Quietly located three blocks from the center of historic Monticello, this beautifully restored mansion and grounds has eight fireplaces with candles in each extra large bedroom with private baths, period antiques, original paint colors and even a cuppola on top to view the town.     • Our signature dish is Pecan Waffles
      Requested over and over these waffles are made like Grandma used to make from scratch with beaten egg whites and served hot from the waffle iron. The large plentiful pecans are grown from trees in the yard or locally. Melted real butter and warm pecan syrup which tastes like the best melted candy you ever ate put guests in heaven. They are served with homemade breakfast sausage from the highly acclaimed local locker plant. I also have fresh fruit salad every morning and eggs upon request. The apple-pecan/Kahlua icing mini muffins run a close second for popularity. Come Enjoy!

    This is the front parlour done in the original paint color which reflects candlelight beautifully. This area is used for family get togethers, morning coffee and newspaper, as well as tea time and wine or drinks.  The 12 foot Christmas tree and decorations make this room breathtaking at the Holidays.This is the main foyer and entrance of The 1872 John Denham House.  Friendly and lovable Sissisu (a Lhasa Apso) loves each and every guest. Please come visit us.
    Honeymoon/Anniversary Suite Voted "one of top 20 places to spend your honeymoon in Florida"  by Florida Magazine,2004. Candles in the fireplace, Champagne, chocolates and roses are included in our special romance package  This very large room has a king bed with hand pressed Ralph Lauren Sheets and down comforter with duvet.  See the wonderfully large bath and clawfoot tub roomy  enough for two is attached to it.This is the beautiful old worlde dining area.  You'll enjoy your gourmet breakfast with candles for special occasions.
    This is the Camillia Room, named after the many Camillia trees with beautiful blossoms grown on the grounds and original camellia light fixture.  The pinks replicate the colors of the Camillas. It has a queen and also twin trundle/daybed for extra persons.  Candles in the fireplace and a lucious bath in the antique clawfoot tub/shower in the bathroom complete a wonderful picture and stay.Come sit a spell on the front porch and chat or just enjoy the quiet with only the courthouse clock chiming the hour. The church chimes plays patriotic songs or hymns from time to time.  Two overhead fans and a glass of specially brewed iced tea will keep you cool.
    This is the large beautiful bath attached to the Honeymoon/Anniversary  Suite.  It boasts a tub built for two as well as a shower, dressing table and bath soothers.Welcome to the ever so romantic Lacey Honeymoon Suite.  The oversized Mahogany king bed with lace canopy is unforgetable.  The golden glow of candles in the fireplace add so much.  Sink into the bubbles in the large clawfoot tub which also has a shower and enjoy!
