My wife and I stayed here April 2016 on our tour of southern states with some American friends from NC. We fell in love with Charleston and our stay was enhanced by the terrific welcome we received from everyone at the Philips-Yates- Snowden House. When I say we were treated just like family I mean it. we were made so welcome by not only Jack and Annalise but by all their family. The house is absolutely fantastic and very authentic in every detail but not only that it is in a perfect area for discovering Charleston. Our room ( Cypress) was wonderful extremely clean and tidy with every amenity we wanted, We loved the Charleston Cheese and Wine daily meets with other guests at 6 pm outside on the veranda. If we ever go back to Charleston (Which is likely ) this is were we want to stay! Cant speak highly enough of the house and it,s lovely owners thank you for a wonderful stay. Jack and Annelise were the perfect hosts that welcomed us into their home transforming our visit into a true southern experience. Their insight and guidance led us on an adventure that span culinary, architectural, historical, and cultural aspects of this wonderful city and its people. Starting our day with a great breakfast and always looking forward to the evening discussion over wine which was the end to our perfect day. Oh wait...then they guided our dinner reservations to some of the best places we've ever eaten! Can't wait to return next year...now our favorite city east of the Colorado River!

Anneliese and Jack could not have made our trip any better! Along with Martha, we felt like family. The home is lovely, clean, and inviting. Our room was delightful and, although on the lower level, we were never bothered by outside noise. Breakfasts were yummy, and the Southern "happy hour" provided time for conversation and catching up each day. We will definitely return here on our next trip to Charleston.

Annelise and the house manager, Martha, made my husband and I feel right at home and as welcome as personal friends. Our room on the lower level was lovely and the first floor dining and living rooms are beautiful examples of a traditional Charleston home. We enjoyed the afternoon social time that allowed us to learn more about Charleston as well as enjoying the company of the other guests. 15 Church Street is an excellent location as it is close to the Battery and within easy walking distance of the city trolley system. We hope that we'll be able to return to see more of Charleston and, if so, we'll certainly plan on staying with Jack and Annalise.

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary weekend and had lovely time. Jack and Annelise are the most wonderful hosts. We felt like longtime friends! Our room (the blue room) was clean, spacious, bright and had wonderful views. Sitting on the porch in the morning and getting to know the other guests and talking with Jack and Annelise was our favorite part! Breakfast was delicious and the cocktail hour was just perfect. If you want to experience Charleston and meet some fabulous people, stop researching and book here. You won't be disappointed! Thank you Jack and Annelise! We hope to be back soon!

Jack, Annelise, Martha, Drifter, Franny, and Clarence were all wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like we had known them for many years. We were even afforded an impromptu Harbor tour on Jack's boat on a wonderful Sunday afternoon. We hope to return for many years to come.

Dr and Mrs. Simmons take great pride in their home and wish to share it with their guests. Not only is the home magnificent but the warmth is evident in everything. By choice, my breakfast was typically Southern but the menu was varied and wonderful. They were helpful to help me plan my days to absorb the Charleston history. Providing local information was invaluable. The stay could not have been better. I would return to 15 Church Street: The Phillips-Yates-Snowden House in a minute, Jo Skibby

My husband and I stayed in April and enjoyed the stay from beginning to end! We were greeted warmly by the gracious hosts who obviously take great pride in their lovely home. The artwork is amazing and the furnishings are equally impressive. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. They have a social hour on a peaceful porch which provided a relaxing opportunity to get to know the other guests and hosts. Cheese and crackers were provided-a nice touch. Unfortunately, I cannot drink or eat the food sue to food allergies but my husband enjoyed the nice touch. they even had beer on hand for those that drink. their son was very nice and interesting to chat with as well. The location is ideal. We felt safe walking around and were near many attractions and restaurants. We love Charleston and the B and B. We will be back! Thank you!

My boyfriend and I spent spring break in Charleston and choose to say with Jack and Annelise because they spoke of giving their guests an experience (and no cheap wine) - we were so glad we made this choice. Every interaction we had with these delightful innkeepers and staff was not only pleasant but something we looked forward to each day. The Charleston social hour held daily on their veranda is not to be missed - it was a time to relax, enjoy, and gave gems of information from our hosts and other guests. Our room was clean and private and full of charm. We enjoyed watching the dolphins play in water - which is a 3 minute walk away. If we return to Charleston I promise we will be staying at 15 Church street. All the best to Jack & Annelise & their guest past and future. ~Becky Beth & Marc
