bit. Food, staff, service, and ambience are wonderful.

Spent a lovely week in August at this charming B&B in New Smyrna Beach with my daughters and we enjoyed every minute. The inn staff are wonderful and helpful with suggestions on where to go and where to eat. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the drive-on beach pristine! We stayed in the Magnolia Suite with two separate bed rooms and a private bath and it felt like a tree house hideaway. We loved the front porch, especially the swing, and the two-story dock right across the street. We were able to see dolphins each morning and in the evening too! We can't wait to go back again...such a lovely property and the owner's Matt and Betsy are so warm and friendly. We would highly recommend staying at the Night Swan to explore the old Florida charm of New Smyrna Beach.

I don't know where to begin because I can't that one thing made me fall in love with this place more than another. The staff is GREAT! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt like I was visiting family. Heather, the chef, was like an Italian grandmother without being old or meddlesome. She cooks like an angel and treats guests like best friends. Visiting with the new owners, Matt and Betsie, was like reconnecting with old friends. The location, the rooms, the cleanliness, the extra attention to detail, the view and, of course, the home made breakfast made this the best bed and breakfast I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Will come again... you should too.

This was our first stay at this B&B but it will not be our last. The owners and staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Everyone was very friendly and always available to make our stay more comfortable. The breakfasts were scrumptious and wonderful aromas were ever present throughout the main house. I heartedly suggest you order a piece of the flourless chocolate cake. I am a certified chocoholic and can honestly say this is the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten. We are boaters and found the boat dock to be a great bonus.

What a pleasant and relaxing time I had. My room was spacious and clean but temp too cold for me so I turned off the A/C. Breakfast was varied each morning and always different. Heather is an EXCELLENT baker! Her muffins are to Die for. New owner Betsy is a gem of a lady who is always caring, kind and friendly.

Martha: Night Swan was the perfect location to celebrate our anniversary - actually it's the ideal location to relax for any occasion or just to get-a-way. It was simply lovely and we wanted you to know how much we truly enjoyed our stay. Every detail was pure perfection, you anticipate the needs of your guests....all we could do was smile throughout our stay. The setting on the intracoastal waterway was beautiful and we loved sitting on the upper deck of your dock watching the boats and listening to the quiet splash of the waters. We will highly recommend Night Swan to others.....although on second thought, we might be selfish enough not to share this private haven. The fact that we purchased the gift certificate for Night Swan at a charity fund raiser made us even happier; it was a two-fold blessing....we had a wonderful experience and Alzheimer's patients will also reap some benefits of care. Once again, thank you; it created a very special memory for us. Joyce & Glenn Karney

It was a very pleasant and accommodating experience for me at the Night Swan. I tour nationally with my workshop and enjoy great vistas and instructing oil painting workshops with a painting knife. Some times staying at a Bed and Breakfast, hotel or another oil painters taking my workshop. The Night Swan was clean, organized with good food. I was even able to help the cook develop his “egg in the window”, one of my favorite breakfasts meals. Martha the owner, purchased my new book on Plein Air Painting for Everyone. I hope to see you at one of my workshops when you are able to get away in either Utah or Italy. My Workshop Schedule: http://www.darylurig.com/

As another reviewer wrote -- Don't let our ratings lead you astray. This was a lovely bed and breakfast. We've just stayed at so many places that I fear we've become a bit tough in our rating system. Our entrance was wonderful as we walked in to gingerbread baking in the oven. Smelled heavenly. Room was nice and all was clean and comfortable. The place definitely has character - various buildings and rooms. Many of the places that we stay have much more 'plush'-ness to them - e.g., newer bedding (although fine and clean). The alarm went off several times in the evening and in the early morning, which was a bit alarming. Also, several of the bed/breakfasts that we've stayed at have munchies throughout the evening included in the stay, which is a special touch. The people there were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed ourselves and the location is convenient to Flagler and various places to eat.

We arrived early to be greeted on a first name basis. We were treated like friends the entire stay. Everyone was very accomadating. This was my first stay in a B&B. The company I work for booked the Night Swan for our annual meeting.. It was perfect! The room I had was beautiful! My husband was able to come for the weekend and the inn let me extend my stay one night with no issue. Thanks!

This was our second visit to the Night Swan and we enjoyed it even more than our first. Our room (The Turnbull) was very large with a fireplace and large flat screen TV. But the best part of the accomodations was the beautiful two-level dock right on the Indian River. We tanned, read. watched boats pass, enjoyed dolphins and manatees and simply vegged out. We even had an opportunity to use stand-up paddleboards, wehn the owners, Chuck and Martha, came out to use them with their friends. The hospitality displayed by Chuck and Martha was exceptional. I felt like we were good friends after staying only one day. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had a wonderful time recently at The Night Swan. The friendly owner and staff meant so much to us and the Manatee Sighting room was everything we could hope it would be. Fresh coffee at 7 am, NOT made by me was perfect and breakfast also NOT made by me made our morning wonderful. Comfy bed, jacuzzi tub, beautiful view, beautiful grounds. We were completely satisfied and would love to go back again!

