A wondeful place to relax. My Wife and I got married here 10 yrs. ago. We stayed again in the Cottage . Looking out the patio doors at the Gazebo where we held the wedding sermony. Staff is very friendly, and the breakfast spoils one. Life slows down when around this place. Thanks for renewing memories. Thanks D. & D.

We return year after year to this perfect spot on Holmes Beach because we love the comfortable elegance, the competent friendly staff, the delicious, varied breakfast, and , of course the beautiful beach. There are many places close by to visit on the occasional less than perfect beach day. Also must mention the friends we,ve made who also return year after year.

This was our second stay at the Harrington House, and we found it even more enchanting than our first visit. The staff can't do enough for you. You definitely are made to feel that you are a member of the family here. Full, fresh breakfasts by the gulf are wonderful. You can't beat the overall surroundings and hospitality that you get here.

I decided to take a last minute trip. Most places were booked, but they had three nights available. I could not have stayed at a better place. I felt like I was staying with old friends. A fabulous breakfast watching the surf, what could be better? Well the sunsets were pretty good to. The staff was so friendly and met every need. The rooms were very nice and the bed was excellent. I wish they had more nights available because I would have stayed longer. I can’t wait to go back.

Harrington House is a complex of buildings right on the beach. There are big differences between the layouts of the various accommodations. Nevertheless, all are well maintained in a lovely setting. The rates are high, but worth it. The breakfast is delicious and very complete. We stayed in Dodt House #2. It had 2 bedrooms and a surprisingly large living room and kitchen and dining room. The only thing to be aware of is that, since it is a collection of buildings, it is not a typical B&B. Usually you are in one house with just a few rooms. This complex has close to 20 rooms, so it feels more like a small, boutique hotel. The beach here is beautiful and Anna Maria Island is quite charming and low key with some very good restaurants. I will definitely return.

I first tried to book a cottage on Anna Maria Island, but found the experience frustrating because once charges were added in at the end the price went way up. At Harrington, I paid the nightly rate plus tax, no surprises. Location was very convenient, grounds were sparkling, the beach was fantastic, the service was impeccable, internet access was easy, and the breakfast was fabulous. We took advantage of their bikes and ocean kayak. We walked, biked, or took the trolley while on the island, only driving to Longboat Key and the mainland.

My friends and I have stayed at Dodt House and twice in the Villas. Very different experiences - Dodt House is rustic and the villas are elegant and both have porch & balcony overlooking the beach and beautiful sunsets! The hosts are very accommodating and the Harrington House breakfasts are superb. It's an ideal getaway for any occasion.

My husband and I stayed at the Harrington House over New Years. It was the best New Years Eve!! The inkeeper provided a little party, some wine and cheese and other goodies. We met a lot of really nice people. Home away from home!!! Perfect in every way!!!

We stayed at the Harrington for the second time in December. We have decided to make it an annual event. The inn is quaint and cozy and the innkeepers make all the guests feel like family without smothering. It was too cool to enjoy the beautiful beach and pool, so we decided we want to go again this Spring or Summer The peace and quiet at the inn is just what we needed to get away from it all. The location is close enough to the city and St. Armonds with lots of things to do. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This was our fifth time staying at the Harrington House and it always exceeds our expectations. The service and staff are friendly and make you feel at home. It has a beautiful beachfront you can wander for hours or just relax and enjoy. Very highly recommended.

My husband and I married last week at the Harrington House and have been pleased with our new friends there and look forward to returning each year to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment I booked through checking out we had a positive experience. The owners and the staff were welcoming, and ensured an intimate, warm, personalized experience for us that we will always treasure. The breakfast was the highlight of our day, not only because the meals were cooked to order, but also because the hostess and staff talked with us and other guests and offered such great care while we were there. We always felt like we were right at home and hated to leave. Amenities spotless, ambiance enveloping, and personalization impeccable. In a world where there are so many places that look alike and treat you with sterile reception, the Harrington House was such a nice reminder of what staying away from home--and in our case, celebrating our marriage--could be. I greatly appreciated the list of vendors they provided after I made the initial reservation. We found each recommendation spot on and would highly recommend Harrington House to others who are looking for a personalized experience. Cannot wait to get back each year at this time, or more often if possible.

We only spent one night and left before breakfast, but from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt like we were home except with a staff who anticipated our every need.

A great surprise to find this kink of lodging "so British" on AnaMaria Island. This is the place where will will stay again if we have the opportunity to be back in this area;

This is my third time to stay at Harrington House and it was wonderful, as always. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beach location is amazing, and the breakfasts are delicious! The staff is so friendly and accommodating - they even have bicycles to borrow for a ride around the island. During your visit, be sure to stop in at Bella Mia on Manatee Ave. for an authentic and delicious Italian meal.

