We had the best 2 days possible and Des couldnt have been more helpful, The fish were biting and huge, tasted great too. We will be back as it was good value for money and we will be telling everyone to not miss this part of New Zealand. Thanks again Des Doug and Chrissie

What a fabulous experience ! This venue for our daughters wedding ceremony was superb. The hosts provided exceptional hospitality. Our stay there was faultless. Juen provided advice and ideas which showed her experience in hosting weddings. We booked out all the rooms for two nights and what a delight have such quality and atmosphere. Breakfast was totally enjoyable, even had homemade jams. Totally recommended for any occasion.........even just a night away!!!!

The perfect place to Chillout en Chillout Taiwawe Lodge (Hikurangi, New Zealand)

Des offers the most wonderful friendly and hospitable experience I have had in the many years of B & B I have done. I was impressed with the many small touches provided such as chocolates, games of coyts, fresh towels, nibbles - just to name a few. Des went out of his way to make my stay very enjoyable. I enjoyed a fabulous boat trip out to surrounding bays, walking the Mimiwhangata Peninsula, fishing, collecting tuatua and going to the Helena Bay Hill Art Gallery. Des offers more than this for activities, and I urge anyone to do whatever is available. I enjoyed the fresh home made bread, and freshly prepared meals. I couldn't have asked for anything better to meet the idea I had of parking myself on the edge of the earth to soak up land, sea, bush and sky. I was in awe of the landscape and never tired of it. This is a truly remarkable experience. I will not forget any of this, and I sincerely hope to return again. Denise Poyner
