What an enjoyable stay we had at Heritage Manor Inn! The owner, Ross, met us at the door and was very friendly. He explained everything we would need to know about our stay including asking what our plans were for staying in the area and gave us tips for places to go while we were there. Diane and Ross made a delicious breakfast for us each morning including local in-season fruit! We would definitely stay at Heritage Manor Inn again and commented to each other frequently throughout our stay that we would return.
The first time we stayed at the DeLano and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Marcia, the innkeeper, was very gracious and accommodating. The room and B&B was everything advertised and more. Many amenities were available or we could sit on the porch and relax. Next time we visit relatives in the area, we will definitely stay at the DeLano.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Jack's Bed and Breakfast, Pigeon Creek Inn. The combination of the quiet, wooded location with easy access to the beaches and walking trails and Jack's warm hospitality accented this great find. We were able to spend some quality time celebrating while resting in this beautiful setting. Rooms were inviting, clean and comfortable. Thanks!
We stayed at the Baert Baron Mansion last week in the first floor room. The bathroom is beautiful and as big as most bedrooms. It has a shower big enough for two with a rain shower head and a claw foot tub. The antiques are amazing. Anna brings dessert to your room each night, home made and delicious. Breakfast was at 9:00 and delicious. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. I hope to go back.
I was looking for a weekend getaway for my 10th anniversary and didn't want the typical lace doily B&B. This was the place. Very modern with a wonder screened in room for just lounging or breakfast. Anniversary Suite was breath-taking and a wonderful atmosphere all around. I will definitely be going there again.
Serendipity is charming. David and June made us feel welcome and cared for. They introduced us to the charms of Saugatuck-answered our questions and made great recommendations. And the location is perfect-a convenient stroll to bustling downtown with so much to do. The breakfasts were wonderful and made a great start to the day. We look forward to returning.
Our room was lovely and overlooked this gorgeous property. Ruth couldn't be nicer or more helpful and Herb's gourmet breakfasts were the best way to start the day. Loved the walks through the wooded areas and the amenities available at all times made our stay there that much nicer. Will definitely be back
We had two weekday nights available and took them! Having stayed here in the past we knew what we could expect and booked them at the Monroe Manor Inn. Although I would have liked to have tried out a new room, we ended up with the one we had before, the Beechwood, as the Inn was full! The Beechwood's greatest asset is the large bathroom with double sinks and lots of counter space. The room, as well as the rest of the home, is immaculate, comfortable, and very relaxing. Breakfasts were delicious and more than we would ever have at home on any given day! In spite of the rain and fall-like weather, we had a great time and made new friends. Always a worthwhile getaway! Highly recommend this beautiful home on the outskirts of South Haven! Close enough to take in all of the sights and beaches, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to sit back and really relax!
This was our first time in a B&B. Its everything we could have asked for. Our host, David, was superb in telling us about the house, town, and sights to see. We really enjoyed the breakfast. I would stay again.
We love Serendipity. Cleanest best place ever; I never want to stay at a hotel again. Felt like home away from home. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous great home made and wonderful food. I would definitely recommend Serendipity!
Since I am limited to 2K characters - here is my short review Luxury: Jacuzzi Tub Starbucks Cofee and homemade Cocoa! Room Robes Outside swing! Pool Not Luxury: Being in the "house next door", it was different to read it then it was to experience it - we felt more like we were at a hotel then a part of a B&B experience, walking outside and around to get to the main house was sort of a pain. Coffee Maker - really needs upgraded to a Keurig, takes too long to brew Sound Proofing - we heard the couple in the beach suite (its apparent our bathrooms shared a wall) No bottled water in room, have to go to main house for filtered water. No choices as breakfast, I think we ate the same cheese and egg pie cut different for two of the mornings. Lack of interaction with B&B owners - we felt like we saw the staff more then we saw them - and they didn't enjoy breakfast with us (which we like) Cost of massage versus value of massage (tried to cancel in advance but felt guilty even through there is no cancellation policy on the site or written anywhere) Cleaning of room (we had issues which needed to be brought to Cheri's attention twice before taken care of and still resulted in a trip back to the main house for refil of Coffee) Website lacks information, has broken links. Really wanted to read about the house and owners Wasn't the Luxury we thought we were getting for the price we paid. Did enjoy ourselves, wont be back though.
