~~Southeast FL via FL Turnpike to Toll Road 429, to US 441, then “Old” US 441 into Mt Dora;
~~From I-95 ~ take Route 44 West from New Smyrna or Route 46 West thru Sanford into Mt Dora;
~~From Southwest FL via I-75 to Rt 50, then east to Rt 19 at Groveland, or Take I-4 East to Polk City (MapQuest or your GPS w/send you into Orlando-way out of your way) In Polk City Take Route 33 North to Groveland, Take Route 19 North to “Old” US 441 in Tavares. Go East on “Old” US 441 approx 5 miles to my door.
~~From West and Northwest FL ~ I-75/FL Turnpike to Rt 44 to Wildwood / Leesburg, then South on US 441 ~ in Tavares take Old US Hwy 441 into Mt Dora.

Our Breakfast offers Wide Selections: Beginning with one of Margie's HOME Baked Breads - Pumpkin, Banana, Cranberry, Etc. and NUTS!! FRESH Fruit Platter (in season - 'Golden Pineapple' grown ON SITE); Assorted Juices (from December to JULY!! From our trees - Orange Juice Squeezed Daily); then EGGS - Randy does Margie's 'Moms Eggs' (he calls them 'Fried Poached') or his Special GIANT Omelets. Or he might do HIS Fresh FRUIT PANCAKES... simmered in Butter, these are more like a Dessert!! Margie also Bakes one of her Special 'Egg Casseroles - with various combinations of Breads, Potatoes, Cheese, Sausage, Ham, Bacon, Spinach, Tomato, Mushroom, MORE - ALL DELICIOUS!! And always a Side of MEAT; Sausage Patties, Links, Bacon, Ham, 'Little' Smokeys, Canadian Bacon, Sliced 'Special Gourmet Sausages', OR?? And Finally, Margie does something Sweet; her 'French Toast' (not like ANY French Toast you have, unless you have been our Guest BEFORE!!) or maybe her 'Sinful Buns' made with butter, cinnamon, sugar, more!! With this all said, Breakfasts with Special diet restrictions are available... Just Please let us Know at CHECK-IN!!
Policies - Minimum stay required (Holiday and Special Events 2-3 nights / Summer no minimum)
- Smoking is allowed outside only (Smoking outside / away from the House)
- Limited accommodations for guest pets (One room is Pet Friendly - Direct Outside Entrance)
- Limitations on children staying (Well behaved children w/responsible adults are welcome)
- No childcare is provided
- Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Guests may bring alcoholic beverages / refrig's in all rooms)
- Deposit amount required (One night's lodging or 50% of total lodging for advance reservation)
- Check in time is 3 - 6 pm and Check out time is by 11 am
- Cancellations:
In the unfortunate event that you must cancel, with Reasonable notice, we prefer to Reschedule your visit to a more convenient date. However, deposits are refundable in the form of a Gift Certificate for future redemption if you cancel at least 15 days prior to your arrival date (*30 days prior to Festival/Holiday weekends)and cancellations must be in writing, eMail is FINE! We owned/operated Heron Cay Intracoastal B&B in Jupiter until 2002 before buying Darst's Victorian Manor & moving to Mount Dora. - The innkeepers speak: English
