Stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was the perfect spot. Close to shops and restaurants. The room was great and had a great historic feel to it. We enjoyed the fruit offered to us and decided to eat somewhere else for breakfast.

Palmer's Pinckney Inn has a lot of charm. It's manager, Martha Beasley, does it all: cleans and prepares the rooms, washes the linens and towels, and sets up the kitchen for breakfast. However, she also manages the "sister" B&B (Palmer House, which is about a mile+ walk) and is not on site all the time. It needs some TLC and upkeep, such as removing old deadbolt locks and repairing the doors and frames where they were. Air conditioning and the electrical systems need to be improved.as well. The furnishings are nice.

We stayed just one night and we really felt like home. There was no staff there, but a lot of notes with indications for us. We had to cook our own breakfast, what felt a bit weird, but appreciated the trust on us. The next morning we met the host when we were leaving who was very kind and apologiced for exceptionally having left us on our own. A sure recommendation for my friends.

My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the Inn and have no complaints. The downtown location was really good and despite the nearness to the stables little noise was heard. We would stay again provided we could obtain a discounted price like this trip as the full price is in our opinion to high for what is on offer.

The service at the Palmer's Pinckney Inn was outstanding. We had a last-minute need come up for printing and scanning and Martha, the manager of both the Inn and the Palmer Home, went out of her way to help us. They were very accommodating in every way. The only downside of our stay was the lack of any continental breakfast at all. Luckily, the Palmer Home offers breakfast for a small fee and there are, of course, many restaurants very nearby. Overall, great location and great service.

Accommodations are charming with historical character. Innkeepers are personable, warm, and attentive. We appreciated the free off-street parking (although the driveway is a bit of a tight squeeze.) The Inn is in the bustle of downtown situated between two carriage companies (one block from the Historic Charleston City Market). Be sure to enjoy breakfast and/or afternoon wine & cheese at the historic Palmer Home overlooking the Battery.

I will surely check availability when returning to Charleston. The Inn is an incredible value considering the location. Perfect spot for those that enjoy a weekend rental with lots of character.

Came for a weekend with my wife and stayed in the Bombay room. The location is fantastic. We walked everyplace and never needed to move the car. The room was nice (made my architecturally inclined wife happy) and the service was laid back and comfortable. You don't really have any on-site food service but there is breakfast stuff in the fridge that we were welcome to. Only draw back was that the gas fireplace didn't work. Not a big deal but it would have added a bit to the mood. We plan on returning with friends.

I came to Charleston for a relaxation week, and this place was EXACTLY what I wanted/needed. I was driving from Wisconsin, so I was going to miss the check-in time. They were wonderful in e-mailing me back and forth and even called me while I was driving there to let me know how I could check in if no one was there. I did reserve a room upstairs, but they said they accidentally double-booked it, which I was told I was the only one staying at the Inn, so I was a little frustrated when they said they put me in the room downstairs facing the street (Equestrian Room) because previous ratings commented on the noise you hear from the outside street. They offered to move me into the other room upstairs, but I quite liked the idea of having the view of the street and because I went in the "slow season" of Charleston, the street noise was minimal, and as it turned out, it didn't bother me at all. If you sleep lightly, this may not be the room for you. The room itself was awesome. Huge king size bed that was so comfy. Plenty of space and table/shelves to set your things on, ironing board, coat rack, hangers, drawers, the whole ball of wax! Perfect for a couple days, or an extended stay! The bathroom was great too, apart from the dirty toilet which was definitely not wiped and pretty gross. The tub is deep with jacuzzi jets which was wonderful to relax in! A whole cabinet of space, and plenty of towels! The kitchen was quaint, they had food/snacks always available along with clean dishes set out. I'm not sure if it was due to it being the slow season, but I didn't see anyone there very often, but I didn't mind it! They make themselves readily available if you need anything, so you shouldn't feel like there is no help. Very, very polite staff, and extremely friendly! No doubt if I ever make it back to Charleston, which I'm most positive I will, I will definitely stay here! Thank you guys so much, you made my get-away exactly what I hoped it would be, relaxing.

I stumbled upon Palmer's Pinckney Inn in July and could't have been more pleased. Loved the location, how clean and how cute it was. Felt so at home and cozy -- also, it was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Already planning a trip back.
