River Park Inn
Over a century ago the River Park Inn was a cottage for the more retiring guests of the famous Clarendon Hotel who came to partake of the warm water mineral spring here. The vernacular structure was built by Dr. Joseph Applegate, a partner in the construction of the Clarendon who had rights to the warm water mineral spring. As he diversified his practice, the water was prescribed, bottled and dispensed to wealthy visitors, including presidents and heads of state. Over the years the cottage served as a private residence, boarding house and antique store. The spring still flows at about 3000 gallons per minute and feeds the community swimming pool which is chemical free. The pool spills over to a fresh water stream and empties into the majestic St. Johns River which flows by our riverfront park just across the street from the River Park Inn. The inn itself has been completelly restored and furnished with antiques from that bygone era. All rooms have wireless internet access, private baths, private phones, cable TV, irons/boards and hairdryers. A full hot delicious breakfast is served daily. Common areas include the parlor, dining room, courtyard with a Jacuzzi in the screened-in gazebo and main porch with rockers and swing. Maps for self guided walking tours of Historic Green Cove Springs are provided. Really unwind, kick back and enjoy the peaceful, slow pace of historic small town America.

From the North, exit I-295 at Exit 10 on Hwy 17 and travel south 15 miles to Green Cove Springs. From the South, exit I-95 at Exit 318 and travel 19 miles west on SR 16 to Hwy 17 and then north into the city. Once in Green Cove Springs, turn east towards the St. Johns River on Spring Street and travel just one block to the Inn, located at the corner of Spring Street and Magnolia Avenue - Nearest major airport: Jacksonville, FL (JAX) 40 miles

Travel south on the I-295 loop from I-95 south around Jacksonville and get off at Exit 10. At the foot of the exit ramp turn right and travel south on Hwy 17; 15 miles to Green Cove Springs. - Minimum stay required (2 night minimum stay on weekends)
- Smoking is allowed in limited areas (Smoking is allowed only in designated outside porch areas)
- We cannot accommodate guest pets
- Limitations on children staying (Children 2 and up are welcome with adult supervision.)

- Consumption of alcohol is permitted (Responsibe alcohol consumption by those of legal age.)
- Deposit amount required (Reservations may be secured with a valid Credit Card or personal check for 50% of the total.)
- Check in time is 4 - 6 PM and Check out time is 11 AM
- Cancellations:
For weekends and holiday periods a two week cancellation notice required for full refund, cancellations within two weeks will result in a minimum cancellation fee of $25. A one week cancellation notice is sufficient for weekday reservations. We cannot make refunds for last-minute cancellations, and credit cards will be charged an amount equal to the number of nights reserved. We regret that we must enforce our policy of no refunds for failure to arrive on the initial date of the reservation, or if departure occurs prior to the last date of the reservation. - Accepted by the following agencies:
