Magnolia Manor B&B

My wife and I stayed at the Magnolia Manor B&B for four nights. Wonderful place; so close to historical Williamsburg that you can walk. The food was outstanding. Scott and Jennifer are great people. We'll stay again when we return.

Situated perfectly near olde towne Williamsburg and William and Mary college, this inn is a non-pretentious yet welcoming alternative to other lodging destinations. Breakfast was delicious and the environment celebrates the historicity of the area. Scott the proprietor was welcoming and awesome, and the rooms were very comfortable. The next time I'm in Williamsburg, I know where I am staying: Magnolia Manor.

Stayed at this spacious bed & breakfast just down the block from Colonial Williamsburg and William & Mary for 4 nights last week. Our hosts rented all the rooms to my family for a reunion, and we made best use of the common areas that were large enough to accommodate more than 14 people. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable, complete with all the amenities you'd find in a hotel. Most rooms had a bathroom within, the exception being my room with the bathroom outside off of the hall, but very convenient nonetheless. We were a loud group, early risers and late niters, but we heard no complaints from the folks that ran the b&b. Speaking of the 2nd b - breakfast - we had 4 great sit-down/buffet style meals, enough to start the day and last us well into the afternoon. Our host/chef was eager to give us his recipes, as we especially liked the cream-poached egg with cheese topping. Overall, I'd recommend Magnolia Manor for comfort, cost, convenience and the warm, welcoming feeling of being at home.

If you are looking for an elegant room that is conveinient to colonial Williamsburg than this is an average choice. My husband and I have been fortunate enough to stay in some pretty phenomenal b&b's and so unfortunately this stay did not meet are expectations. Although the inn keeper was friendly and helpful, the breakfast served each morning was meager and sometimes just odd. There was usually not enough for substantial portions and choices were limited. Most items seemed right out of a frozen bag when we are usually use to a home cooked meal-which we consider part of the experience in staying in a b&b. The rooms were very nice and the beds huge and comfortable but there was hair in the tub and the tub jets were kind of crusty looking so that we were not comfortable getting in the tub. Overall, I would rate this as an average stay but certainly not the choice if you are looking for a memorable experience.

Charming B&B, close to everything, and the service and food was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.

Magnolia Manor is a lovely B & B , with antique furnishings & comfortable rooms ! Tea and cookies were nice afternoon snacks . Canopy bedding was beautiful , with very soft sheets in the Gardenia Suite.. Hot tub was so soothing .. Breakfast was in a beautiful dining room , served on antique dishes while hot food was kept warm in chafing servers . The breakfast food was a special selection of crepes, hot food choices , fruit juice, and hot beverages I especially enjoyed ! I brought my family here, and I heard nothing except how much they all liked the quaint atmosphere and accommidations !

We stayed in the Colonial Getaway and it was very cozy. Next time we are going to upgrade to one of the other 3 rooms as they have in-room bathrooms and ours was in the hallway. The breakfast was very nice and different each day. We REALLY enjoyed our stay.

We stayed 3 nights an loved it. Scott & Jennifer were perfect hosts recommending great restaurants. Our room was big and comfortable, tea and coffee on tap, and great snacks. A great location for Colonial Williamsburg.

The accommodation was absolutely wonderful and our hosts very gracious.They met the special diet requirements of my wife as well as arranging a last-minute reservation at "sold out" restaurant so we could celebrate of 55th anniversary in style. We highly recommend it.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Magnolia Manor on Thurs 9/11/08. Beautiful place. Great location. Convenient to everything you could possibly need. Food, shopping, convenience stores, gas stations, etc. Very nice people. Good food. Very quaint. Only issue I did have was the television. Only a 19" or 21" tv in the room. Not that big. We were exhausted from a long day of travel and when we were done with the "touristy" thing and wanted to zonk out for the night and watch some tv it was a struggle to watch at best a 21" tube tv when you're used to a 32" or larger HD flat screen. But other than that it was a phenomenal stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.

We recently stayed at the Magnolia Manor B&B. It was a very pleasant experience. We had a stressed week and were looking to unwind. The suite was nice and clean. Scott, the owner, was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. It was a plus to have fresh baked cookies, and fruit breads during the day under the cake dish in the living room. And the Inn is wiithin walking distance to the historic Downtown Williamsburg. It was a very nice weekend, and we would absolutely stay there again. Peter & Debbie Thompson

We stayed at the Magnolia Manor at the end of July and it was great. Scott & Jennifer are absolutely charming, polite, friendly and accomodating. The Manor is a beautiful bed & breakfast and I would recommend it, very clean and comfortable, and a wonderful breakfast each morning. I left some things behind and Scott was so great about it and shipped them out to me within a couple of days, and that meant a lot to me that he took the time out of his day to pack the items up and then go to the post office to ship them. I would definately stay there again. Great people, and the other guests where very pleasant as well. Also it is very close to old williamsburg - within walking distance, and within driving distance to a few plantations, great history there. You will enjoy your stay. Janice

The hospitality we shared with the innkeepers was outstanding . The breakfast's were more than we expected and were delicious. The rooms were very accomodating and clean. We loved every minute of it. It is also located very close to the Historic Area.

We stayed for 2 nights. Scott and Jennifer were great. They provided wonderful meals and stay for us. The Honeymoon Retreat room had a great whirlpool tub and 4 heads in the shower. It was very relaxing. We'd highly recommend this B&B.

We stay at the Magnolia Manor for 4 nights in May and loved everything about the place, the room, the breakfast, the innkeepers, everything! We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, with a huge canopy bed, Jacuzzi, and two-person shower. The breakfast every morning was amazing and the other guests staying at the B&B were so nice. The innkeepers, Scott & Jennifer, were knowledgeable about the area and incredible friendly. They offered muffins throughout the day along this games and movies, that we took advantage of every night! I would recommend Magnolia Manor to anyone going to the Williamsburg area.
