This was our first stay at The Yellow House. It sits 5 minutes outside of Waynesville and from the first intro by Shawn, we felt at home there. We loved the house, location, the setting (our room sat just above Plot Creek facing the woods). Shawn and his staff were wonderful and attentive, striking exactly the right balance of "there for us" without being intrusive. The breakfasts (French Toast\fresh fruit and Quiche\fresh fruit was also wonderful. Also, don't miss wine and cheese at 5 pm for relaxation and great conversation. This was truly more than we hoped for. We would highly recommend The Yellow House as your next B and B getaway. Jerry and Rose Marshall
Excellent B and B. Clean room, well equipped. Extras like port wine, snacks, soda, popcorn, and wide movie selection was greatly appreciated. Shawn was a gracious host. Breakfast was outstanding. Highly recommend this place.
This was our first time to stay at a B&B and we were impressed. Andon Reid pays close attention to detail making your stay very comfortable. The entire house is neat and tidy. The breakfast is delicious.
Our stay at Oak Hill on Love Lane was a real treat as Deb & Shell go to every length to make the stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible. It is like staying at a (luxury) home from home and there is real attention to detail - like giving guests a goody bag of muffins when you leave for the day and the crisp ironed sheets. We particularly loved the log fire in our room and the breakfast was delicious and different from the norm. There was a gourmet breakfast burrito, fruit smoothie, amazing cornbread and other delights on the table when we stayed. It made our trip to America from the UK all the more special, and when we left our mobile phone charger behind by accident, Deb and Shell were extremely helpful in reuniting us with it within a few days. This venue is highly recommended and we would go back and stay in a heartbeat.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Andon-Reid. We were greeted with delicious chocolate chip cookies and cold drinks. Every day there were delicious snacks out as well as a stocked refrigerator of cold drinks we could help ourselves to. We enjoyed the basement, which had 3 exercise machines, lots of games, pool table, shuffle board and tons of dvds. Breakfast was great but not as hearty as I would have preferred as I am a big breakfast eater. The room was huge with completely fantastic bathroom with large jacuzzi and walk in shower with body jet sprays. Service was fabulous with helpful and friendly inn keepers.
I'd highly recommend Oak Hill at Love Lane to anyone who is considering staying at a B&B in Waynesville. The service is fantastic, the house is brilliantly kept, and the food is good enough to right home about. They'll certainly take care of you here and make you feel right at home.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Andon-Reid Inn. I love that this B&B is quaint so that you get to meet everyone staying in the inn. We had fantastic breakfasts while staying here, filled with great food, great company and conversation. My husband and I were staying in Waynesville but planning on spending most of our time in Asheville. We enjoyed Waynesville so much for how relaxing and beautiful it is, we will be returning on our next vacation just to stay in Waynesville. I'm counting down the days to our return!
We made spur of the moment reservations at Grandview Lodge while enjoying a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setting and decor was very attractive and relaxing, and the accommodations were excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh coffee, and apple juice from trees grown on the property. The owners were attentive to our needs, and very friendly. We are looking forward to staying here again!
My husband and I spend a weekend at a B&B each year for our Anniversary. We visited Waynesville for the first time in 2014 and loved the town so we returned again this year. This was our first stay at Oak Hill on Love Lane, and we couldn't have been happier with it. The innkeepers were extremely helpful and kind and made us feel right at home. They were eager to help us make reservations for restaurants, get settled in our room, provide anything we might have forgotten (which I always do!), and provide courteous service with a smile. They also go above and beyond with special touches like a sweet Anniversary card and cheesecake in our room when we returned from dinner the first night. The butler's pantry was well-stocked with delicious foods and beverages, and the breakfast each morning was top-rate. We stayed in the Mary Margaret room which was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. We felt pampered and at home the entire time during our stay and would highly recommend this B&B to our friends and family. Thank you, Deb and Shell, for a wonderful weekend. We hope to return again! We feel that Deb and Shell Isenberg set the standard for hospitality. Their ability to make you feel welcome and at home is amazing. The breakfast's that Deb prepares each morning are also phenomenal. They are as wonderful to look at as they are to eat. We highly recommend this excellent B&B.
Stayed two nights in March for our anniversary Great place, and wonderful people, that were so gracious Restaurant recommendations were excellent Gave us lots of information on sights to see in the area
We stayed 3 relaxing nights in the Mountain View in March. The room was excellent, the view was beautiful, and the food was excellent. My dietary requests were honored superbly. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful in finding dining options and things to do in the area. We spent an evening playing Clue in the game room, wandered around Main Street Waynesville for a day and part of another shopping, took a day trip to Linville to see the amazing falls and caverns, and spent an afternoon shopping in Asheville on the way back. Highly recommend the Andon-Reid.
We chose Oak Hill B&B as a special place to celebrate my husband Loyd's birthday. Shell and Deb made us feel welcome and pampered. Our room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Shell was helpful with restaurant suggestions for dinner and sharing information about Waynesville. They even left a nice card along with a surprise birthday dessert in our room! Breakfast was delicious and a real treat. Thank you so much, Deb and Shell! Ann & Loyd
We loved our stay at the Yellow House. We are in fact already planing to make it an annual trip. However, a few things might make a bit of a difference. The ticket said breakfast could be served in our room and that option would have been nice since we were on vacation and would have liked to sleep past 9. But overall it was really nice and it is visible how much the staff enjoy their jobs.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't have made a better choice. It is beautiful and extremely clean. I didn't find a speck of dust anywhere in the entire house. The decor was exactly what I wanted in a B&B. The room was more beautiful than what we expected from the photos (Fitzgerald room). We had a fireplace which was wonderful and the bathroom was very modern and contained spa like amenities. Upon finding out we were on our honeymoon, we had champagne and balloons waiting for us. Wine hour at 6pm was a nice treat prior to dinner and the organic live music on Saturday night was wonderful. No detail was spared. There were brownies in the afternoons and complementary bottled water and sodas, as well as Flavia coffee available at all times. We have already talked about going back!! Lynn and Ron are wonderful, engaging hosts. We are pleased to have spent time with them in their excellent B&B.
My husband and I needed a getaway and Brookside Mountain Mist did not disappoint. I cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay! Every need and detail was attended to. Carolyn was so gracious and helpful, and the meals that Dina prepared were delicious and filling. Great room and amenities!