We had the most enjoyable stay at the Harrington House. The staff really does treat you like family, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our lodgings were beautiful, and breakfast each morning was beyond our expectations! We will be back!

This was our first B&B and what a fantastic place! The hosts are great, the location perfect, the homemade choccolate chip cookies hit the spot, and the room with a veranda was SWEET! What a pleasant way to spend my birthday (with chocolate covered strawberries awaiting me). We will be back! (We were referring by my SIL who got married there 10 years ago next month!)

We stayed 6 persons in Dodt 3. Plenty of space, wiew over the Gulf. We loved it! Velcoming staff that served us an exellent breakfast. We are absolutely coming back!

We had the opportunity to stay at the Harrington House B&B at the end of Oct 2012 and I have to admit, we found a gem. The accomadations were exquisite and the breakfast was 4 stars! We were treated like members of the family unlike any other resort that we have vacationed at. The view of the ocean right from our balcony was fantastic and there were very few people on the beach. It was like we had the whole place to ourselves. Bikes were readily available and beach chairs and umbrellas were instantly available. We never had to worry about "reserving" our beach chairs. We also took out the kayaks and all of this was included in the price. We had never stayed in a B&B before this but now, after staying at the Carriage House #2, we will definitely be going back. Our time at Harrington House was restive and peacefuland included many long walks on the beach. Our favorite part of our stay was sitting on our balcony overlooking the ocean and sipping a glass of wine as we watched the sun set. What a fabulous getaway!!!

Planned a get away with girlfriends from college, we had the most amazing time staying at the Harrington House. Stayed in Dodt House suite 3. The rooms where great but the view from the deck was amazing. It was so nice to have bikes and breakfast included. We made great use of the bikes roaming around the island. The teahouse breakfast was a nice surprise. It was so much more than we expected. The food was delicious. Whether we had the breakfast special or something cooked to order. The staff was outstanding. We knew everyone by the time we left. We were all so sad to leave. Can’t wait to go back with my husband!

This was our 6th year staying at Harrington House for our wedding anniversary. We love the atmosphere, the service, the beautiful beach and the clean rooms, and of course breakfast.

This is one of my favorite B&B's ever. Quiet, clean, peaceful and on the beach. I love that there is a pool and you can have a lovely morning and afternoon walk on the beach. I have stayed now 3 times and would stay again.

We have visited the Harrington House on two anniversaries, both pretty significant ones and we have loved every moment we've stayed there. From the walk down the beach to the main house for the fabulous breakfasts and excellent service, to the quiet and peaceful porch on our end of the Huth House, to the expanse of beach that awaits you from all the properties of the Harrington House, you can feel like you are miles away. We look forward to staying there again soon and we promise it won't be for another anniversary but just a another wonderful visit!

We were looking for a place on Anna Maria close to the beach for our 25th wedding anniversary celebration. We were thrilled with Harriington House!! We had breakfast by the pool; chairs & towels for the beach (which was directly out our room door!) and Kayaks to use - which my husband enjoyed with a dolphin playing around him. When we return for such a trip, we will definitely try to book the Harrington House!!

We had a lovely stay at Harrington House at the end of September 2012 with a warm welcome from friendly staff and a very pleasant personable conversation with Mark about the historic nature surrounding this beautiful place. Birdsong Room on the second floor in the main house was above our expectations with excellent views of the Gulf of Mexico. This romantic room was so pretty and so clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had two doors leading to our outside covered deck that overlooked the pool and the white sandy beach. The view was also quite beautiful in the evening. We enjoyed a wonderful gourmet breakfast in the elegant dinning room of the main house with outstanding service by the staff. My husband and I enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs and towels positioning ourselves close to the water listening to the waves and toasting all the moments we have shared together in our life. We had a wonderful dinner at The Waterfront having a cozy table with a pretty view. We have had vacations abroad in Italy, France and Spain and Harrington House is a secret gem right here in Florida where we live. This is our new lovely escape with superb location and attention to detail. We plan on returning to Harrington House again very soon as it truly is another Day in Paradise when you visit.

My Wife & I Spent Our Annivesary In September At This Beautiful B&B (Bungalow 1), Great Beaches, Great Service, Lots To Do, Awesome Breakfast! You Wont Be Disapointed.

We spent 3 nights at HH in September 2012 and ejoyed greatly. I had high expectations because friends have stayed there and expectations were met -and exceeded in service and breakfast. Beach is beautiful. Plan to return next year.

The people and the location were grate. We can't say enough about the Harrington House, can't wait to return, this will be our beach escape place to stay.

Went for our 60th anniversary. We live in Florida and are well-acquainted with Gulf Beaches resorts. They even went above-and-beyond by taking care of us for the afternoon after we had checked out and had to have our car fixed. We'll be back for our 61st anniversary.

