"Private Haven!"

" This was my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I loved it! This B&B is tucked away in Turtle Lake just behind the St. Croix Casino! It is a gem. The first evening we witnessed almost a dozen deer including several fawns traipse across the lawn; and a doe and her 2 fawns returned for the fallen apples in the lawn that I had set out near the fire pit! It was so exciting to see so many deer at once. Earlier we had taken the canoe out for a tour of the lake and saw over 50 Canadian geese take off as we approached them! The fresh fruit, apple tart, egg frittata and blueberry french toast served for breakfast were also memorable! Plus they serve Louie's sausage and bacon made fresh up the road past Comstack, just north of Cumberland. The owners Turner and Patti are warm, welcoming and fun to talk to; besides being great at advising you on what is happening in Polk County, Wisconsin! They have a list of area restaurants including menus for suggestions on where to dine locally. They also had wonderful recommendations on places to visit in the area. My friend and I loved our room overlooking the back yard with two cozy chairs in front of the fireplace, a jacuzzi in the corner of the room and a very comfortable bed with silky 600 count sheets! Canyon Road Inn is truly a wonderful respite and can be enjoyed year round ,with Fall being tthe most spectacular in my estimation! Thanks Patti and Turner for a wonderful stay! "
