St. Augustine

4.0 on March 19, 2015

Very nice setting, friendly staff that really care about guests.

A Great 3 Night Stay

4.6 on March 17, 2015

We stayed across the street in the "Wilson Suite", great king bed, sitting room and best of all a nice covered front porch, overlooking the main inn and the brick street. Nice quite location, a short walk to the hustle of St. Augustine. We really like "Select Registry Inns" and this is among the top.

Just wonderful

4.2 on March 15, 2015

This is a very friendly place and had many extra activities I was not expecting. The smores package and fire pit was a pleasant and fun surprise. The customer service was wonderful. Breakfast was the best I have ever had included in a B&B The only down side was our room had a lot of noise from traffic until 1030 and back again at a quarter of 6, I think that was our room only. We had the balcony room. I would still come back, because of all the extras and the staff makes you feel like part of a family. The pool was one of the pleasant extras as well as the at sight parking. Really worth every penny.

Warm, cozy and quietly tucked away in Old Town with wonderful amenities

This was a true find: a place for four senior ladies to stay together and enjoy the delights of St. Augustine. No sterile motel rooms for us - instead we had the two-bedroom "cottage" at the St. Francis Inn (which dates to 1791) and its very warm hospitality. The cottage (formerly the kitchen and slave quarters) featured plush beds, TVs, modern plumbing and heating and a modern kitchen, but still retained the charm of old wooden floors. We had only a few steps through a beautiful shaded courtyard to the main building where a delicious breakfast awaited us every morning, a cocktail hour from 5-6pm, and a dessert offering at 8pm. And, 24-hour tea and coffee was there to sip while relaxing in the lounge in front of the fireplace and reading one of the many newspapers laid out. In addition, had we wanted to take a plunge in the heated pool, it was right out our side door. To add to our convenience free parking is right across the street and everything in Old Town is in easy walking distance. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with our special requests and questions. It was a most enjoyable stay.

Our stay in St. Augustine

4.6 on March 13, 2015

My wife and I were greeted by Bev when checking in. She was very gregarious and friendly, Long Island accent and all. At our request Bev suggested local sites to visit during our stay. She also pointed out several that would be a major disappointment. Good to know! In fact the entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, particularly Travis, Max, Cynthia and Nancy. The breakfasts were excellent. The girls remembered I liked unsweetened ice tea in the morning and always got it special for me. Staff accommodated all dietary restrictions as well. The evening social hour stood out because of the excellent local wines which were offered. Hors d' Oeuvres were delicious and varied on a daily basis. One memorable moment is when I overheard a guest ask for (demand really) a small fork to place meatballs on his plate. The toothpicks which were provided were evidently too crude. The staff member cheerfully ran to the kitchen to retrieve one. If she rolled her eyes at this fop's request, I didn't see it. We would not hesitate to stay again.

More for your money!!!

Everyone was so pleasant and all the extra goodies and drinks they throw in for free made it just a delightful stay. Thanks for making us fall in love with St. Augustine!!

Well worth the money

We found the St. Francis Inn to be everything it advertised. The breakfasts, hors d'oeuvres, and evening deserts were excellent. The staff members were always friendly and offered very useful information about eating establishments and touring in St. Augustine. We would definitely stay there again.

This historic B&B offered charm, good food, and warm hospitality.

Second stay at the St. Francis

5 on February 22, 2015

My second stay did not disappoint. I love this place. Staff is fantastic (Thanks Bev for helping us get our dinner reservations moved up) and the accommodations and food are excellent. Best of all, there is a new kitty (Boots) who comes around now to keep Zeke company. The St. Francis definitely lives up to its name in that regard as well as with all the amenities for the humans too. I will definitely make this a destination place next time I come to Florida.
