We recently stayed at the Christopher Joyce Vineyard and Inn. Celebrating our anniversary Joyce (the inn keeper) was very thoughtful. When we arrived she already had flowers in our room and invited us to appetizers and wine that evening. We decided to join her and the other guests. She even got out a bottle of sparkling wine and taught my husband how to saber it. ( Opening the bottle with a large kitchen knife by breaking the top of the bottle off cork still in the glass) Totally cool since we had never witnessed on before. Looking back I wish I had recorded it. She also was great an accommodating our dairy food allergy. Except for the very bright morning sun (no black out curtains), it was a wonderful time. Thank you Joyce, for a trip we will never forget.
My daughter and I found this place on Bring Fido.com. We were driving from Seattle to Southern California and wanted a nice inviting place to stay. The hostess was very helpful..waiting an hour to end her day because we got caught in traffic. She made us a lovely berry crumble and left us a bottle of wine to end a very long driving day. A bed and dog treat were ready for our puppy. The room was very large, had a good size kitchen and a good size bathroom. Everything was ultra clean (I am very much a clean freak), the towels were thick and plentiful and the sheets like butter. We had a lovely peaceful stay and I will be returning with my husband for a wine weekend, as it is conveniently located to many of the wineries. Forgot to mention the s'more kit to use at fireside. A nice added touch.
Our 2 night stay at Christopher Joyce was a terrific experience. Joyce was a gracious hostess, great cook, and helpful guide. We would strongly recommend staying here for a restful visit to the area.
The nieghborhood surrounding Bike Lane Inn is no indication of the type of stay you will have. Driving up, we were a little nervous. When we walked in, we were plesantly surprised. Elaine and Scott were very welcoming, the place was nicely decorated, very clean and had all the comforts of home. We had access to a fridge, Elaine brought out a glass of wine and some snacks for us, our room was comfortable and the patio was had a beautiful view. The location was off the beaten track, but within walking distance to restaurants and bars. We were just passing through, but I wish we could have stayed there for another night. I would recommend the Bike Lane Inn to anyone travelling through the area.
Spacious room, great bathroom, beautiful view, very comfortable bed, and fantastic owner. What more do you want? OK. There are more. Awesome wine, extremely quiet place (no one's around, except the owner's house next door), best value to stay in Paso Robles, and fine dining in downtown Paso Robles isn't too far away. Now, can you ask for anything more? Dunning Vineyards truly is a hidden gem.
Charming, friendly people run this establishment. We stay here often. A breath of fresh air (literally) from living in the Los Angeles area! Beautiful grounds to wander day or evening, the most beautiful and delicious breakfasts, you would think you were at some fancy restaurant in New York. 3 rooms total. 2 are in a separate building removed from the main house. Every experience we have had here has been awesome, and we have had many. We have only stayed at one other B&B in Paso Robles. Once we found this place, why mess with perfection?
We’ve stayed at Sundance B&B four nights twice and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Paso. We love it! Alma and Neil . . . and Barkley make the Tuscan villa nestled in vineyards feel like home away from home. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Alma’s creative gourmet breakfasts alone are worth the trip. Alma and Neil feel like old friends and are great resources for what to see and what to do in Paso. We’ll be back, and next time we’ll stay over a Saturday night for Alma’s gourmet dinner. Susan & Brian B.
We always enjoy staying at the Creekside. We love the quiet and the "country" feel. It's perfect for us, but if you want a place where you can walk to eat, shop, etc., then it's not for you. BUT, if you want a clean, comfortable, happy, fresh, cozy, star-filled, friendly and yummy place to stay, this is it!
My husband and I spent his birthday weekend here and we were delighted. This inn has only six rooms and the innkeepers (Lois and Mark) make you feel right at home. Eating breakfast on the patio with views of vineyards and countryside was such a treat! Our corner room was spacious, clean and so pretty. We will definitely return!
Hosts are great, food fantastic, thier set up is wonderful with happy hour tastings, breakfast on the porch etc Most charming stay we have ever had. Marlowe & Corinne are the best.
We got together with old friends at the Inn (three couples). Joyce welcomed us the day we arrived with tasty hors d'oeuvres on the back deck, overlooking fields of grapevines bathed in afternoon light. The Inn is spacious and modern with interesting art and expansive views. Our room had a beautifully appointed shower clad in stone with dual shower heads. There was also a deep, Japanese-style soaking tub we never got around to using. Everything Joyce prepared for us food-wise was excellent. Her breakfasts were substantial, and set us up for our long days of wine-tasting. The wines she paired with food were also quite good. Joyce is flexible and unflappable: we originally asked her to make us dinner one day but as our plans changed during the day, we simple called her and worked out alternate plans. The Inn is a great place to relax and decompress.
