    Newly renovated century old home convenient to Jefferson City, New Market, Morristown, Sevierville, Rutledge, Strawberry Plains, Newport, Cosby, Pigeon Forge & Knoxville. 3.5 miles from Carson-Newman College. 2 miles from St. Mary's Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Lost Creek Golf Course 5 minutes. Several other golf courses are 20 to 30 minutes away. Cherokee Lake 5 to 10 minutes. Douglas Lake 20 minutes. Chilhowee Park & Panther Creek State Park twenty minutes away. Located on alternate route for those traveling east on Hwy. 11 to the Bristol Raceway. Four bedrooms (two are queens, two are full beds) with private baths. The house has six TVs (most are 32"), wi-fi, free local and long distance calls and faxes. New, comfortable mattresses, bedding & towels. Choice of hot breakfast or continental breakfast for a lower rate. Whole house can be reserved for weddings or private functions.     A Great Place !!

    As B&B owners ourselves, we always look for B&B's when we travel. We found a gem when we stayed at "THE MINNIS HOUSE" in New Market, Tn.a quite little town with lots of history. Kim and David were wonderful hosts and saw to our every need. We hope to visit again.

    We had a "mini" family reunion-6 of us spent the night at Minnis House-4 more joined us for breakfast-great food! great hosts!!! Very gracious hospitality! Will be back.

    The Minnis House: Feel right at home while travelling

    From the moment you meet David and Kim Stapleton, you realize you've found the right place to stay while visiting this part of Tennessee. Located just outside of Knoxville, Dave and Kim are knowledgeable about the many attractions (and even the area's history) to be found here (Dollyland is close by, for instance). The house itself couldn't be nicer: more than a hundred years with its own rich history, yet complete with all the modern conveniences. Kim and David make you feel right at home, (actually, part of the family), and given its rural setting, there is no better place to relax and be with good people. So put The Minnis House at the top of your list. You will want to stay more than just one night or two, and definitely will want to return.

    The hospitality of the innkeepers cannot be beat. They certainly go out of their way to accommodate your desires. The food is delicious. It's a wonderful place to stay if in the Jefferson County area.

    We stayed 2 nights with our 5 month old and would do it again! They have a beautiful home and the owners do a fantastic job taking care of every need. It was so nice to find a place that was open to having a baby there and he slept GREAT!!!! It is super clean and the property is well-kept. It is a fantastic place for Carson Newman visitors to stay.

      If coming East from Knoxville, take Exit 394 Exit(Hwy. 11 East)off of I-40 and come up Hwy. 11E to the New Market traffic light. Turn left. We're immediately on the left. We are about 15 minutes from Exit 394. If coming West on I-40, take the 417 Exit (Dandridge) and turn right onto Hwy. 92 into Jefferson City. Turn left onto Hwy. 11E. Turn right at the New Market traffic light. We're about 15 minutes from Exit 417. We're immediately on the left. If coming from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, stay on Hwy. 66 to I-40, going over the interstate. Bass Pro will be on your left and the Smokies Baseball Stadium on the right. Stay on this two-lane country road for 7.9 miles, crossing over Hwy. 25/70. Turn right onto Hwy. 11E at the traffic light. Drive approximately 7.8 miles and turn left at the New Market traffic light (churches will be on your right). We are immediately on the left. GPS systems give wrong directions at this last turn.