We were looking for a spot where we could relax and have no worries. The Harrington House had everything we needed. We could have packed nothing but a bathing suit and been fine. Great food and restaurants, gorgeous beach, kayaks and bikes kept us busy all weekend. For a group of busy Mom's it was the perfect Girls Getaway. My only complaint is that we wanted to book next year but they are changing to minimum to a 7 day stay in the bungalows. Very disappointing.

This is a storybook Florida location. A quiet hideaway with great views, a friednly staff and delicious breakfasts. I recommned this B&B very highly.

We had a wonderful time. It's a very beautiful place; the beach is lovely and the Bed & Breakfast is very tastefully decorated and quiet. We were able to get lots of rest, which is why we went in the first place. We plan on returning next month for a few days, too!

My husband and I both grew up on the west coast of Florida. The beach places we stayed at with our families as children were smaller, mostly family run inns and motels. Harrington House Bed and Breakfast is the closest we've come to the "old Florida beach" experience with a touch more elegance and more amenities. We love it and our teenage children love it. We will surely return again and again.

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast and it was amazing! We stayed in The Dodt House and it was so cozy and inviting! The cookies in the main house every day at 3:00 p.m. are a wonderful touch and SO delicious! Breakfast is outstanding and makes your stay all that much more wonderful.. The beach is gorgeous and the staff is very attentive and kind. I will stay there again for sure! :)

Finally, we had the opportunity to stay at the Harrington House B&B! We loved it! The main house and location right on the Gulf Coast was heavenly. The room was nice with breakfast outside by the pool. We especially appreciated the bikes, beach towels, sunscreen, and green tea. The owner and staff were wonderful. We want to make the HH B&B one of our frequent vacation spots. Thank you!

I look forward every summer escaping to Harrington House. The staff goes beyond to help you have the perfect "getaway'. They even blew up my float for me! I have searched other places in the area and none compare.

Passing through Florida, got a great deal on 1 night stay. When we arrived, our room was upgraded to a newly remodeled ocean view room, the Primrose. We had our own private balcony and a fantastic view of the beach. The breakfast was excellent - waffles with banana foster topping and fruit. This was our second visit here and will not be our last!

Stayed in Carraige House and loved it - wish the stay was longer than 2 nights! Service, atmosphere and breakfast was of the highest quality. Right on the beach with the beautiful white sand, shells, clear & warm brilliant green gulf waters. See the sunset anywhere on the island, not be missed!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. We are from the St Pete area so it was a quick trip for us travel wise but really felt as if we were away on vacation. We go to the Keys every other year and I must say this definitely has a Keys vibe to it.

We stayed in the Huth House a short walk down the beach from the main facility. One step off our patio to be on the beach. It was spectacular. We enjoyed the chef special for breakfast each morning. Twice after breakfast we used the free kayaks. Saw a manatee and dolphin enjoying the gentle surf. We will be back.

Perfect room and view for THE best price of less than 170 per night! Carriage 3 is THE best! Use the kayaks and bicycles whenever you want! Borrow dvds and cds from the Main House to enjoy at leisure. Already planning to come again next month!!!

We have been staying at this bed and breakfast just about every year since our honeymoon in 1992. Harrington is a charming and casually elegant B&B on a beautiful stretch of Holmes Beach. The pictures are for real- the buildings are actually on the beach. For this stay, we were in the Carriage House for the first time, instead of the main house. Our room was beautiful and cozy with a side balcony that provided a view of the beach. The Carriage House has a communal sitting room for the guests to enjoy, complete with a small kitchen, dining room table, and couches. We walked a few steps each morning to the main house for breakfast, and to swim in the pool. It is lovely to eat breakfast at one of the patio tables by the pool. Borrow a bike to explore the island, and paddle a kyak in the ocean to get an up close view of dolphins swimming by. Harrington has a variety of rooms to choose from, with a variety of price points. We found the carriage house to be very reasonably priced, given the location, amenities available, superior service, and nicely appointed rooms. We recommend Harrington House to anyone looking for a relaxing, tranquil stay on one of Florida's remaining unspoiled islands. It can be hard to choose a B&B, and you are never really sure if it will live up to its own hype. This one is the real deal. I can't imagine anyone ever leaves this place disappointed, except to wish that their vacation could last a bit longer.

This was our third visit since 2008 - and every time we return we love the Harrington House more! The peaceful sound of the gulf waves; the sunsets and sunrises; the gourmet breakfasts in the morning being greeted by staff who made us feel like family to the cozy rooms and cheerful decor - I always return home completely rested and refreshed. I missed Anne on this past visit, but was happy to hear she was on a well-deserved vacation herself. Until we see each other again - thanks for the memories!