We had a great experience. The breakfasts were super filling and delicious. The host were respectful, responsive and kind. We enjoyed using the fire pit. I would have liked to have our patio/balcony area cleaned off to make it more appealing to use. There were cobwebs, bird poop on the lawn chairs and it was dusty. That would be my only critic, honestly it wasn't a big deal. We definitely will be returning hopefully in the near future. We highly recommend it to other fellow bed and breakfast connoisseurs that appreciate real breakfast.
We have stayed several times at the Wild Coyote B&B with most recent stay earlier this week. This is a fantastic place, right next to the tasting room and the winery and the rooms are fantastic. Authentic adobe style complete the building materials and furnishing right down to the items on the walls. The view from your patio is awesome across the vineyards and over to the hills on the other side of the road which are trees and a vineyard as well. And don't forget the fantastic Wild Coyote Estate wines, have been enjoying their wine for more than 10 years! And the breakfast made and served by the 1 of the 2 owners, home made, delivered to your casita! An awesome place, is a couple of miles from town so keep in mind if you want to go out for dinner and have adult beverages, you might want to arrange for a car service.
The perfect blend of luxury (at non-luxury prices), friendly interaction, local art, and fantastic views. As a local winegrower, Joyce has the inside scoop on notable wineries, places to visit, and great restaurants. Her spreads of breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres are full-on gourmet experiences. Highly, highly recommend a stay here - then come again and bring friends!
Oh what a way to spend the afternoon. My Wife & I purchased a lovely bottle when we checked in. Sitting on the patio with wine & cheese overlooking the vineyard was just spectacular. At night cool breezes star lit sky and sound of surrounding nature made for a memorable stay. Highly recommend.
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW via mobile My wife, daughter, son-in-law and I just spent two nights at Creekside B&B when we were in Paso for the 2014 Paso Wine Festival (our second time at the Festival). Got off to a great start when we were greeted in the parking lot by Amy, the mistress of the inn. After showing us to our room with a quick tour, she soon returned with a delicious plate of strawberry shortcake and a gift bottle of Syrah from the region. Saturday and Sunday mornings of our visit, Amy and her husband Tom delivered scrumptious breakfasts to our room. Our room (The Room with a View) had many amenities - small refrigerator, coffee maker and a bean grinder, etc. The bathroom was small, but well appointed. The 2nd bedroom was used by our daughter and son-in-law, and would work better for children, rather than an adult couple. The locale is in the country near Paso and is very peaceful. I enjoyed reading on the deck, drinking coffee before breakfast both mornings. The inn cat, Queenie, was a joy, clearly very comfortable with inn guests. Amy and Tom are genuine folks and we would definitely stay at Creekside again. Stayed May 2014
We had an amazing time at a little organic farm & cottages! All the notes and personal touches made us feel so at home. From the bottle of wine and beautiful breakfast baskets to the lantern you left on the barbecue, we couldn't have felt more welcome. We enjoyed adoring Shadow, milking the goats and stargazing at night. It really was a perfect getaway, and we hope to return. Thanks!
My wife, daughter & son-in-law spent Friday and Saturday nights, 05/16-17, in The Room with a View at Creekside while in Paso for the Paso Wine Festival. Amy and Tom are wonderful hosts, and we had a great stay. Amy greeted us in the parking lot when we arrived, gave us a quick tour of our rom, and then returned shortly with a big plate of strawberry shortcake and a gift bottle of Syrah from a local vineyard. Yum! Both mornings Amy & Tom delivered scrumptious breakfasts to our room. The room was well-appointed with small refrigerator, coffee maker, bean grinder, etc. The separate 2nd bedroom was used by our daughter and SIL, but it would be better suited for children, rather than an adult couple. The inn cat, Queenie, was good company, especially in the morning when I sat on the deck drinking coffee and listening to the birds and critters. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit.
The room and breakfast was definitely more than I was expecting. The room was very clean and organized and Scott and Elaine were very nice. Plus, we found out that Firestone Walker brewery was very close by! I would recommend it to anyone, especially on a budget.
Very welcoming and helpful hosts, glasses of wine on arrival, extremely comfortable room and bed, plenty of privacy, wonderful location and delicious breakfast. Will hopefully return....loved Templeton too.....
If you want a peaceful, storybook cottage setting, quiet and away from it all, this is the perfect place. Beautiful big oak trees shade nature trails, deer wandering around. We loved the coziness of Suite 1. Our host, Christine, even supplied us with cream instead of 1/2 and 1/2 for our coffee, at my request! They aim to please.
