    The Lawrencefield Bed and Breakfast sits atop rolling hills with broad views in all four directions. The original home dates back to 1845 and maintains it's Federal era detailing. Three suites and two bedrooms, all with private baths, comprise our picture perfect home.If you are in Wheeling for one of our numerous activities or visiting family, please let us provide you with warmth comfort and hospitality.

    Weekend away

    Beautiful facility and grounds. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing get away. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hosts were extremely helpful and nice. Breakfast was excellent. We will be back.

    Weekend stay

    My wife and I were up for two nights last weekend and we loved it! It was our first time in a bed and breakfast and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be doing it again. The food was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating. It was nice that it is relatively secluded but so close to everything in the Wheeling area.

    Lawrencefield B&B is a fantastic value

    Terry and Millie are wonderful hosts, and this amazing estate is just lovely. The mansion has been converted into a B&B but all the history of the place is available in photographs that line the main stairs and binder that tells the story of the McColloch family who built the original structure in 1845. The grounds are immaculate and or rooms were extremely comfortable with luxurious bathrobes, ac, cable, a new comfortable bed and complementary sodas, waters, ice left out for us without asking. The level of service, decor, and food offered was just stunning for the money paid. We HIGHLY recommend Lawrencefield Bed and Breakfast.

    a pleasant stay

    We were in WV for the Greenwood Blue and Gray Tour. The room was the largest B&B room we have ever had, and a step back in time. Entire place is finished, period, and lovely. Terry and Millie were very pleasant, and very accomodating. The area and grounds provide a lot of space to walk, think, relax, take in the view. Shared space allows for reading/relaxing. I would not recommend traversing those roads in the winter; its a narrow winding road all the way up. Our room had no A/C, a surprise. Room with the TV could have used more seating for more comfortable viewing. All in all, a wonderful experience. We will be back.

    We are sorry that we were unprepared for the hot weather in May. We have since (June 1st) installed a/c in all of the rooms as well as a unit downstairs. As for the roads, it is a school bus route so it is maintained very well in the winter. Having lived in FL for the past 28 years, we too were hesitant about winter driving but now see it is ok.

    Great "Get-A-Way"

    This was one of the very best bed and breakfast experiences we have had. Terry and Millie North were most welcoming hosts. Our room was spacious with a wonderful bath and sitting room. This is a grand home on beautiful grounds. Breakfast was delicious. This is just a perfect and relaxing experience. Cannot wait to return. Thanks Terry and Millie.
