The Knowles House

My Wife was at Knowles House for (only) 4 Days in February 2013. We at first meeting with Christina felt at Home. That is important for us, travelling from Norway to Key West. I have posted on my blog (English).. Regarding Dining score: This is a B &B, but they recommende the best for Fish and shell fish lovers in Key West http://toraa.blogspot.no/2013/03/knowles-house-at-key-west-florida-usa.html We will be back (unless our recomendations doubles the prices) ;.)

Les and Paul were very welcoming and made us feel very much at home yet as special guests at the same time! Clean, quiet and lovely to come back to after a busy day. We will definitely return the next chance we have. John and Susie

My husband and I have stayed in many accommodations in Key West from humble cottages to waterfront resorts. However none compared to the comfort or cleanliness of this B&B, or the warm welcome and loving attention each guest is given. Our room was one of 3 that opened onto the pool. It was spacious and included not only a small frig but 2 very comfortable queen beds. Magda made certain every day that our room was thoroughly cleaned and linens were fresh. The house itself is quiet despite being within easy walking distance to Duval. Even sitting on the front porch which faces Eaton St was peaceful. Breakfast was generous and delicious, sometimes with additional goodies from Paul, and was available for several hours each morning. If I felt like sleeping late, the ample breakfast was still there. Before we left we made reservations to return to the Knowles House in November. It was the first time we've ever returned to a B&B, but won't be our last stay at Knowles House. We've finally found our "home away from home"!

Great place! We traveled to Key West with a group and we all stayed at Knowles B&B. Wonderful place to stay with adorable rooms, beautiful property and for Les & Paul, what can I say! Everything was like being in a home away from home. Thank you

This was a great B&B close enough to the heart of Key West but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. The rooms were very clean and the whole house was a perfect quaint B&B feel. Would go again without question.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The B&B was well situated to the areas we wished to see. The staff was more than helpful as they were very professional. If you like quaint this is it. We enjoyed the poolside breakfast each day. Very nice! The plunge pool was a delight; available 24 hours a day.

Everybody was really nice but I couldn't recommend this place to my friends. Our room (English Colonial #3) was extremely small and super noisy! I did not get a single good night's sleep. If it wasn't for the street noise coming from Eaton, then there was always a mechanical noise coming from the room below. Note that we also opted not to use the a/c in our room due to its noise. The breakfast did not impress either (in my opinion). Plastic-bagged bread and bagels from the supermarket, cold boiled eggs, pineapple from the can, cereal and fatfree yoghurt. We chose to pay extra and eat elsewhere. Upon our arrival we also got some bad advise on where to have lunch and ended up with some pretty bad food.

Les and Paul where outstanding. They helped us with anything we needed. Thanks for a pleasent stay. We appreciate your hospitalitiy. The both of yous are outstanding and if we are ever in the area we will shorly stay there again. Thank You so much, Kathy and John Christiansen (Delaware)

What a great way to enjoy Key West..so close to everything

My wife and I chose this place for our honeymoon, I have stayed in KW several times and by far a B&B is the best way. Both Les and Paul gave us tips for the best adventure cruises and great resturants and what is worth a visit on the island. Every room is themed in a unique way, tastefully decorated, air conditoned comfortable with special mattress, I slept like a rock.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Knowles House on our first trip to Key West. The inkeepers were fantastic, they were very helpful and provided us with excellent advice on dining, shopping, and things to see in the area. Our room was clean, beautifully furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a wonderful weekend at the Knowles House and will definitely return there on our next trip to Key West!

Let me start by saying "WOW," because that's the way Les, & Paul made my wife Kelly and me feel for four blissful days in paradise. From our room, to relaxing in the pool, & Jacuzzi, the fantastic breakfast, their suggestions on where to eat and things to do...WOW! Stayed at the Knowles House over Fantasy Fest. The innkeepers, Les and Paul, could not have been more accommodating. Enjoyed the morning chats around the pool. I have been staying there 3 years in a row.

Les and Paul were absolutely wonderful. The inn was clean!!! The location was off Duval, but close enough to walk to. This made it the ideal location to stay in Key West. This was our second visit to Key West and our first visit to Knowles House. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to friends, family or anyone else who wants to have a delightful visit to Key West/

A wonderful B&B and Les and Paul, the owners, are without a doubt the best. When we left, we felt we had a family in Key West. Wonderful!

The Knowles House gave us a fabulous experience- Les and Paul have a wonderful, quaint set up. I've stayed there twice and would definitely go back again!

Les and Paul were warm, knowledgable and gracious hosts - the room was comfortable and clean - the location of the B&B was in a quiet neighborhood near Duval and a short walk to the harbor. There was an excellent breakfast buffet, the small pool was perfect after a humid day walking all over town. Ask either of the hosts for recommendations for attractions or restaurants - they know ALL about them! We highly recommend Knowles House!

This is a great Bed and Breakfast! Les and Paul are wonderfull people, always going above and beyond to accomodate you! Great location to where we want to be, without all the noise. Just perfect really!!!!

From the moment my wife and I entered the Knowles House we were treated better than family. Our stay with Les and Paul left us wanting for nothing. Les and Paul were Knoledgeable about the Island and were always more than willing to give suggestions for things to do, from dining to activities this was the first bed and breakfast I have stayed at in Key West and for future stays in Key west the Knowles House will be the only place we will be staying. The other guests were friendly, and we have made friends on a international scale. Hanging on the wall near the pool area there is a sign that said, (para phrase) there are no strangers here just friends that have not yet met, this rang vary true. Our stay with Les and Paul is one that will not be soon forgotten. Thank you Les and Paul for a outsting stay. Mike & Jill Jutras

A great location within walking distance of Duvall Street and the marina. Les and Paul really know Key West inside and out, and are more than willing to give recommendations or help with reservations. Knowles House has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere without being overbearing or pushy. Comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms overlook a gorgeous outdoor area. My husband and I hope to get back there soon! :)

Great location - a short walk to Duval street, but without all the noise and crowds, even closer to the marinas. Unparallelled service! A great value for a great time!

Hi, I have stayed at the knowles house 3 times. Each time Paul and Les (The owners) have been very accomodating. They really know the town, the restaurants, and everything that goes on, on the island. They can arrange just about anything. Thanks so much. Can't wait to go back to the keys.
