Lovely setting, especially for breakfast & afternoon leisure time in garden. Host's thought of every little detail to make stay most enjoyable. Exceeded our expectations.

The Mermaid & Alligator set the benchmark for all other B&B to strive for. Both Geri and Rebecca were fantastic taking care of our dinner reservation and helping with places to visit. Caya set the tempo to everything she is truly amazing, who is she she I guess who will have to visit this wonderful B&B.to find out !

First visit to Key West. Had a great time interacting with other guests and our very attentive hosts. They were always ready to assist with any thing we needed. The grounds and house were meticulously kept and very inviting. Next time to Key West will definitely be staying at the Mermaid and Alligator.

Love The Mermaid & the Alligator

5 on January 24, 2016

The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, quiet, private, and in perfect harmony with the Key West way of life. We have stayed there four times in the last six years, and each time is better than the previous visits. Breakfast is expertly created and available when you want it. Always delicious! The location is quiet, yet a short walk to many local restaurants and historic sites. Be sure to plan ahead as vacancies are hard to come by!

The best in key west !

Key West hospitality is relaxing surroundings

5 on January 15, 2016

We had a great stay at the Mermaid & Alligator in January 2016. Our few days were made all the better from our lovely relaxed and luxurious surroundings. Dean, Paul and their team have thought of everything, down to beach towels and sunscreen, to help make your stay all it can be. Excellent breakfast with savoury or sweet hot offering alternating day to day. Glass of lemonade on arrival in the afternoon or wine later in the day is also a nice touch. We stayed in the Caribbean Queen room which was delightful with its' lush furnishings and wrap around veranda. Many thanks too to Caya (the flat coated retriever) for our games of 'tug' and cuddles!

A place worth a return visit

Our first B&B experience and it was fantastic. Just the right amount of interaction versus privacy. Very clean place. Beautiful gardens and lovely homemade breakfast each day. Continental breakfast was also available. A nice bottle of wine was out each evening for anyone who wished to enjoy it. We had a beautifully appointed room and a large private balcony to enjoy. Just a great place to stay.

Thanksgiving

Just spent 5 wonderful days in Key West at Mermaid over Thanksgiving. The landscaping and decor are absolutely pleasant and romantic. If you cannot relax in this setting ... You can't relax!!! Paul and Dean are very accommodating hosts. Would recommend to any and would stay there again myself.

Beautiful Inn in the Keys

5 on May 27, 2015

We stayed here for our anniversary and it was perfect! The room, the courtyard, the service and the location were wonderful. We stayed in the Lime room. It is one of t he smaller rooms but we loved it. It's located in the courtyard so we had extra privacy and a great little porch to sit out with our coffee. The room was so clean and the daily maid service was great. They cleaned everyday and replaced all the towels daily. The breakfast every morning was wonderful. It was so nice to start the day in the beautiful courtyard. The employees that work here are wonderful and very helpful. They know the island well and can help book any excursions you may want to go on. I highly recommend this great little place and any future trips to the keys will be spent staying here.