Friends and I stayed the weekend at Serendipity for a friend's wedding in Saugatuck. The suites were the perfect place for a group all wanting to stay in the same location. David and June gave us plenty of info regarding places to visit in town during our stay. The location of Serendipity could not have been better to all the downtown attractions. The best part was the hot breakfast delivered to our door each morning, which was perfect as we didn't have to leave to find food. It was also delicious. It was a great place and great weekend!
I choose the attic suite, for it was me to a T. It was decorated so beautifully and I felt like royalty living in luxury. We even had a tray of beautifully wrapped treats and snacks waiting for us on our bed. The owners go way above and beyond to make sure your stay is remarkable. The rest of the house was also exquisite with antiques, beautifully decorated and lovely smells throughout the whole house as if she had been preparing deserts all day. Anna the owner, graciously showed me the other suites and gave me a tour of the entire place. The breakfast the next day was literally fit for a King. Extremely delicious and more than enough food was served. We also enjoyed our host and other quests as we all sat around the table and got to know one another. The added bonus of a late night treat was even cooked and prepared for us as well as being served what ever drink we wanted. The owners are the most welcoming, down to earth, loving people I have ever met. We were greeted as if we were old friends, given hugs and made to feel as if we were at home the minute we arrived. I have honestly never stayed at a place I felt so at home, welcomed and safe. The is no need to lock your door to your room and no worries at all of strangers lurking near or the feeling of being in a place that is not safe. The neighborhood is immaculate and the neighbors even came over to sit a while on the porch and greet us. My husband and I were even given the opportunity to entertain our hosts. My husband and I play and sing bluegrass style music, so we got the honor of picking out on the porch. All the other guests came and listened as did the neighbors. It was a blessing to be able to have such a fantastic place to stay. I cannot recommend Baert Baron Bed and Breakfast highly enough. It was the best place I have ever stayed in my entire life. Any one choosing to stay there would be blessed beyond their expectations and treated like royalty as we were.
We came for our 30th Anniversary. We were not disappointed in anything at the inn. The innkeeper is friendly and always willing to talk. He offered several destinations and dining options that were wonderful. The inn is a new building and this made a very nice difference from the high ceilings to the huge windows. The appointments were simply amazing! The location is nestled deep in the woods and this was great as you are away from all the noise. You are close to the county park that is a short walk through the woods to the south. The breakfast was fresh and good. We would suggest this to anyone needing to get away from the rush.
Serendipity is a lovely bed and breakfast, within an easy walk (2 blocks) to the shops in Saugatuck and close to nearby beaches on Lake Michigan. Stayed in "The Library" suite, which had comfortable bedrooms. Lovely breakfast included.
We celebrated one night at Castle in Country Bed & Breakfast for our 10 year anniversary. We could not have celebrated any better. Everything was top-notch. The room was superb, the food excellent and the gounds were so peaceful and well kept. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely return.
When we first saw the pictures of the Baret Baron Mansion, we knew we needed to stay there! We arrived with Vic greeting us on the front porch, we instantly felt welcome. Then we met Anna, such a delight, kindred spirits, the rest of our time spent was very restful, I am always tending to others as I own a Tea Room and. Salon, it was such a delight to be tended to. Dessert in the evening, breakfast In the morning, ( we could get used to this!) as busy people we often forget to take rest in the Lords Goodness, we heartily recommend the Baret Baron Mansion. The breakfast conversations, the afternoon naps, the view! Surrounded by God's Beauty, We will return soon ( the beauty of the mansion is breathtaking !) Thank You Victor and Anna, your hospitality is exceptional. Blessings Abound Phillip and Dee Burch
The Monroe Manor Inn was just what we were looking for! The Master Suite was beautiful and the breakfast was amazing! We especially loved the wine and cheese at 5 o'clock! We are already planning our next stay! Thank you, Doug and Nancy!
