For over a century this lovely Victorian Inn has received visitors to St. Augustine. Local maps and early records show that the inn was built between 1865 and 1885 and was advertised as a private guest house as early as 1886. By 1911 the property was known as the Kenwood Hotel. The inn has maintained the charm and character of 100 years of tradition while now providing a casual elegant style to enjoy. Located within the Historic District between the Oldest House and the famous Castillo de San Marcos, The Kenwood Inn is within walking distance of many fine restaurants and all historic sites. It is one block from the Intracoastal Waterway with its passing fishing trawlers, yachts at anchor and the classic Bridge of Lions. Across the bridge by car or bicycle are miles of beautiful ocean beaches. The Inn's spacious accommodations include rooms with double, queen and king sized pillow-topped beds. Several rooms also include pullout queen size sofas. Beautiful balconies and porches are featured in many rooms. The Inn has central heat and air, and all rooms have private baths. All guestrooms feature hairdryers, bathrobes, overhead ceiling fans, HGTV televisions, and more. Bicycles are available to tour the city. The walled-in courtyard is the perfect place to sit and relax after a long day of exploring the old city. The saltwater swimming pool is adjacent to the courtyard through the gate and is very refreshing on those hot and humid summer days.

After reading online reviews of the Kenwood Inn, I was confident I had selected a great property in the Historic District and within walking distance of the major attractions. We were greeted warmly by the owner, Pat, who warmly escorted us to our room. She gave us some dinner recommendations, a coupon book and a local map and also showed us great Inn amenities - the saltwater pool (small, but a great way to relax) and bicycles with locks. After delicious breakfast served outside, we checked out after one night and stored our luggage in the dining room, then took two bikes out for the day. That was the best way to get around the narrow, crowded streets in the tourist/historic area by far. We were so glad to have them, and the baskets attached to the bikes was perfect for a purse, water bottles and a bike lock. We took advantage of all the Kenwood had to offer in our just-under-24-hour stay!!

Close to everything St. Augustine, this bed and breakfast was a wonderful stay. We stayed over for the 4th of July fireworks and couldn't have asked for a better location. We have made reservations to stay again in December and highly recommend The Kenwood Inn. Our only regret is that we didn't purchase one of their comfy robes :)

My now husband and I came down to St. Augustine to elope. We decided to stay at the Kenwood Inn. Well Mrs. Pat and her staff are amazing and took care of everything for us. From the officiant, to the flowers, cake, champagne, horse and carriage ride and even took some photos of us. While making us feel like family. It was an amazing day that neither one of us will forget! Thank you again to Mrs. Pat and her lovely staff!

We checked into a very large and well appointed room with a nice outdoor balcony. From the moment we arrived the staff was very helpful and catered to all our needs. We had a few issues that were corrected promptly. The pool is wonderful in the heat of St. Augustine. Breakfasts were creative and good but could have been better if they were not meatless. A bit of bacon or sausage would be an improvement. If you don't care for the breakfast selection of the day, the chef will make you something else. Every evening there is wine served in the parlor and fresh cookies nearby and good socialization. A very civilized way to spend a couple of days and within walking distance of all the restaurants and historical places in the old city.

Not only is the Kenwood Inn absolutely worth every penny spent on any vacation type/style/moment - the entire staff is warm, friendly, courteous, and so helpful! The Kenwood Inn was by far the most romantic, clean, hospitable, and completely custom B&B we have eve stayed in and we will purposefully visit Saint Augustine many more times in the future just to stay there!
