My boyfriend and I recently stayed in room 9 and it was definitely a good weekend! The whole room was very clean. I loved the bed, it was very cozy and warm! The pancakes were awesome too. I'm not a pancake person but those are some dang good pancakes! Haha. The only drawback for me was the shower. I'm not used to old faucets like that so each morning I was there it took me roughly 20 minutes to get the water not freezing or not burning hot but that's just because I am not used to it and didn't know what each knob was. Other than though, I was 100% satisfied. The location is great! And if you aren't leaving town, just going around downtown, getting blocked in isn't a big deal because you are walking distance to everything! I would definitely come back.

    Excellent stay !

We just stayed one night, but everything went great. The street is very quiet and right in the middle of the town. Plus, Conrad has a real talent for making custom pancakes. Thanks a lot

This is the first time I've stayed here. I've had friends that recommended it to me before. Fun room, cheap, quiet, and perfect for a nights sleep. We went to St. Augustine for shopping and restuarant/bar hopping so it was great!

We had such a terrific time with the Pirate Room. It was so nice and large, with a mini fridge, and a very cool antique bathroom. The beds were sooo comfy and warm. Our 7 year old girl really enjoyed the bunk beds, and she had a very good time with us at breakfast meeting people, and eating yummy pirate pancakes. One had her name on it! The coffee was excellent too. In the main room area you could go online, plus it had pirate ship toys and games for her and others to play with as well. Everyone was so polite, and it was very cool to talk to the other customers there about their travels as well. I would stay there every time. It's in the heart of the area...most excellent. Reminds me of some places I have been in Ocracoke NC. :) -The Eagan Family, Louisville KY 1/2012

Seriously one of my favorite places EVER

I absolutely love the PIrate Haus. I lived in St Augustine for 7 years and had always walked past it.. my friend visited and booked a room and I actually ended up staying with him in the Map Room and having a blast.. flash forward 3 years.. I no longer live in St Augustine but still have friends in the areas.. so when it came to choosing a place to stay when I visited, the Pirate Haus won out even over the offer of a free couch. The rooms are fun, beds comfy, showers warm.. and the coolest part is the people you meet in the common area and in the mornings near the kitchen. I absolutely love this place and I fully intend on wearing out my welcome :) My 3rd stay (2nd in the same month!) is coming up in a week and I couldn't be more excited.