What a way to experience my first b&b! Heather was an excellent host and possessed a wealth of knowledge about the town. Her recommendations for sights and dining were remarkable! My entire family and I ventured into new territory by leaving the comfort of home and booking our Thanksgiving stay at the Night Swan. My family enjoys the holidays together and our trip to the Night Swan was way more than what I had hoped for. From the moment we arrived until we said our final good-bye to Martha and her staff, we were treated like royalty! The food is awesome, the accomodations were extremely quaint and very clean and the view was spectacular. If the Night Swan ordered perfect weather just for us, they did a great job of that too! We are definitely considering a return trip next year.

We took a weekend getaway and thankfully the innkeepers were so kind to check us in at 9pm, plus get the tour, helped ourselves to some wonderful coffee, and looked over a salon table with "things to do." Staff are super friendly with great area advice. There are three different houses on this property looking over the intracoastal and causeway bridge. Each house has an open kitchen with a fridge stocked with water, sodas, and ice cream! Plus you get cookies in your room upon check-in. The "main house" is where you check-in and has a nice large wrap-around porch and a large salon with a piano, fireplace, books and DVDs. The main house's open kitchen has coffee 24/7, plus all the fridge stuff, ice cream etc. Our room (Egret's view) had a comfy comfy king bed, one TV in the bed area, and a little sitting room with a sofa, TV and DVD player. Our bathroom was huge, seriously, and had a jacuzzi/tub. The breakfast (schedule yourself up to 9:30am) is a tasty treat, after a great night's sleep, and they have their recipes online! Then 10am to 8pm, the inn is open to the public for espresso, lattes, etc and sweets like cakes and pastries. There are lawn chairs, that awesome porch, plus a great dock across the street. The dock is unique - it has two stories, eating benches and tables on the bottom and chairs up top. Early November is beautiful here with perfect temp in the 70s! It's a perfect location because it is walking distance to either causeway (but you'll probably drive) and end up on the "beachside". Lots of restaurants, shops, and businesses to rent bikes or take lessons on surfing, kayaking, etc. Overall, this was a great stay and we'd like to come back with family!

We live just an hour away from New Smyrna and were due for a much needed break from reality. My husband surprised me with a two night stay at the Night Swan B & B. With our hectic schedules, we arrived late Tuesday evening. We were greeted with a smile and shown around the main house and to the Manatee Sighting Suite where we stayed. It was very clean and inviting with a separate sitting room overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway (where we saw several schools of dolphins the next day). Delicious homemade cookies were waiting for us by the bedside. We were able to relax in the large Jacuzzi tub and had a peaceful night’s sleep. We saw a most beautiful sunrise, had a scrumptious breakfast (fresh fruit, homemade waffles, fresh orange juice and coffee), did some shopping in the two quaint downtown areas, drove on the pristine beach and dipped our toes in the surprisingly warm ocean water. Since it was off season (August 30 to 31) and a weekday, the beach was quiet and relaxing and not at all crowded. The weather was perfect. The Night Swan recommended we have lunch at The Breakers which is known for their fabulous burgers (the best I’ve ever eaten). It was a very restful stay and the staff was attentive to our needs. We would recommend the Night Swan and would definitely stay there again.

We arrived Saturday evening and were given the Captain's Room on the 3rd Floor. Heather showed us all around and she was extremely pleasant and professional. We went out to dinner and came back to a very comfortable room. Our room was very nice with 2 Queen size beds. The house was very quiet. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We enjoyed talking to other people staying there over breakfast. We would have loved to sit on the veranda but it was very warm for us. We had a lovely stay!!

So I happy we chose this b&b. Not too many to choose from in the NSB/Dayton Beach area. Excellent breakfast, beautiful room, free ice cream and cones, whirlpool tub, and very, very nice staff and owners. We went paddle boarding along the river and saw dolphins and osprey. I would highly recommend this as the perfect romantic getaway :)

This is a fairly quiet joint near the beach that allows one to head to the beach all day long, come back and crash and get up and do it all over again the next morning (after a pitch perfect breakfast, that is). It took my staying here, my first ever bed and breakfast establishment, to wonder why I hadn't done this sort of thing before. Homemade banana french toast (yeah, they even made their own bread!) on the porch in the morning, looking out at the pier and sun rising, well, that was the proverbial icing on the cake, so to speak. They couldn't have been friendlier, either. I don't say this about a lot of places, but I do believe I'll go back. I was only there overnight thanks to a Groupon but, with that kind of charm and service, I could've stuck around a week, easy.