Even with pouring down rain the Harrington House was a great way to spend time with friends.

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet weekend away and loved almost every minute of our stay at the Harrington House Bed and Breakfast. Our only disappointment was the courtesy of the other guests who filled the rest of the house. They were part of a large group in town for a wedding. Unfortunately, their activities ran late into both nights of our stay and they came in close to midnight and then stayed in the downstairs gathering area talking and laughing loudly for quite a while. Overall though, we loved the Harrington House's location, its amenitites, the Birdsong room, and the hosptitality of the staff.

We stayed at Harrington House this past weekend, June 21st in bungalow one--the bungalow was totally awesome with wonderful sparkling clean accomodations and some much appreciated quiet! Breakfst on the patio each morning facing the Gulf of Mexico was extraordinary---service and food were just excellent! Already planning a trip back soon! We came here for our anniversary and never wanted to leave!! We'll be back often!! The service was outstanding ~ they made us feel very special from the moment we arrived.

Everything about this B&B was great. The owners/staff were very generous and would go out of their way to make sure you got what you needed, even down to the breakfast that was wonderfully prepared fresh every morning, nothing heated under a lamp here. It was made fresh when and how you liked it. The view,rooms and cleanliness were outstanding. This is definitely one place my wife and I will come back to on our next vacation. From the time you walk in from parking your car, it feels like you are in your own "secret garden" getaway at the beach. And then there is the beach itself, what can I say, the sand and water are so beautiful here. We had and excellent time. It was just too short.

Fantastic location, absolutely beautiful, Huth House was amazing, the beach was awesome. Jacuzzi bathtub facing the beach was a pleasant surprise. 2 headed shower was also quite nice. Can't beat the view or sound of the ocean.

We stayed there for my husband's birthday and it was grand. We had a gorgeous view of the Gulf from two doors and two window. The decor was lovely and the room was spotless. In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast. Hot tea and elegant teapots were available at all times and chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. Everyone was very friendly and helpful both when we went to check the place out and when we actually stayed there. The Beach Bistro, a nearby resaurant that we know had highly recommended it and we thanked them for doing so.

Love this place and this is the 5th time I have stayed here. Great beaches, great breakfasts and extremely pleasant personnel. We will be back

One thing I must add is you get your moneys worth and then some. You don't find that very often. The staff that cares for your room are amazing. They take pride in making everything as perfect and comfortable as possible. I have looked for several years for a place that would give me the feeling of being in my own home with a beach out the front door that all I had to do was enjoy - Harrington House is that place.

We had a wonderful stay at the Harrington House. We lounged on the beach after sunset and enjoyed distant music. They have bikes you may use and the pier is a short ride. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed at the Harrington House last week for two nights to get away from it all. This was our fourth time staying there. Whenever we need a short getaway from Orlando where we live, we always consider the Harrington House. Our favorite room so far has been the Carriage House #1 - this incredible large room overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Imagine waking up in the morning and laying in a beautiful 4-poster king sized bed and watching the turquoise blue water and the pelicans and seagulls swooping to get their breakfast. We especially love that we can use the complimentary bikes and sea kyaks. We usually park our car and never drive again during our stay so we can ride the bikes around the island. We've indulged ourselves by having an in-room massage as well which is fantastic. The breakfasts are always prepared and presented well and they will cook to order if you don't like what they're serving that morning. I can't say enough great things about the Harrington House - what a treasure!

Stayed five nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harrington House. Everybody was so friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were full of variety and always freshly cooked. The rooms were more typical of a country inn than a beach front B & B, giving it plenty of character.. A little on the expensive side compared to English B&Bs,---- but, it's right on the beach

Have gone back time and time again. Can not find any other place in Florida quite like it... The setting is beautiful, staff is very friendly and accommodating . They have thought of everything from kayaking, biking, to swimming. A real home away from home.

Harrington House is an exceptionally fine B&B in Anna Maria Island. We stayed in the Huth house where we stepped out of our room right onto the sandy beach with the gulf waters just steps in front of us. The staff are warm and friendly and the breakfast is superb. I will most surely return to Harrington House next time I am lucky enough to get another Fla vacation!

When staying at a B&B you expect certain things to be taken care of without a request. This B&B has exceeded all of my needs and then some. If attention to detail is what you desire, than the Harrington House delivers.

We have spent our last seven vacations at Harrington House and we can't wait to return! The room we chose overlooks the sugary sand and Gulf of Mexico. The staff are attentive and professional. A true vacation gem!

