Yvonne and her staff were wonderful friendly and very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was very good too! The staff even knew the history of the house witch I found interesting! Thanks for a great stay!! You will see me again on my next visit to Key West. D.A.K

Great Getaway

We had the opportunity to spend a week at this lovely B&B - the structure was once a Cuban Association & Children's Hospital - the rooms were comfortable & clean - the staff was very helpful. Since it is located at the south end of Deval St. It was very quiet every night. While they did not have any food available there was always freshly baked cookies & a cool drink available. Although the pool may be small the value you will receive here is not. Everyone on the staff here was very helpful and makes you feel like family - thanks Yevonne & Staff

Had a great stay in Key West, the room was very clean and well maintained, as was the B&B. Staff was helpful and very informative. Thanks for a great stay and look forward to staying with you again.

Fabulous Stay in Key West!

5 on February 27, 2015

My husband and I were invited to a wedding in Key West this past January. The wedding took place at The Reach, down the street from Avalon, but the rooms were so expensive so I searched online for a close B&B with relatively inexpensive rooms. The Avalon far exceeded our expectations!! It was in a wonderful location, quiet, VERY clean and the staff was so helpful with anything that you needed or had questions about during your stay. I cannot say enough about the whole experience and we will definitely be staying there again in the near future. Highly recommended!!

Relaxing and comfortable

We, a Swedish family of 2 adults and 2 children (10, 13), celebrated Christmas in 2014 in Avalon B&B. We could not have chosen a better place! Everything was top and Avalon exceeded all our expectations. The situation is probably one of the very best in Key West, at the southern end of Duval street, and also on the sunny side. We have never ever experienced such friendly and service minded staff. The Hotel Manager Yvonne, and receptionist Ted was absolutely superb. It felt as if we were movie stars when we each morning went down to the fabulous breakfast and was able to enjoy it on the big porch facing the street. Every afternoon we were offered tea/coffe on the front porch. Avalon is fully renovated and is of high class. My wife was so fond of Avalon that she hardly wanted to leave it for our trips. We'll be back!

Wonderful B&B. Well located and superbly run.

My wife and I were very pleased with the Avalon. Yvonne, the manager, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the gorgeous front patio was a pleasure. Our room was nice with a comfortable bed. Finally, a B&B/hotel with decent Wifi. It is on the main shopping and restaurant strip, but up at the quiet end. We loved the place. We will return there and recommend it to others.

We recently visited Avalon house and can't say enough about it. We were met at the front desk by ivonne who could not have been more gracious. Quick check in provided suggestions of where to go and restaurants in the area. B and B has a lot of history and very centrally located. Rooms well appointed excellent bed and good shower. Breakfast was lovely and served in the front porch. You will not go wrong with this property. Would stay again in a heartbeat

We felt comfortable, like home.

My husband and I came to stay in this delightful and charming place. We were very comfortable, especially in the air conditioning, boy, does it get hot and humid in July! Yvonne and everyone are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and modern. Nothing was missing, if you wanted it, it was there. Loved the available beverages, fruit, and cookies during the day, coffee, teas, and water all day. Yes, the pool is small, but that's all we needed. The Avalon is on the quiet end of Duval St, so we weren't disturbed by all-night partiers. Right beside the Southernmost Hotel and parking beside the "90 miles to Cuba" marker, we felt special knowing that we were in the southernmost B&B...ok, I did, my husband probably didn't consider it. ;) I loved the atmosphere of breakfast, it was still cool enough to be comfortable, sitting on the patio was just lovely. The pineapple was sweet and juicy, the coffee perfectly delicious, banana bread one morning fantastic. Though there were yummy items offered we were only disappointed by the fact that there wasn't more protein. Even if offering freshly prepared eggs is too much, perhaps a selection of lunch meat. One day there was a small amount of sliced ham, the next day, eggs that were re-heated. With that said, we highly recommend this place. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit.

Nice and place with friendly staff
