"A true gem of a bed and breakfast, we stayed here with 3 generations of our family, and all of us were happy just relaxing on the beautiful property and in the good company of the staff, guests and owners. The inn is beautifully kept and the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We spent the majority of our trip kayaking, fishing, and relaxing outside in the garden and yard. A wonderful, fresh breeze off the water makes the shade beneath the trees a perfect spot to idle. The breakfast was delicious, and the owners provide a spectacular wine-tasting event in the evenings, featuring wines produced by their son in their own orchards. The wine-tasting is the nicest I have ever experienced, with each wine being well-paired with an Hors d'oeuvre. We could not have asked for a nicer retreat from the hectic life-style of the DC/Baltimore region, and all in a 2 hour drive. We met several kind guests and the whole experience was fantastic. We will certainly be returning to this home, and though the selfish part of me wants to hide this special place for myself, it is impossible not to return the great service we were given by informing others of how nice it is too.