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at the Harrington House B&B in Feb. We stayed in a separate property they own called the Huth House. Excellent accommodations and enjoyed the privacy of the beach front. Our sliding glass door opened out to the prettiest stretch of beach. Every morning we enjoyed a complimentary delicious full breakfast, different every day. I cannot think of one thing to criticize. We will definitely return.

The promotional material does not exaggerate in its claims. The B & B lives up to expectations from room accommodations to breakfast to friendliness. The staff is very sensitive to the needs and wants of the guests. The accommodations are not only beautiful but are maintained with the highest order of concern. This place is a treasure. We look forward to returning next year.

We spent one night. Our beautiful room was on the third floor overlooking the ocean. What could be better? We used the beach chairs and the kayaks. Enjoyed the chocolate cookies in the afternoon. Hostesses were friendly and welcoming .Delicious breakfast. We will definitely return.

Loved every minute of our stay. People are great, place is wonderful and the time is nothing but relaxing.

We reserved three rooms for our children to come for our birthday season. The renovated rooms are perfectly charming, and the staff are wonderful. All of them expressed a desire to return at the first available moment, and we will use it as a weekend retreat, too, since we live nearby. Two thumbs and two toes up!

We stay at the Huth House, which is part of the Harrington House B & B and love the room and view. This was our third trip to this B & B.

We had great weather for December. My new husband and I and my brother's family stayed in the new house they acquired across the street which were brand new and were great. My whole family stayed there for 2-3 days for our wedding, so our only disappointment is they were not open to doing anything special for a new bride and groom. My mom and dad who paid the whole bill were cramped in a tiny room in the main house and I know they unfortunately did not sleep well for all 3 nights of their stay.

Such a beautiful view of the ocean in the day & the sky at night - the privacy of the patio or the "few steps" access to the water's edge. It was simply a delight in beauty of the outdoors, the quiet and pampering in the tub and restful bed; the easy, low key access to the island spots - a wonderful location and thoughtful service touch. Year after year we return to Harrington House B & B because it's the BEST gift we can give ourselves! The sign out front says, "Come as a guest, leave as a friend!" And that is truly how it is. The folks who own, oversee, and maintain Harrington House are exceptional hosts who make you feel welcomed and pampered. The chef creates breakfasts fit for royalty that can be enjoyed on a shaded patio or in a lovely dining room - both with an outstanding view of the gulf. We have a favorite guest room that was recently beautifully redecorated. We can sleep with the sound of the waves and look out from our balcony to watch dolphins, sailboats and pelicans. The grounds are meticulously groomed. The atmosphere is quiet and inviting. Our most difficult decision is whether to kayak or bike (complementary bikes & kayaks are excellent) or just relax and read on the soft powder white sand at the edge of the gulf waves. Each year we eagerly anticipate our stay at Harrington House and leave rejuvenated and relaxed. Our only disappointment is that we need to leave!

Dear staff, I enjoyed my stay so much, and met some wonderful people while I was there. Everyone has gone above and beyond to make my weekend perfect. The only one that was missing was my better half Barry...Other than that, it was excellent and looking to come again soon. We are local residents and just stayed for two nights for a brief get-away. It was fabulous. Right on a beautiful section of the beach. Friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious breakfast. The A/C in the room could have worked better but we were outside most of the time except for sleeping. We will definitely return.

We loved the cottage! It had a perfect view, was close to the inn, but was still very private. The breakfast was amazing and a wonderful way to begin our day! We could not have asked for a more romantic setting or nicer people to make our special week possible.

What a fabulous place to spend a few days and just Breath! The staff is great. The room was so clean, even the many years old tub faucet sparkled. The grounds beautifully maintained, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. Of course, the view, spectacular! The breakfasts were a delight but not limited to the special, anything we wanted was available. Unfortunately the pool was under repair during our visit, a little disappointing. Overall, though, a real slice of heaven.

We wandered into the Harrington House looking for two nights on the beach to celebrate our 14th Anniversary. We stayed in the Birdsong room. It has big windows and screened doors out to the porch that overlooks the pool, sand and surf! We were served (yes served, not buffet style) breakfast by the pool. We had a great selection of juice, fresh fruit, pumpkin bread, eggs or even pancakes (ricotta pancakes at that). Then of course i walked right out onto the sand and took a long walk along the beach. Beach chairs and towels are right there for you too. Then the pool beckened and the temp was perfect. Of course we caught the sunset right there on the porch. The owners and staff were welcoming and fun. They made us feel so comfortable there. I would like to go back OFTEN and bring family and friends along. You can get on the free shuttle right in front of the house that takes you all around the island.

Our October stay was great! We come back every year because of the beautiful, quiet location, amenities, and friendly, helpful staff.

Great, quiet, location to walk right out on the beach. The pool was smaller than expected and breakfast portions were on the small side. Beach chairs were included but we needed to rent a beach umbrella from a local vendor. The room decor was a bit dated but functional. Enjoyed the free chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon and using the kyacks they provided.

