Every year my best friend and I take a 1 week motorcycle trip. This year we did The San Juan Islands. On Orcas Isalnd we had the pleasure of staying at the Orcas Hotel. What a great place with old world charm. Doug and his staff went above and beyond the call of duty. Breakfast was the best . Location was outstanding and the views to die for. Post card setting at its best. We will gladly recommend your facility. Thanks again to everyone who may our trip a pleasant experience.

We just had our Wedding on Orcas Island. Working with Doug & his Staff at the Orcas Hotel was a pleasure, he insured our day would be relaxing and fun! He handled finding the Chapel, he recommended our Officiant and organized our guests' stay at the hotel. Everyone at the hotel treated us & our guests like family. We could not have been happier with the experience.

We had reservations for two nights at the Orcas Hotel. We arrived late in the afternoon and upon checking in, were advised we had been upgraded to a room with a private bath. GREAT! We took advantage of the November dinner special at the Bistro and it was absolutely excellent. Breakfast both mornings in the Cafe were also excellent and provided with the room. Overall our stay was excellent in every way..the Management and Staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and the rooms are awesome..especially for one who enjoys antique furnishings, as we do. We are hoping to be married on the Island within upcoming months and can't wait for our next visit. Thankyou so much Doug.

I was impressed by the view of the ferry dock! The room was neat, clean, and warm. We wanted our night to be special so we got a room with a soaking tub. Not worth the extra money because the was not enough hot water to fill it all up. So, after out tepid bath we got to sleep on a very comfortable bed. In the morning the ferry horn woke us up and we got ready to go. Breakfast was enjoyable and our host was very knowledgeable and hospitable about the island. He was so wonderful!

The staff is excellent here. We had an emergency and needed to get to Seattle quickly. The staff members were quick, efficient and understanding. The rooms were nice. There is only one bathroom for 5 double room with two shower stalls. They had the best eggs ever! Food very good. The hotel is clean. The decor is nice. The grounds are beautiful. The view of the ferry coming and going is great!

Originally we had booked "Octavia's Attic" at the Orcus hotel. When we arrived the owner of the hotel welcomed us and told us he was going to upgrade us. We were bumped up to a lovely room with a private bathroom! We would have been happy with our original room, but it would have been a little cozy for the two of us and it did have a shared bathroom. Overall we were delighted with the antique furniture and the charm feel of the hotel. We LOVED the food served in the hotel cafe and the restaurant. The owner was very helpful in his suggestions and tips about the island. We were even able to sit on the balcony and watch the ferry boats! Loved our stay!

I only stayed one night in this beautiful little hotel but it is definitely one of my favorite places of my 2weeks trip through Washington and Oregon. It is located right by the ferry jetty (but don't worry you hardly hear them, so no noise problems!!) which makes it easy to reach for pedestrians and drivers. The rooms are very homely, decorated with much love and the view is spectacular. The restaurant in the hotel has delicious food and staff was very helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gem to friends and family!!

I enjoyed my stay. Dinner was accompanied by live music and a full house, and the food was very good. Service was friendly and efficient, and the hotel is certainly convenient when you need to catch an early ferry!

We were married at the small chapel just West of the Orcas Hotel near the Chestnut Hill Bed & Breakfast (valley) and rented out the entire Orcas Hotel for our reception end lodging 20 years ago. This stay was our 20th anniversary. Beautiful and tranquil place. We absolutely love it up in the San Juans, particularly Orcas Island and the Orcas Hotel.

Beautiful views, quaint Victorian setting, exactly what we wanted. We had their best room; a 2nd floor corner with wrap-around balcony offering views of private garden and the ferry landing. Unfortunately for our appetite, Friday night featured a local jazz ensemble (very talented, by the way) in the dining area. They were a real draw, and the place was packed beyond the capability of the wait staff to keep up. Without going into details, everything went wrong. So I'd recommend staying there but develop alternate plans if they're going to have a band, or just eat early!

What a charming hotel! I especially loved the parlor - a victorian style sitting room with a cozy fireplace. Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. I felt right at home. I can't wait to go back.

Our friends stayed the night before we did on the third floor and said they were freezing cold. We stayed on the second floor and were roasting hot and had to open the window.

My boyfriend and I decide to make a quick weekend get-a-way and stayed at the Orcas Island Hotel. True, the decore is pretty old fashion and it might need some improvements here and there, but overall it was a great eperience. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast included with the stay is a great deal! When we come back, we'll definitely consider staying at the Orcas Island Hotel again.

The Orcas Hotel is located across the street from the ferry landing. Making this an easy place to locate. The hotel is old but the rooms are generous with the bathrooms being sizable. Furnishings are appropriate and comfortable. Make sure to ask for a space heater as there are no room controls for heating or cooling. It gets very cool in the evenings. Our only complaint was that our shower had no cold water. Obviously, repairs were under way, but it made showering with only hot water an ordeal. The staff was apologetic. Our room came with a free breakfast which was excellent and hearty. Dinner in the hotel dining room was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was showcasing their new chef,Ryan. We had the opportunity to meet him. He is a young and very enthusiastic chef. The meals he prepared were top notch and made the trip worthwhile if only for his cooking. Overall, the Orcas Hotel is worth the visit. You get a nice sized room with amazingly friendly staff, and now you have a hot young chef ready to show off his latest creations. A truly serene and sublime experience. Enjoy!

Good value for money with this charming historic inn located right at the ferry landing -- great if you don't have a car. Breakfast is included adding to the value. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Great views of the water.

Wonderful hotel with charming historic atmosphere, luxurious yet cozy rooms, super friendly and committed staff. We had the largest room (Blind Bay), overlooking the bay and ferry terminal, and I wish we could have stayed longer than just one night. The breakfast in the little bakery/cafe was great too, and included in our room rate. I almost regret that the weather was so nice that we didn't get to hang out in our beautiful room as much as I wanted to. It was pricey, but so is everything on Orcas in August, and we splurged because of our wedding anniversary. I would definitely come back here!
