Thank you for scrolling down this far. We are near the bottom because we have the lowest prices in town. If you are looking for a 5 course breakfast and antiques, we don't have them. What do we have? Read on.... We have 5 rooms (some can sleep up to 6) all en-suite with comfortable beds, free parking (hard to find downtown!) and a free all you can eat pancake breakfast. We strive to provide a fun and affordable option for families and couples at the lowest cost in the historic district. Free encrypted wi-fi! Free use of our computers! On site parking is $5 on a first come first served basis. Other lots are nearby and if you park at the city main garage, we'll pay for it! Free breakfast! Free chocolate! If you desire something other than pancakes you can use our kitchen if you bring it with you, or we can direct you to some great local eateries! If you are looking for a frou-frou/quaint B and B, please book any of the other Bed and Breakfasts listed above.

Did not advertise it was a 5 star hotel and it's not. Location was great and the people are friendly.

Stayed here last year on short stay while driving around Fl. Was gf's daughters birthday and she loves pirates so this seemed a perfect fit. Her daughter couldn't believe how the number 10 pirate themed room was decorated. She kept remarking how it was the "coolest place we've ever been!" (we travel a lot and she loves staying in different hotels). From an adults perspective this place is right in the heart of it all on treasury street. Just a very short walk from the fort the , the pirate museum (her favorite) , and many great places to eat and drink. The hospitality of the hosts was also outstanding (again a repeat of my last visit) with them providing great tips on our visits to several area attractions , surprisingly the best for us being the fountain of youth. I would absolutely stay again on my next stopover if ever I do and as a very seasoned traveler both internationally and domestically I would definitely recommend this hostel to any interested in staying in such a great little city.
Thank you for your review, I'm blushing! Now contrast this with the one from Monday Jan 5, just two reviews below. But perhaps it is because we're trying to improve our cleanliness as the earlier reviewer pointed out. I still haven't put the shelf in but it's on my list! Glad you enjoyed the Fountain of Youth, they've put a lot of time and money into improving it over the last 10 years, and they've done a great job.

Our stay was awesome. Nice small place to get away for the weekend. Room was clean, staff was great, placement was perfect, close to everything.

It was our first visit to St. Augustine and found the Pirate Haus Inn to be affordable with a great location. We haven't stayed in many Inns or B & Bs before so maybe our expectations were off. Our room was fine, but hadn't been dusted or wet mopped in a LONG time. There was a thick layer of dust on my bedside lamp and major dust on the wood floors. There was also a used wash rag hanging on the shower when we first arrived so that made me wonder how clean the bathroom was. It felt like a dorm more than a B&B. It was a very casual place. It could use more storage or counter space in the en suite bathroom - just a shelf would've helped. Had to request towels each day. Parking was a nightmare because the street in front was torn up so we parked in the city parking garage. Bring your own soap, shampoo/conditioner because what they provide isn't very much. Hair dryer is available at the office. You can only use the Inn computer during breakfast hours and printing is .50/page. Overall it was fine because of the great location and walking distance to the Historic District. I hope they improve the cleanliness of the rooms.
Thank you for your review and pointing out our deficiencies. We have new cleaning crew on board and we will work with them to ensure that we maintain a higher standard. Some times a washcloth escapes notice, but rest assured that the bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected between guests. The rooms floors are vacuumed after each guest, however not under the beds very often, so I will admit to that, mea culpa. I will be installing a shelf as soon as things calm down a bit, and I appreciate the constructive criticism. Yes, if you want new towels, you have but to ask. Most of our guests just air dry them between uses and we don't go into rooms to protect our guests' privacy. The bunk beds in addition to the large bed probably give it that 'dorm feel', but I think your kids appreciated them if I'm not mistaken. Your eldest's knowledge of sports was impressive! You can use the Inn computer at any time, so I don't know where you heard only breakfast hours. We tell our guests to bring their own soap/shampoo because what we provide IS the cheapest money can buy. We cut corners in that area precisely because most folks bring their own. We are trying to provide the best value in our location. The Hilton is directly across the street. You could have parked there for an extra $21 per day instead of availing yourself of our free parking garage offer. I think that is a huge value, worth more than 3/5. I hope that future guests balance this review with the one titled 'Only Place We Stay' below. Decide what type of people you are, and make your choice accordingly. We will always be the best deal in town!

Good location in downtown St Augustine, though parking was an adventure due to construction. Unique place to stay with themed, beautifully decorated rooms. Pancake breakfast is fun, owner is a really nice guy.

Very good location, parking available and affordable. Although our room was a good choice for a family of five on a budget, we think that there should be paid more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen. Conrad is a great guide, gives valuable advice.
Kitchen cleanliness is a bit of a problem when our kitchen is open for guest use. I could put a door up and lock it outside of breakfast hours - then it would stay clean, but then some of our guests would not be able to cook their meals, which is more of an issue for those with dietary restrictions, or the parents who want to sterilize their baby binkies, or the guests who want a cup of cocoa at night. So for now I will sacrifice convenience for cleanliness. Please feel free to email me and let me know specifically what areas did not measure up to your standards and I will see what can be done.

I went on a weekend stay with three friends. We got the Captains room with the king bed and three bunk beds. The eldest member of our group got the king bed and each one of us got our own bunk bed (top and bottom). We really enjoyed our stay, we were close enough to everything to park the car for the day and walk the streets sight-seeing, shopping and stopping for lunch and dinner at several of the many eateries along the way. When we were exhausted we all came back to the Inn to nap in peaceful room. If you like historic homes and funky decor, this is the place for you. After we checked out Corey was nice enough to show me around the other rooms that had now been vacated and we are planning our next family vacation there.
Thank you for your kind words, but you gave us a 'C' average! What could we have done better?

This eclectic lil place isn't for everyone, but you knew that as soon as you saw it's name. It's like staying over at a friend's place, not one you know well enough to be your kids' God parents, but one you know enough that they welcome you into their place. It doesn't have all the amenities that a Hilton would have, but it's not $300/night either. Staff has always been friendly & the rooms have hot water, small fridge, and a place to rest your weary head after walking around the historic district all day, partying all night (or both). Can't beat the price or location. And as a small business owner, I would much rather give my money to someone that pours their heart & soul into a place (it shows) than give it to Paris.
From one small business owner to another, thank you for your business and thank you for your review!
