This magnificent home was built by a Flagler heiress in the 1920's, right in the dunes of St. Augustine Beach. Now a bed and breakfast, it was named one of the Top 10 Small Resort Inns in Florida, it received the AAA 3 Diamond rating, and is still very laid back and pet friendly! Fall asleep to the hum of the Atlantic Ocean. Wake to spectacular sunrises. Enjoy breakfast while watching the waves through a speckle of sea oats, palm trees, and occasional pelican fly-overs. Grab a surfboard and catch some swells, or drive over the Bridge of Lions into historic St. Augustine. Visit our website for a closer look.

    Innkeepers Description:

Preserving this grand old beach house has been Patty's passion and burden for years. Sharing its ambiance with guests makes it all worth it, especially with a glass of wine. As often as she can, however, she steals away to see her grandchildren.

Our daughter and her husband renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary, the wedding on the beach was beautiful. Patty, Rae and the staff were outstanding, helpful, friendly and met our needs and request. As our whole family took over the house, they were great with all of us and our grandchildren. We definitely recommend them highly.

As a frequent traveler to B&Bs I was pleasantly surprised to find this beach side gem a few years back. I have travelled extensively in the US and abroad and stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world, but never have I had the incredibly personal experience that Patty provides at the House of Sea and Sun. Besides the stunning house and location, the absolute attention to detail in the service is bar none. The scrumptious breakfasts, delightful happy hours and impromptu dinner parties make even the most jaded foodies drool in anticipation. I have not slept in all the rooms yet, but it's on my "bucket list"! I will definitely be back again and again!

Our experience from the beginning to end was fantastic, awesome and just plain wonderful are a few of the words I can say about our experience at the House of Sea and Sun. The wedding was a year ago and I am still telling everyone they need to do what we did here. The owner and staff were great hostesses and the food fantastic. The staff were all ready to help with everything at anytime. It was an extremely windy the day of the wedding the reception had to be moved inside, it seemed it only took 5 minutes to change the reception from outside to inside and have everything decorated and ready to go. The bridle party never had to miss a beat or be stressed. I was so amazed. My family and I truly enjoued our visit. The home is lovely and the accommodations were just right. I wish we could have stayed longer. We are planning a trip back for the family. As far as a wedding, I would recommend it to everyone. We felt like evthing was handles so well from the rehearsal dinner at the home to the service and afterwards. Because the staff and owner saw to all the details we were able to concentrate on enjoying our families and company. I believe it was the easiest, most relaxed wedding I have ever been a part of and it was my daughters!