We stayed here when we came up to view a shuttle launch. It is definitely quieter than staying closer to the beach, which is just minutes away. The owner and staff are low-key but helpful, and do a great job in making you feel comfortable. We stayed in the Regatta Room on the second floor, which we found a bit cramped for 2 people. The other rooms seemed much more roomy. We loved having the long dock just across from the house. We would definitely recommend the Night Swan to our friends.

A lovely, quaint B & B in such a peaceful setting and yet close enough to walk to most entertainment anyone would desire. We watched the Discovery space shuttle take off on the private pier, strolled on the lovely river walk, enjoyed a downtown arts and craft festival, and there is easy beach access to miles of walking, swimming and surfing. Local restaurants have fresh seafood from riverfront to oceanfront dining. And best of all, New Smyrna Beach is still a well kept secret from the Disney crowds!

Don't let the "met my expectations" rating fool you. We stay in a LOT of B&B's and have high expections of the ones we visit and The Night Swan did, indeed, meet our expectations. The location is lovely and the home is warm and inviting and made more so by the beautful Christmas tree and fireplace. Our room was comfortable with a delightfully firm mattress and our host was gracious. Breakfast was simple (if you call an Artichoke and ham turkey Strata simple) and DELICIOUS! We will return to this area to explore it more completely and you can BET that we'll stay at the Night Swan again!! I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good B&B experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Night Swan. It is also pet friendly, so that's a huge PLUS! We stayed in the 2bdrm cottage in the back which was very private and nice. After breakfast each morning we would return to our cottage to discover it had been cleaned and beds freshly made. That was very nice. The chef specializes in low-something diet, and we would have much preferred a traditional egg/bacon breakfast. That being said, the breakfast was very tasty! We had no complaints. She does a good job of making the food taste good. The owner, Martha, did an outstanding job of making sure we were well taken care of. At night we would walk across the street to the private dock and watch the boats go by as we drank our glass of wine. Sometimes we'd sit on the front porch. Martha provides ice cream in the freezer, so grabbing an ice cream cone and going for a late-night walk was always on our agenda. This place is very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend staying here.

My wife and I recently spend a relaxing several days at the Night Swan Intracoastal B&B. Our primary intention for the trip was to view a space shuttle launch and were looking for a comfortable place to spend the remainder of our time. The Night Swan certainly exceeded our expectations. Our past experience with Florida visits has been in large hotels, surrounded by traffic and concrete. The Night Swan is in a quiet residential neighborhood but still with easy access to highways and tourist destinations. The rooms are bright and well-appointed. The Canaveral National Seashore is 15 minutes away and the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is not much farther. As an added bonus, the inn keepers are very knowledgeable about the shuttle program and we were able to view the launch from the dock in front of the inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return whenever we travel to the area.

The experience at the Night Swan B&B was truly outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. Staying in the Dolphin Domain gave us our own entrance and a light-filled sun porch with unobstructed views of the Intercoastal Waterway. We could watch the sunrise, the sailboats and dophins playing in the water. I grew up in the area, but had never been in a period Florida house before. What a treat! The floors were pine and cypress--gorgeous. The wood work was amazing. Yet the up-dates to the bath, the cental a/c, ceiling fans, microwave and frig, TV and DVD player etc. provided modern conveniences. The grounds are pure Florida--with everything from ferns to live oaks with Spanish moss. It is an extensive complex and extremely well- maintained. The expansive front porch of the main house has rockers and a swing. There are plenty of places on the grounds to sit and enjoy the views while still maintaining a sense of privacy. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The rooms were cleaned while we were at breakfast so that we never had to experience "room service." Everyone at the Night Swan was extremely friendly and helpful. I cannot understand why this B&B hasn't received all 5's. I am picky, but I cannot find anything to "pick at." I would go back again and again--and will. Lynda Fogle Weatogue, CT

6/12/09 Spent the night at the Night Swan for our 38th anniversary in the Turnbull Suite. The friendly hostess acccompanied us to our room, gave us a quick tour of the common area kitchenette & instructions on the use of the tub jets. She was helpful with suggestions to eat lunch & directions to obtain tickets for the sunset cruise. Our room was spacious, well maintain & appreciated the private entrance via our French doors. Breakfast was 7-9am. You select the time you wanted to eat & had the option later of changing the time yourself on the signup sheet. We chose to eat with the other guests rather than have breakfast served on our balcony. We have been to several B&B's up north & rate this one as one of the better ones we have visited. The location, the river views & relaxing atmosphere made this trip a memorable one for us. The Thomases from Homosassa Fl.
