The Laurel Oak Inn
Located in the growing B&B District just blocks from Gainesville's vibrant downtown!
From the crunch of the cobblestones as you arrive to the pressed linens and carefully prepared breakfast to fine ammenities, including free broadband Internet access, your comfort and enjoyment are our passion.
The five bedchambers and Camille's Cottage (please see "Other Accomodations" in "Room Rates" below) have unique furnishings with private baths for a 'feel' of their own. All have queen-sized beds with premium linens and period antiques. Three have Ultra® thermo-massage tubs. One has a Swedish Tempur-Pedic Sleep System bed, another its own private second floor porch and one is handicapped enabled. All have high-speed Internet access. Our rates range from $129 to $350 per evening inclusive of a full, served breakfast and complimentary beverages during our social hour from 5-6 PM.
The core of downtown, with its shops, Hippodrome State Theater and fine restaurants, is within easy walking distance. Come and enjoy a soothing massage or take a romantic carriage tour of the town on your way to dinner and live theater.
Close to Gainesville's (GNV) J.R. Alison airport. The University of Florida campus with the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, museums and butterflies, a National Championship/SEC sports program and the Shands Medical Center is but one mile away. Also nearby is the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center.
We're centrally located amidst some of the finest antique shops in North Florida.
Then there's golf, canoeing, tubing, biking and birdwatching! Or, if you prefer, relax and enjoy that book you've been meaning to catch up on!