We enjoyed this cozy place that is right on the beach. Great place to celebrate a special occasion. Breakfast is wonderful. First floor entrance in the main house has the comfy feeling of a lodge. The only negative for me is that I think it is a little too pricey even for the off season.

Loved Megan who greeted us, loved how close it was to the water and loved how cozy it was. Definitely going back!

Returning to the beautiful room and upper deck in the Carriage House, I continue to be impressed with the overall ambiance. Every possible need seems to have been anticipated. The lovely room appointments and comfortable deck furniture overlooking the Gulf soothes the busy mind that causes us to head for the beach for clarity and gentleness. Being able to enjoy a lovely breakfast without leaving the premise is an added bonus. Where else can you enjoy your morning coffee or tea while the dolphins frolic in the Gulf in plain sight? This is Paradise! Your relaxation begins the minute you enter the comfortable reading/reception area and are greeted by the staff.which is courteous and eager to please. Harrington House is a treasure--not to be missed.

My mother and I recently vacationed at Harrington House, in Bungalow #2. It is beautifully decorated and well maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the gourmet breakfast each morning was one of the highlights of our day. The white sandy beach compliments the turquiose-blue water, and sets the stage for spectacular sunsets! My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer - but I will definitely return.

It will be almost impossible to find a more beautiful location than this. Staff is friendly, caring, and attentive without being intrusive. You will want to return.

We had been planning this long weekend away for a few months, and had seen some pictures online of the Harrington House, but had no idea how truly beautiful it was. The rooms were very spacious, and having the separate bedrooms with the individual baths was perfect for the three of us - three women celebrating our birthdays and some time away.

Absolutely perfect for our 20th anniversary! Beautiful property, comfortable room, excellent view & beach, delicious breakfast, refreshing pool, complimentary use of kayaks and bikes (we kayaked right alongside dolphins!), friendly and accomodating staff and the absolute best chocolate covered strawberries we've ever tasted! What more can I say. I'm already ready to go back!

Wonderful place to stay. Right on the beach. The Huth House is our favorite destination on Anna Maria. The room is nicely decorated and impeccably kept. I was a tad gisgruntled at the fact of only two bath towels in the batroom and no extra toiletries, for the price of the stay, otherwise extremely enjoyable.

Whenever my yoga instructor says go to your place of peace and contentment, I picture myself on the balcony of the Veranda Room where I am always filled with peace and contentment.

My family stayed in Bungalow 2 for two nights--wish it could have been longer. We loved it--really felt like were getting away from it all--and would love to return someday.

This was our first B&B. The Cottage was great. Very quite, pretty view, nice yard, delicious breakfast. We will be back. THANKS R&V

I found a special place to stay and would love to recommend "Herrington House". I look forward to returning. The beach, the rooms, the comfort, the cookies, the kayaks the.. did I mention the beach, the pool, the breeze everything was just right!

My boyfriend and I both had business in Orlando during the week and have not had much vacation time together this year--so, we thought it would be fun to start the trip off with tagging on a weekend and spending it on the gulf side as we had been there before and enjoyed it--i did some research and sent him a few options; but, when it came down to it, we both said, "let's go back to the Harrington House!". We had enjoyed it so much on our last trip two years ago and weren't disappointed. The only complaint was that the bed in the Garden room was a little hard for our taste; but other than that is was perfect as always!!!

Stayed for the fifth time at Harrington house 22th to 25th August 2011 in Bungalow 1. The bungalow was brilliantly furnished and exceptionally clean. Every aspect of our stay was outstanding, only drawback was we had to leave, would have loved to have stayed alot longer.

"Old Florida" housing, well maintained and clean. Very nice, friendly staff. Breakfast was awesome. Located a few step from the water and includes many amenities such as beach chairs, umbrellas and kayaks for use by guests. Will return.

Harrington House is one of the best beach experiences we have ever had. Excellent location, great staff, and quiet atmosphere combined to give us a wonderful 2-nite stay. We'll be going back and hopefully, soon!

I have been looking for a place like Harrington House for a long time. I consider myself picky, so most places fall short on my expectations. But NOT THIS TIME! The Harrington House is A COZY AFFORDABLE PARADISE! I was there this month of August and booked my return stay for this coming December. If you want to relax, rest or catch some waives with the feel at home atmosphere then you found the perfect place. The staff is very attentive to your every need. The breakfast is wonder; you cannot leave without tasting their French Toast. I never ate such delicious French toast in my life. My husband and I can't wait to go back. So, now that you are done reading this review, go ahead and book your stay without any reservation. You won't regret.

