Located close to the harbor and just a short walk from great restaurants and shops, the Blue Heron Inn is the perfect home away from home for enjoying Fernandina Beach. We appreciated David & Julie's good cooking and friendly service. And we relished parking the car when we arrived and getting back in two days later. Lots to do and see. Our favorite was a day outing on Cumberland Island via the Lucy Ferguson ferry. The Blue Heron is a special Inn, in a special place.

We had an outstanding stay. Julie is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us good advice for each day of our stay. What a terrific cook she is. Each breakfast was better than the last. Our room was immaculate. The setting for the inn is lovely and very close to the downtown area.

We received our stay as a gift from our kids. We had no opinion or expectations regarding the Blue Heron Inn prior to our arrival. Our overall rating on this inn is Outstanding! The rating by category, above, will not allow me to rate any category as outstanding. Very strange! Julie, the innkeeper, was the very best hostess we have ever had! Her abilities to prepare breakfast, serve some wonderful afternoon treats, inform guests on local activities, shopping and restaurants are amazing! We departed with the feeling of having been in a very special wonderful place for a short time.

Picturesque inn. Friendliest and warmest welcome from the hosts. Accommodation was spotless, food fantastic and in particular enjoyed wine and beer time every afternoon with other guests. The best small inn we have stayed at. Fantastic!

This is our first Bed and Breakfast Experience. Wow, a wonderful place. Julie and David have done an amazing job furnishing the inn with Antiques. Everything is so comfortable and cozy. We came at Christmas time and the place is decorated beautifully. Definitely the highlight of our trip to the North Eastern part of Florida. We wish we would have found it sooner and stayed more days. They even have a quint pool with fountains. This is a true gem and find. We stayed in the Heron room, perfect and comfortable. Thanks Julie, Karen and Scott
