The Laughing Lizard B & B is a tin-roofed, three-story, Key Westy island home built in 2005. Fifty-six windows offer a view of beachlife as it happens in what USA Today termed as “the best beach town of all”—Indian Rocks Beach. The style here is casual and laid back with creatively colorful eclectic guestrooms—each with private bath. Enjoy breakfast in Lizard Hall; stroll 400’ to the beach for a morning walk; and ride the local beach trolley to wonderful restaurants, parks, etc. At day’s end, sip afternoon wine and experience the sunset…maybe even the famous "green flash."

The Shy Salamander is a lovely, spacious room with wonderful local historic and eclectic interior decorations. Cindi and Bill were gracious innkeepers with great knowledge of and suggestions for touring the area. The delicious breakfasts and afternoon wine tasting with appetizers provided the perfect settings for conversations with new and interesting folks. Donna & Gale (March 2013)

Spent six lovely days here in February. Great B&B - delicious food, great location. Bill & Cindi were the perfect hosts, always accommodating and full of local knowledge -- directions, dining suggestions, and places to see. The only way our stay could have been improved was for it to have been longer!

We had only a short three night stay. Bill and Cindi were very welcoming, and had some interesting chats with them and other guests over excellent breakfasts and evening 'wine tasting'. IRB is quiet but Laughing Lizard is only a block away from the beach. Wish we could have stayed here longer!

4.8 out of 5A Great Place to Stay
December 15, 2011
We enjoyed our short stay at the Laughing Lizard. The room was nice and we enjoyed both the delicious breakfasts and the afternoon wine tastings. Bill, the Innkeeper, was very helpful in introducing us to nearby places to see and restaurants to visit. We also had some nice conversations with him. We really liked the Indian Rocks Beach community. It was quiet yet still had plenty to do. This made for a very pleasant beach experience - with little crowds and a lovely expansive beach to explore. We wished we lived closer so we could come back often.
5 out of 5Laughing Lizard wonderful getaway
November 16, 2011
We just got back from nine days of vacation and stayed at the Laughing Lizard. We stayed in the Crimson Cameleon. Queen sized bed in the main room, with desk, two comfy chairs, two bedside tables and tall dresser. Two side rooms. Walk in closet with room to hang stuff, and leave your suitcases, bathrobes too. Other room was the bathroom with nice sink, toilet, and walk in shower.. shower not huge but decent enough. Plenty of towels, even beach towels and extra bedding in the dresser. View of the ocean, two windows with shades that can help with the morning sun. Small TV with remote. Excellent room! Good bed! Three rooms upstairs, with a laundry room right next to our room. Ask Bill and if you are staying long, can get a bit of laundry done!! Thanks Bill! Downstairs is delightful place to hang out and one more room. Nice big kitchen with small fridge for guest use. Counter seating for evening wine tasting and sangria, regular juice for non-drinkers, snack as well. One big table, one smaller for breakfast, which are small fruit dish, then nice main dish like waffles, fruit and sausage. Yummy! Living room with good seating to watch nice sized TV. Good for hanging out and chatting with other guests. Lots of stairs, but there is a ramp and small elevator. Right across the street is the beach, and the B&B has nice outside seating and lounge chairs on the patio. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available. Good parking. Fairly quiet at night, some traffic but not noticeable at night. Walking distance to restaurants and stores, and ice cream shops! We would definitely come again and plan to stay here! Bill is a great host and very knowledgeable about the area and how to get places. Wonderful stay!! Thanks Bill!