Our second year coming the same weekend. Love the room we're in, the beautiful beach and sunsets. The breakfasts are scrumptious! Booked it again for next year, its such a relaxing vacation.

We are local folks who wanted to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary with a staycation at the beach. Staying at a B&B rather than a hotel was a novel idea to us. The covered entrance to the Harrington let us know we were in for a treat - and we weren't disappointed. The service was warm and friendly, our room was lovely, and the view of the beach from our balcony was breathtaking. The chef prepared a delicious "gluten free" breakfast for me without any fuss. All in all, I would highly recommend the Harrington House to anyone looking for a special unique getaway.

We spent only 2 nights in the Veranda room, not nearly enough! The Harrington House is a wonderfully peaceful place to relax. The breakfasts are great, the rooms are super clean and the staff is friendly. The sunset view is spectacular, and we loved laying out on the balcony watching the stars appear!

We had a major great time. Service and people were outstanding. Physical facility was very nice. Will definitely return and recommend it to everyone who is interested.

This is our 4th stay at Harrington House, and everything about it continues to amaze us. The staff is so efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfasts are delicious..and the chef can accomodate any special requests. The location is absolutely amazing.....I can't say enough good things about this wonderful bed and breakfast. This year we spent 6 nights in beautiful Bungalow II with our son and daughter-in-law. We enjoyed spending quality family time and it was very hard when we had to go home. I would love to live in Bungalow II 365 days a year. I highly recommend the Harrington House Bed and Breakfast when you need to give yourself some quality, relaxing time. It will truly live up to all of your expectations!

We stayed in the cottage that is a very short walk to the beach. The room is a little small, but we enjoyed it still.

The condo's location was excellent, and the condo and its amenities were fabulous.

I've stayed at several places on Anna Maria Island and this is the best. View from room even better than shown on website. The inn is right on the beach yet nestled back among trees so there is a real feeling of privacy. My sister and I each had a room - both were perfect. Very highly recommended.

We've been coming to the HHBB&B for the last 10 years. Just got back a few weeks ago and lost my glasses on our first night. Looked all over but no luck. Contacted the staff to let them know. We left on Sunday and never found them. I received an email next day saying the glasses were found by the cleaning staff. I had my glasses in 2 days. That's why we keep coming back. We stayed in the Huth House. The walk to the beach from the house was dangerous. There were tree limbs sticking up and the sand was filthy. The shower area on the outside was also cluttered. Breakfast was fine and housekeeping did a good job on the interior.

We are always excited to spend time at this lovely B & B. The property is beautiful and the staff treat us like family. Wish we could live there year-round!

Wonderful accommodations! We could not have been happier and would strongly recommend the Harrington House to others. (We stayed in the 3 bedroom house.)

My girlfriend and I stayed there the evening before her birthday in June. I got there early and they let me get my room set up so it was ready to make her bday perfect. I placed roses on the bed and put wine, champagne, cheese and crackers and strawberries and chocolate in the small fridge in the quaint upstairs room. When my girlfriend arrived, we spent a portion of the evening on the balcony enjoying a view of the beach. Prior to sunset, we went out onto the beach and floated in the warm water. Then we came back and floated in the pool and enjoyed a glass of wine on the beach chairs. We went back out onto the balcony to watch the evening turn into night. We watched a little TV in the room, catching the end of the Rays game, and after a little sleep time, I woke her up at midnight and proposed. (She said yes :) ). It was a perfect place to make her birthday perfect and to ask her to marry me. We both had to work the next day, so they arranged to make our breakfast a little early. We (my now-fiance and I) enjoyed pancakes and tea out next to the pool. We purchased mugs to take with us to remember a perfect evening. There is a cool downstairs area, but we didn't see it much as we were only there one evening. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would love for us to go back on another special evening.

This is our second stay at Harrington House. The first was short, two days and nights for our daughter's wedding. But on that initial visit, we fell in love with the B & B. Our second visit (one week) was to duck out of the New England cold. Once again the weather was perfect, the staff warm and receptive and the breakfast served on the patio overlooking the gulf was superb. If you want quality down time with plenty of attractions nearby, then H.H.B.B. & B is the place to relax on the west coast!

My wife had a wonderful birthday thanks to this wonderful place on the beach. The staff was really accomodating and the room and the breakfast were perfect.

This was my husband and my first visit to Harrington House but it will not be our last. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. They are truly there to make your visit a pleasant one. They just think of everything. Located right on the beach, they have beach chairs, umbrellas, floats and towels for your use. A pool is on site as well as kayaks and bicycles. Fresh chocolate chip cookies every afternoon were provided. A flashlight for walking on the beach after dark. Umbrellas by the front door. Even an area with snacks and drinks is available on the honor system. Our room in the Carriage House was very comfortable and charming. The full breakfast each morning was excellent. We were served omelets and fresh fruit one morning and fluffy pancakes with a warm fresh berry compote the next. We spoke with several other guests and many were returning for their annual visit to Harrington House. One woman was on her 19th visit. When an inn can produce this level of loyalty you can be sure they are doing everything right.

