Apple Streusel Bread Pudding with Hot Rum Sauce: Dessert

Servings: 12

Prep time:1.5 hours

Ingredients:

  • 7 large croissants

  • 1 cup applesauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/3 cup raisins

  • 8 large eggs

  • 3 cups milk

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup butter

Step 1:

Slice croissants and line the bottom of a greased 9" x 13" pan with croissant bottoms.

Step 2:

Mix applesauce, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins and spread on croissant bottoms in pan. Put tops back on.

Step 3:

Beat eggs, sugar, milk, and vanilla with an electric mixer until well mixed and pour over croissants.

Step 4:

Cut butter into flour and brown sugar until crumbly and sprinkle on top of croissants in pan.

Step 5:

Bake at 300' for 1 hour or until set.