My wife and I, and two other couples spent the weekend at the mansion with Vic and Anna. It was like coming home! Anna was a very loving mother, loving and caring, and a fantastic cook! (WOW what a cook). Vic was a pleasure, bringing us desert at night and very nice person. In all it was a pleasure to be there and can't wait to get back not just for the house and surroundings, but to see our new friends in Vic and Anna. Outstanding, clean, peaceful, place to visit.
My wife and I enjoyed two nights in the New York Loft and had an absolutely fantastic stay. There was not a detail missed in our suite, the main house or the grounds. The attention to detail (labels, heated bathroom fixtures, pop in refrigerator, movies galore, etc.) were the topper to the overall fantastic service. Each morning, we also enjoyed a wonderful homemade breakfast with unbeatable hospitality. This is the top B&B at which we have stayed, will spread the word to friends, and will absolutely return.
My husband and stayed here for our one year anniversary and we will definitely be back for more visits. We loved the big beautiful master suite (FYI, there is just a claw-foot tub with a handheld shower head. No actual shower in the bathroom) it was tastefully decorated and even though we stayed at the end of July, because of our unusually cool summer we were able to enjoy the electro fireplace. The hosts were very accommodating since we arrived so late Friday night. And the bed was VERY comfortable. Breakfasts were amazing. (Waffles and sausage on Saturday and amazing quiche and raspberry almond muffins on Sunday) the wine and cheese hour at 5 was very nice and the coffee was great! It's only about 10 minutes from town where we rented bikes and road on the trail. Town has several good restaurants and cool shops and antique stores. All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and we don't have enough good things to say about our stay and our hosts.
I surprised my wife for our 20th anniversary with a two night stay here. We had not been here before and only had the online reviews to go by. We stayed in the Lady Guinevere Suite and I opted for the Royal Treatment package. This included breakfast in the room one morning, a couples massage, picnic basket lunch one day, and a dinner voucher from one of three restaurants. They have the service very well choreographed and on-time. All of the staff were exceptionally polite and professional. We really wished we could have stayed a third day to be a little more relaxed. The only reason dining did not get five stars is do to the drive to get to most of the restaurant options. Be sure to try Salt of the Earth and Butch's Dry Dock. Guys, if you want to break the stereotype of the clueless husband surprise your wife with a trip to Castle in the Country. I earned a ton of brownie points and we can't wait to go back!
Enjoyed the privacy of the separate suite. Breakfast was delivered in a basket, and was hot, fresh and delicious. Location couldn't be more convenient for Saugatuck. Took advantage of the hot tub and loved it.
Thank you Vic and Anna for the amazing tea party you coordinated. It was a surprise 40th birthday party for a dear friend and we had a great time! The food was excellent, the hot lavender tea and lavender pound cake were heavenly. Your kindness and generosity were truly a blessing. While we did not stay at the bed and breakfast overnight, our afternoon tea party will be a wonderful memory. We did get a tour and the rooms are so clean and very beautiful. The decorations and atmosphere are very calming and peaceful. We all felt like we stepped back in time. Thank you again and God bless you and your family!
Owners were very friendly and helpful with information about the area and highlights of places to see. Breakfast was delicious each morning. We very much enjoyed our stay at their B&B and our first visit to Michigan! We certainly hope to visit again next year.
This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and we had a wonderful experience ! This one night stay getaway was something I was so excited to get to, I couldn't wait for our reserved date. The room was absolutely gorgeous, it had everything we could have wanted and needed right there. The canopy bed was my absolute favorite, and it was very very comfortable. I can't wait to come back, and while I want to stay in the French Riviera again, I would love to try every room! Great hidden treasure in Grandville. I have lived here all of my life and never knew it was there.
