Love staying here,cute and quaint.

This is 2nd year we have stayed here for 1 night. We really love the vibe here, very comfortable and laid back atmosphere. Enjoy meeting the other guests in the evening by the small pool. We plan to return next year for a 2-3 night stay. Must mention the kitty cats that reside here, always happy to have their ears rubbed.

The whole atmosphere was relaxing. The staff were so friendly and polite. Breakfast was an unexpected bonus. We have only stayed at big chain hotels previously this was a very nice change. I will stay here again!

Gorgeous room on beautiful grounds

4.0 on March 22, 2015

Our room (library) was beautiful, clean, and full of light (although on the bottom floor so it's possible for other guests to see in if you're bothered by that sort of thing, although closing the shutters takes care of any would be peepers.) The half barrier wall and lush plantings take care of any noise from the busy(ish) street outside. As far as the service, we were in key west to catch the boat to dry tortugas, so we weren't really in need of any advice on how to enjoy the city, we just wanted to be checked in and tucked away promptly and courteously, which we were. If you're the type who goes to bed and breakfasts for the food, I would suggest another spot, as this one was very basic. My partner and I are not, so we found this to be quite a lovely little place, I would recommend to any of my friends.

4 years in a row for our Anniversary!!!!!

My husband and I go down there every year on our motorcycle. We enjoy this B&B so much! It's quaint, unique and close to Duval....wouldn't recommend it for young children. It's more of an adult atmosphere.

Wonderful Place to stay!

4.6 on March 18, 2015

We found this Guest house in a guidebook, and were very pleased with our choice. It is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of most points of interest - we are hardy walkers though. The concierge (Sandy) was exceptionally helpful, and the staff more than accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a shared deck. We had a microwave and refrigerator in our room so we were able to keep some snacks and leftovers. The hot tub was really lovely. Yes, we would go there again and recommend it!

Excellent

We loved our stay at the Author's Guesthouse. It was our first time there for my wife and myself, and we were in the Library. Both the room and the premises looked nicer in real life than the pictures. The staff is friendly and neighborhood is quieter than some others in KW. Parking is also easily available. Recommended!

Loved Authors Guesthouse!

This B&B was fantastic! My dad and I did a road trip to the Keys and stayed in the Kirkwood room with one queen bed and one twin. Both beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was as expected - bagels and fruit. Overall, I loved my stay!
