Pine Lodge Bed & Breakfast

We loved the thoughtful touches at the Pine Lodge, and when we return to Florida, we plan to make it a point to see Josie and Sergio and book another stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Josi and Sergio are really sweet and were very concerned about our comfort. Everything was extremely clean, you could eat off the floors! It's in a really quiet area, which I found really enjoyable. We went to swim with the manatees, which was only about 20 minutes away about. I would definitely recommend the Pine Lodge and would stay there again. : )

We really enjoyed our 2 night visit to this B & B. The owners are great and their service went beyond what we expected. It is truly a wonderful place to stay and since it's so close for fishing we will stay there again A Osteen

Innkeepers were very helpful with last minute details. So friendly, with good suggestions for activities in the area. Rooms are comfy, quiet and private. Pool is a nice luxury. Food was amazing and additional meals can be ordered ahead of time if desired. I plan to go back and bring more of my family. LMM

We loved our weekend stay at the Pine Lodge. Sergio and Josie were wonderful hosts and very attentive. The room was beautiful and cozy and the meals delicious. It felt very much like visiting friends without losing the privacy of an intimate getaway. Lots to enjoy nearby and a relaxing saltwater pool to come back to! Definitely a place we will visit many more times!!!

This B&B is a real gem. It's just a couple miles off the beaten path of US19 north of Crystal River in Inglis near Yankeetown where Elvis filmed "Follow that Dream" in 1962. In fact the crew resided and held their meetings at the Pine Lodge during the shoot. We stayed in the Nautical room, a 2 room suite in the front of the main house on the 2nd floor. It was well appointed in antiques, and the decor was pure Nantucket, lobster buoys and all. The compound also has small cottages and a nice screened in pool. All that said, the best part of the experience is enjoying the hospitality of the owners, Josi and Sergio, who are Brazilian. It was our anniversary, so I requested roses for the room. Not only did we get roses, Josi decorated the vase with tiny hearts and put out an elegant meat, cheese and fruit snack tray for our arrival. Nice touch. That's just one sample of the care and attention to detail you'll experience at Pine Lodge. Breakfasts are creative and very tasty. Sergio is a great storyteller who has lived an extraordinary life full of twists and turns, but with a happy ending. There's plenty to do in the area, admiring the awesome sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico, swimming with manatees, kayaking or tubing down the pristine Rainbow Springs, or just cruising around Crystal River. Gourmets will enjoy Vintage on 5th in Crystal River, or if you find yourself near Spring Hill, La Nouvelle Cuisine is one of the best little French restaurants this side of pond. Make a plan and book a room at the Pine Lodge. You'll leave with a relaxed smile on your face.

We celebrated our anniversary at the Pine Lodge and we were very impressed with the room and the awesome food! It was a great place to just relax and enjoy the quiet town of Inglis. The Inkeepers were so easy to talk to and shared stories about the inn and the surrounding area of things to do. They made our anniversary very special. After a magical but tiring day kayaking the rainbow river, the Pine Lodge in Historical cracker town was just what we wanted for our anniversary. Lovely furnishing, cordial Hosts helpful in every way and very peaceful surrounds capped off our special day in a special way.

We booked a room last minute so we didn’t have to travel back to Tampa and we certainly had a great experience. Josi and Sergio are friendly and warm, they have that Latino hospitality think that make you feel home at their house. The room was perfect, breakfast was delicious and the service outstanding. We stayed for three nights at the Pine Lodge in Inglis, FL. It was very pleasurable, beginning with the warm welcome, including cold drinks, and by far not ending with the delicious breakfast, which Josi and Sergio made every morning. Even when we left at 5:30 in the morning, to attend a snorkle trip with the manatees in Crystal River, Josi fixed us something in the evening and put it in the fridge…. The both provided us with lots of ideas, how to spend our days and evenings… The Lodge itself consists of a main house with several rooms and some cottages placed in a beautiful garden with a large swimming pool. The cottage rooms are generous and perfectly clean. Josi and Sergio took over the Lodge only three weeks ago and don't want to have only guests, but to make friends, and that just works out. We enjoyed our stay very much and have to thank Josi and Sergio, who made it just perfect. Robbie and Corina from Germany

This has got to be the BEST lodging experience of our lives. We only stayed two days but we could've stayed there month. We have never felt more welcomed to be anyplace no matter where we have stayed. Edwin and Lea are the owners and they made us feel like family. The entire property is beautiful. The rooms are perfect in every way and the breakfasts are out of this world, fresh made and nothing held back, you couldn't ask for more. This is by far the best value of anything around. We just came home from a 2 night stay. Lea and Edwin are phenomenal people and the service was impeechable. The food is out of this world. We WILL return to the PINE LODGE BED AND BREAKFAST. If we are looking for a place to stay or maybe even have a special occasion we would return. Would love to have a wedding here.

