Carriage House of Woodstock

Everything about this lovely B & B was great. Although the room we stayed in was small and a little crowded once we moved in with all our stuff, it was impeccably clean and for the price it was just fine. Mark and Debbie were warm, informative and welcoming, and the breakfasts were to die for. My only criticism is for something no one can really control; our front-of-the-inn room was noisy with traffic all night with the windows open since it was summer. But for that the considerate hosts even provide earplugs!! I would highly recommend this inn.

This was a Great place. It was my first Experience in a bed and breakfast, and my first trip to Vermont. The owners were wonderful, the place was quiet, and the Breakfast was amazing. Home made muffins in the morning, and cookies at night. I was there for the wedding of a friend of my girlfriend's, and it was a great time. It was great to find some one in Vermont (Mark) who knew as much about Southern football as I did.

We had a delightful stay in Woodstock and our hosts were the best! The breakfasts were incredible, and we met so many nice travelers during our stay. Mark and Debbie go out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. Frances Anderson Oct. 2010

We were cordially greeted on arrival; our stay in the Lincoln room was comfortable and relaxing. Debbie and Mark helped us choose a restaurant for dinning and discussed the tourist attractions in the area. In the morning, breakfast was superb. Only negative aspect was the difficulty with internet service

Debbie and Mark (and of course Ruggles - Magic never appeared - hmm - is he a magician?) - welcomed us into their home - despite us arriving abit late in the evening. We were settled into our room (Henry) - and found to our delight that it had a full bathroom (something we're not used to in B&B's). After that we were told of a few places to eat in Woodstock, all within a short drive from their B&B. Couldn't ask for better advise (Bentley's). The next morning, we were lazing around in bed, when we heard a little meow at the door, to discover Ruggles was all set to come in and spend some time with me. I'm a cat lover, so loved it! We then slowly made our way downstairs to a wonderful breakfast that Debbie had made - knowing that I'm a Type 1 diabetic aka Fat Cat Anna at Diabetes1.org having to watch my carb intake. I've written to her already asking her for her blueberry muffin recipe, as they didn't make my blood sugar (BG) spike up at all and I ate like a pig (she wanted to make sure we were well nourished). Oh and if you like coffee, you will love what they serve here and not be disappointed at all (I'm a bit of a coffee snob LOL). I wish we could have stayed longer, but alas, we had to go back home. You won't go wrong with staying here at all!

Mark and Debbie were so friendly and welcoming, it was a joy to stay at the Carriage House Bed and Breakfast. We had a private room and bath that was quite and secluded - though in the morning we did smell the aromas of breakfast waking up (what a way to wake up!) This B&B is just out of town, a very easy drive into the village and only a few miles from skiing in Killington. I would definitely stay here again, especially with such a value!

The Innkeepers, Mark and Debbie couldn't have been more accommodating. Every thing was very clean and comfortable. Also, the Inn was just right outside of Town.

My husband and I decided to stay at a bed and breakfast in Vermont because it was close to where he lived an I did not want to travel very far. The Carriage House of Wood Stock was exactly what we were looking for... As soon an we walked in to the house and meet the inn keepers we knew we made a great choice, not only did they make us feel welcomed but they were both so warm and friendly. I felt right at home. The service during breakfast and the super clean room made our 2 night getaway unforgettable.... I am sure that my husband and will stay there again in the future. We really enjoyed the friendliness of the innkeepers at this B&B. They made you feel like you were at home. They also have a book w/the menus from local restaurants, which was a big help for my husband and I! Mark also gave us suggestions on which restaurants he thought we would like, we tried one and loved it! Debbie gave us a good deal on the Moxley Room, so we were well pleased w/our stay.

This bed and breakfast was fantastic. Quaint, very close to skiing and a cute little mountain town. Surrounded by gourmet restaurants. A very good find!

We stayed for two nights and three days, during winter vacation week. Our room was spacious for two, with a private bath with a whirpool tub. A fabulous breakfast was provided each morning, between the hours of 8-9:30. The Innkeepers were pleasant and sociable, offering a plethora of information about restaurants, activities and events in and around the area.

Charming, historic house; Beautiful historic town with attractive architecture; Peaceful setting; outstandingly warm and considerate hosts.

I stayed at the Carriage House for my birthday weekend in January. The inn keepers were great. They were so kind and friendly and so eager to give us info for things in the area. The room was great and the whole house was very clean. Great location and great service. Overall a nice place to stay.