We enjoyed our stay at Harrington House so much, that we are contemplating a return. The breakfasts were wonderful! The beach was just steps from our door. The accommendations were very comfortable. We had the top floor of the middle beachhouse. There was plenty of room for our party of five. We would definitely stay there again. The hostess was gracious and informative of area attractions.

I do a week in Anna Maria Island every year for 'mom's week' with girlfriends. This year we stayed at the Vista Grande at Harrington House Bed and Breakfast. It was divine. Admittedly we are spoiled. But this place was beyond our expectations for quality, peacefulness, views of the ocean, bedroom configuration, decoration, cleanliness, and service. If we had a problem - it was fixed within minutes - and we only had one definite problem.....turning on the flat screen and that might have been because of the wine with dinner!!! The place was exceptional. And even though it is a little pricey for the mom's it was well worth it and we will probably book for next year as well.

I wanted to state tha weekend spent in the B&B was the best weekend my wife and I haven had in a while. With four four dogs around the house getting us up at all hours we needed a weekend of rest. We are already looking at dates when we can return for another quite weekend soon.

We spent 2 nights and wish it were more. Just a 1/2 hour drive from our home and we felt like it was hundreds. We immediately fell into the beach atmosphere and didn't leave the area--it was heavenly. Thank you for the experience.

This is our third time to HH and won't be our last. We stood in the Veranda at the main house and the room was amazing. It was cozy, roomy, very clean. It has a private balcony which we took advantage of every day by sitting down and enjoying the ocean view. We loved the breakfast. It is so delicious and every year we look forward to the oatmeal toast. Don't worry about dinner, we walked by the beach to our restaurants everyday. It was heaven on earth. Harrington House has a main house with rooms and additional cottages, and housing options which is perfect for families and groups of friends. The location and personnel are wonderful and the landscaping is phenomenal. You really feel you experienced paradise. Being right on the beach, enjoying the beauty of the place and surroundings, eating poolside and the excellent service and personalities of the staff have to be experienced to really appreciate. So give it a try! Completely relaxing with a casual elegance- you have the right combination.

A Birthday Escape from the stormy Northeast in January was the best gift I ever gave myself! I found this adorable B&B on the internet and although I could have stayed in a hotel much cheaper, I would not have had such a memorable experience. As a very weary traveler, I arrived to the soothing sounds of the fountain and the friendly staff member who escorted me to Dodt 1. Tears of joy came to my eyes when she opened the French doors leading directly to the beach and water. They even gave me a discount to stay in this same sweet suite for 2 nights since the other room I reserved was not available. Everyone was so helpful and authentic! The breakfasts were delicious and I it felt like I was welcomed by a family. Even though the temperature was not swimming weather, it was such a joy to ride the bikes at the inn to explore the island and walk the beach.I hated to leave and I will certainly be back again. I sent my parents to visit when they were in Florida a month later and they agreed it was the perfect home away from home.

My wife and I needed a get-away without our kids, our first such escape in a dozen years. We had heard about the Harrington House from both the Chamber of Commerce and my wife's co-worker and decided a B&B was what we wanted for this trip (versus a Hyatt or similar large hotel). My ratings here are not exaggerated. Every aspect of this wonderful B&B was A+. As evidence, my wife reserved next year on just our second day there. We spoke with others who were back for their fourth, ten and even thirteenth years. This B&B sits right on a beautiful beach that was never crowded, has a pool and its rooms reminded us very much of B&B's we stay in at back home in New England. I should also mention the food - awesome breakfasts with something different every day and local restaurants that offer high-quality, reasonably-priced food with very friendly staff. Finally, all the locals know each other and you'll never be disappointed with their recommendations.

My husband and I had one night away for ourselves and stayed at the Carriage House. The staff made you feel right at home and everything was so cozy and clean. The breakfast and service was delicious. The staff gave us a great map and directions to some of the best places to eat in the area and shopping. Right on the water which was clean and beautiful. We would highly recommend this as a little get away.

We look forward each year to our week at the Harrington House on Anna Maria Island. The breakfast is different each day and delicious and served with gracious help. We stayed for 4 glorious nights at the Harrington House Beachfront Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in Dodt #3. This place was huge and had every convenience that one could imagine! All 3 bedrooms wore spotless as was the kitchen, both baths and the living areas. Breakfast is always wonderful and creative and served with a smile and friendly suggestions. We have been there twice now and will definitely return as soon as we can.
