We had an outstanding visit here. It's in the middle of the country - very peaceful. A beautiful part of Virginia. We were lucky enough to do a llama trek which was fantastic. Breakfast - outstanding.

Clean room, nice location for visiting natural bridge, safari zoo, and Foam hinge! A lovely place to have a picnic at the top of their hill. Couple that runs the inn are very nice!

Great place to stay if you prefer being out in a more rural area with beautiful mountain views! Hot tub was wonderful, breakfast nutritious and delicious. Unfortunately there were no llama treks the morning we stayed, but still were able to see them during breakfast and sit with them after which was neat. Be sure to check out the nearby Animal Safari park!

Chris and Linda Best were wonderful, personable hosts. We stayed for a couple days after getting married and it was perfect. We will definitely go there again!

We had a very unique experience with the llamas. It was a fun time and beautiful location removed from any hustle and bustle . The staff was more than accommodating and very helpful. The only criticism I have is I thought it was more accommodating with pets. We couldn't leave ours in the room because she would jump on the furniture, which isn't allowed. She is so used to doing it at home! So we ended up having to bring her with us everywhere. If your pet isn't used to doing that, you will be fine!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our February weekend getaway at the Applewood Inn. We stayed in the the Europe Room, which included use of the fabulous hot tub. The breakfasts were very tasty and our hosts were very gracious and warm.

Chris & Linda were wonderful hosts at this charming Lexington B&B. It was a great place to go for a weekend getaway from the hubbub of DC. The llamas were so cute, and we only wish the weather had been better for more llama face time. All in all, a great place, and we will definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Applewood inn. The inn was dog friendly and our dog joined us. She enjoyed seeing the llamas and they enjoy seeing her. The breakfast was hearty and plentiful. The llama trek was fun and a great way to spend the morning. We will return!

My two granddaughters and I stayed at Applewood Inn in August. This was their first B&B experience, and what a wonderful one it was. Chris and Linda were so cordial and welcoming. We were made to feel more like friends than guests. The serene setting is very releaxing. The rooms are a good size, comfortably decorated, and immaculate. The girls loved hearing stories from Chris and Linda about the Llamas and their distinct personalities. They were able to interact with them as well. Our two breakfasts included an egg dish and corn cakes that were fantastic! Everything was freshly prepared. The girls had so much fun, they didn't even miss TV or iPads. We hope to return to Applewood Inn for another visit. Highly, highly, highly recommended for either couples or a family with children who can appreciate what nature has to offer.
