Artfully blending the hushed privacy of a boutique hotel with the intimacy of a romantic bed and breakfast, The Tropical Inn is a haven of tranquility in a most unexpected central location: at the midpoint of legendary Duval Street, within walking distance of all Key West attractions. This romantic Key West bed and breakfast consists of the lovingly restored main house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and three charming cottages clustered in a lush tropical garden with a fabulous waterfall pool and spa. Meticulously clean, professionally designed interior and garden spaces are tastefully furnished in a tropical motif evocative of the European colonial era in the East and West Indies. Rooms at this lovely Key West inn have private baths, queen and king size beds, minifridges, ceiling fans, air conditioning, telephone, cable TV, and Wi-Fi Internet access. A microwave oven is centrally located for the convenience of guests. Most rooms feature adjacent porches or decks, and three Garden Cottage Suites have very private outdoor areas with their own spas! A tantalizing expanded continental breakfast buffet is served each morning on the garden terrace. This hospitable Key West B&B is a family owned and operated establishment. An emphasis on guest comfort, personal service, and attention to detail is evident throughout this charming Florida Keys bed and breakfast.

I have never had a bad stay at a Diamond Collection B & B and The Tropical Inn was Awesome! The location, the owners and the services provided are top notch. Out front, Duval Street offers all the party and excitement of Key West. Enter the backyard of the property and all the excitement of Duval Street is left behind. You have a great pool and hot tub and are surrounded by a tropical forest. The periodic singing of roosters is heard along with the waterfall in the pool...The location is perfect. About a 20 minute walk to Mallory Square or the butterfly conservatory going towards the east I highly recommend The Tropical Inn as your lodging destination when visiting Key West.

Our stay at the Tropical Inn was fantastic! The staff was friendly and helpful, while remaining non intrusive. We booked their least expensive room and it was really nice - bed comfortable and a nice roomy shower. There is a good selection for breakfast. The pool/patio area is AWESOME! Key West was quite hot during our stay and we took a dip mid- afternoon and in the evening to cool off - very easy to do, since the Inn is so well located. I would definitely recommend the Tropical Inn and will stay there again when we return to Key West. Great job!

We stayed at the tropical inn last weekend and highly recommend it. The staff was amazing - attentive and helpful. The check in and checkout was smooth and effortless and they were always around for answers, advise, directions, etc. The room was lovely. The location right on Duval in the center is ideal. It amazed me that even though it was so centrally located in the middle of Duval , yet managed to be quiet and serene. I would definitely stay there again!! Thanks.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. First time to Key West for my husband and I (early 30s). The location was amazing- close to sites, shops, restaurants and bars! Even though it's so close to the nightlife, it felt so peaceful one we entered the building and garden area. We were upgraded to a larger cottage room and the AC was the quietest AC ever! Great breakfast options- breads, jellies, cereal, yogurt, fruit, meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs, OJ, cranberry juice and coffee. Only thing they didn't offer was water, unless you paid for it. Small pool that we used after a night out, and towels to use offsite at the beach and boat ride. Also they gave us complimentary wine tasting at the bistro next door.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We are delighted that you were pleased with the complimentary upgrade, quiet AC, and healthy breakfast ... with one exception ... water at breakfast, which must have been an oversight on our part during your visit. Normally, we have single-serve bottled water in the same giant clam shell where the yogurt is served, under ice. We are so sorry that you didn't ask, so that we could have remedied the shortcoming immediately, rather than necessitating a visit to the drink cooler in our honor snack bar. 100% guest satisfaction is our goal, every day. We hope you will give us another chance soon to prove that in a return visit.

This was my first time in Key West, and the Tropical Inn was a wonderful place to stay. It was quiet and the vegetation afforded privacy even when others were on the patio. Coming up on 30 years of marriage, I loved the opportunity to buy a Love Lock. We also appreciated that it catered to quiet couples. My only suggestion would be to include some "out of the ordinary" goodies for breakfast, but perhaps this is due to the hot weather.

This is a wonderful B&B, beautiful accommodations, great and friendly service and an idyllic pool and hot tub rear yard that makes you feel you are in a tropical paradise. Grab one of the separate cottage/rooms if available. And it is central to everything. We'll be back. N & V

My fiance and I absolutely loved this location. Jane, Allen, Brandi and Shelby were so friendly and the rooms were amazing. All up-to-date furnishings and decor. You can certainly tell the countless hours they have spent keeping this place looking like a gem! The location is right in the heart of Key West on Duval Street. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere. Rob and I brought a "Love Lock" to add to the many there on the bird cage. We were engaged in Key West over Mother's Day 2014 and felt it would be something nice to see on our return trips. We will definitely be staying at the Tropical Inn going forward for sure!