Our experience at the Pine Lodge B&B was amazing. Lea and Edwin were great! They were not only very heplful with provoding information about what to do and where to go, but they were genuinely kind and considerate, doing whatever necessary to make our stay the best it could be. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and something different everyday! The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The grounds were also beautiful! I enjoyed the pool, looking at al the neat native-american photos and items, relaxing in the gazebo, searching for the rabbits, watching the birds, checking out the pond filled with tadpoles, and relaxing to the sounds of nature in the evening. We enjoyed nearby Homosassa Springs and loved Rainbow Springs (a must to go and see...kayaking/canoeing or tubing). I can't say enough about how great this trip was, and our stay at the Pine Lodge is a huge part of this. We look forward to staying here again soon. Bernadette & Rafael

We stayed at The Pine Lodge B&B in October of 2007 for a week and enjoyed it so much that we stayed an additional week! You will not find a better place to relax or get re-energized than here! Lea and Edwin are both extraordinary hosts who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Lea’s breakfasts are superb (especially the blueberry pancakes) and different each day and Edwin’s wonderful wit made us feel right at home. The rooms are very large, clean and beautifully appointed and the salt-water pool felt great! The landscaping is impressive and the peacefulness and tranquility permeate the entire setting. We went to “Our Pub” with Lea, Edwin and their friends and we had an absolutely unforgettable time! What a blast!! This is a great area for antiquing or thrifting and I hadn’t been to Weeki-Wachi to see the Mermaids since I was a child, so of course, we had to go. Great nostalgia! So much to do, too! Stay here, you’ll love it! Lea and Edwin, Thanks for the great times!

The Pine Lodge B&B is very quaint, very well restored, very quiet and close enough to Cedar Key and Crystal River to see the sights and retire to a comfortable bed. The breakfast was fantastic and a choice in a non-egg breakfast was offered to my egg-sensitive wife. Edwin and Lea are wonderful hosts and have created a very nice homey atmosphere.

Dear Edwin and Lea, Thank you again for the wonderful stay at your place. You are fabulous hosts and the wonderful breakfasts certainly kept us going through many busy days of exploration of nature. We really felt like we had a "home away from home" at your place and that added so much to our great experience in Inglis! Your friendly attitudes along with helpful hints and suggestions truly enhanced our vacation and made it even more memorable. We stayed 3 nights and our stay was absolutely the best bed and breakfast experience we have ever had. The small towns of Inglis, Crackertown, and Yankeetown were delightful. It was so good to get away from all the commercialism associated with vacations. The Pine Lodge was immaculate and the grounds were just the same. The breakfast's were unbelievable and Edwin and Lea were very gracious and charming. We loved the "Old Florida". Edwin's recomendations were all exceptional as well. Rainbow Springs was gorgeous!!!!! We will go back

I just wanted to send you a note to commend The Pine lodge Bed and Breakfast in Inglis, Fl.. We were delighted to have spent a wonderful weekend with Edwin and Lea this past Thanksgiving. The Inn and the grounds were as beautiful and immaculate as the photos on the web site depicted. The host and his wife made us feel like we were their personal guests. The room in which we stayed was very comfortable. It had a little sitting room that was probably converted from a screened porch. It was decorated in a nautical theme with lots of cute little seafaring touches, It was so charming. Breakfasts were served in a family style in the dining room with our fellow guests. Edwin joined in to the conversation, and gave us suggestions on how to enjoy the sleepy back woods area of beautiful central Florida. My husband and I simply adore the Pine Lodge Bed and Breakfast! The hosts, Edwin and Lea, make you feel welcome and special the moment you arrive. The breakfasts are delicious and the entire bed and breakfast is immaculate! If you happen to be a birder, be sure and ask the hosts for the scoop on the many nearby birding trails.

Quiet and great food with wonderful hosts. I'll go back and take all the family. Just a great two days. You'll love it.

The hosts are wonderful people, the setting rural,low key, close to everything. A great saltwater pool,bikes and grill you can use, nicely decorated rooms,new big TV's, and GREAT beds! You are made to feel important with their tremendous British manners/demeanor & their service mentality. Owner Ed Day is a stitch! We wish we could have stayed longer, definately coming back next year. Lots of things to do around, traffic volume is low, truly a vacation spot that needs to be kept an exclusive secret!

We can highly recommend this bed and breakfast as a top-notch place to stay. We arrived tired and weary after a long day of travelling to the friendly greeting of our host Edwin who made us welcome and suggested a local restaurant down the road for dinner. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Each room has its own modern bathroom with lots of towels and good water pressure for showers. Lots of hot water too! Our hostess Lea prepared wonderful, tasty breakfasts. We stayed four days and each morning we had a different breakfast selection. We enjoyed the other guests who were staying at the location and exchanged great conversation. Edwin was so helpful in giving us hints on where to eat and what interesting places to see. Unfortunately, the temperature was not ideal for swimming but the heated pool on site sure would be inviting if it had been a bit warmer. It was nice to find a place a bit out of the "madness" of some Florida areas. We were able to enjoy the birds and "bunnies" in this quiet spot.
